I just bought a 2013 corolla S in Barcelona Red and I'm very satisfied. My previous car was a 350z convertible, so I know what it's like to drive a performance car, but I also know what it's like to maintain one as well. I just wanted a nice economy car that I could depend on for years so I went with toyota.

  • @mhtube01

There was a time when Toyota built cars that ran forever and were very well built, the 90's. The Camry in particular was one of the best cars you could get for your money back then and was one of the cars that gave Toyota it's "they run forever" reputation. With how they (and Honda) have cheaped out, and Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda, as well as the domestics gradually taking their business, I won't be surprised if they don't last as long as expected.

I bought my 2013 Corolla S last june.. I was worried I wouldn't like it.
I made sure it had the few things that I require... Cruise control, moon roof, and a manual transmission.
I love the car but I had to make it my own so I purchased a intake system and a exhaust system for it along with a short shifter and now I couldn't give the car up for the world. Love the dumb thing. xD

It's synthetic oil, meaning it's life is much longer than other types of oil. I own a 2011 Toyota Corolla with 16k miles, bought it brand new, and i've never had any problems with gunk built up from not changing oil every 5k miles. Tire rotations happen every 5k, and oil changes every 10k.

It is not noisy at all, whatsoever and it is very economical, the car is cheap to start of with, you can get up to 38 mpg city and I don't know how much on highway from my experience and its a 4 cylinder what do you expect? You expect it to look like a Ferrari engine? compare it to any of its leading competitors and there really isnt much of a difference. The interior is actually pretty nice too. And please don't think Im a Toyota fan boy because Im not I own a Honda Civic and Its a good car too

In Indonesia, Altis equipped with DOHC DUAL VVT-i electronic valve control both for fuel-air and exhaust at dual cam shaft maximise the combustion chamber; plus ACIS (auto anti over back pressure muffler); plus Super CVTi (7 gear tronics), and 10 hp more than the civic. While Civic remain SOHC, 5 gear regular gear, regular muffler, any other feature are more or less similar, and yet Civic is around 1500usd more expensive than Altis. At the big picture, the Japanese are good in identifying consumer behavior and managing their market with product diffrentiation among their Companies.

He also said that the engine has V6-like power........WHAT?!!? LOL!! That right there says it all, that he doesn't know shit about cars. That engine is one of the least powerful in it's class pushing out only 132 hp. Wow that will really plant you in your seat alright.....V6s today are putting out over 250 hp and many over 300. This is the most biased "review" of an extremely dated car I've ever seen. Every car it competes with blows it away.

I lost it when he said "power equivalent to a V6." Come on, these cars don't have turbos, they're slow. A Camry or Avalon with a V6 would blow the doors off a Corolla. If you think the g forces in these are impressive, please let me take you for a ride in my Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. Then you can see what real acceleration is.

i bought this car a while back, and it is a pretty good car. the S is not really sport its more style i guess. it has about 132bhp, and after the manu warranty i plan to make it faster. the only thing is that i wished they had leather seats with the S not the cotten crap, unlike my 2000 celica gts that came with leather seats. for a car that is used for a everyday use it is pretty good, but if you want a car with more power go with the toyota camry

My 2008 Yaris with the 1.5L had better TR and a better torque band than my 2011 Corolla S... that's sad when you consider the Corolla's engine is a little bigger and in print says it's more powerful. Actually, you should never buy a car made in Canada... I have less than a year with my Corolla S and i'm already looking at a Mazda 3. Too many defects, the car should cost around $15,500, not $21,000, it's overpriced to begin with.
