    I was giving love to my 23 yo PS1 that my father gave me for Christmas, it's really special to me since my father died years ago, and I always wondered how to fix the sticky open button, this was really helpful man, thanks a lot!

    Thank you! only took 5 mins to fix that jammed (opening) button, some sticky residue i guess was preventing it from being pushed to being stuck, but when i opened & unscrewed it all i couldn't see any kind of residue that would cause the button to jam & get stuck but glad i got it open & wiped it twice w that I-alcohol & it worked! THANKS!! PS1(1997) YR MANF. reads 25 yrs old only a year older than me.

    Could you make videos on how to hook up:
    1.Ps1
    2.Sega Genesis 16-bit
    3.Sega Dreamcast: Sports-edition
    Recently while clearing out my step dads garage to move in we came across him and his siblings old consoles (and we even think we might have a Nintendo 64 and NES System hidden away somewhere cause we found games, controllers, and cables) we’ve been able to bond over our love of vintage games and this video has helped us fix the PS1’s we found. I hope to clean all the consoles up and see if they still work soon and I thought you deserved a much larger audience and views on your videos so I just wanted to write my thanks to you down here for helping us out. The video was super helpful and simple to follow that we were able to fix them both in less than 15 minutes. Again just wanted to say thank you a bunch for the video and I hope you keep making them and helping more people enjoy vintage gaming for years to come.

    Any tips on the power button?

    • @videogameexpert41
      @videogameexpert41  Год назад

      So the power button is a physical switch with a spring that compresses and decompresses so if the button is sticking it either means it’s dirty and you should pop out the power button similar to the open button. If it’s not caused by dirt the actual spring in the Switch may be damaged.

    A bit of constructive criticism- you might want to be mindful of how much you say “go ahead and…” in the narration. Since you recorded it a separate audio voiceover, it’s an easy fix on an otherwise perfect demonstration.
