    My daughters had asked me the other day if i can choose to go back in time, what age do i wanna visit again. Initially I said 18.. then I thought no, I hated school, broke, and remembered how I can't wait to grow up. Then I gave it a hard thought and I know that I love where I am now, in my 30s. Stable everything, financially but most importantly, mental stability ❤️

That’s what we did with our brothers. Of course, also speaking Spanish to him. Absolutely no English for them. Kids learn English as soon as they make it to pre-k! Proud of you for wanting to teach him two to three languages!

The thought of real growing up and aging hit me hard...I am not married, I dont own a house, childfree. But Im very grateful for these kinds of videos to show me the exciting part of next decade of my life. Im more confident than ever, finally feel somehow free. And I hope that will continue in my 30s.

      I didn’t marry until 34 (better to wait for the right one), I don’t have kids and I prefer to rent than to buy. Those things aren’t what define us: the facts are simple: comparing yourself to other people is the easiest way to make yourself feel awful, even though other people may have had help that we didn’t- we don’t see that aspect. Have faith in yourself- the journey is just beginning

Everything is a battle against yourself and made dependent on your achievements but reality is that life is so much more un-calculated and messy :) I'm proud of you nonetheless internet-stranger, not everything that you achieved has to be made dependent on something that is visible. Hi Jenn 💮- Love seeing how you are embracing your 30's, the challenges, the blessings, the joy and everything else that comes with it! So proud of you! You are an inspiration!💖👑
    Adulting has brought so many realisations and revelations and I feel like we will be 'adulting' forever as each decade is filled with new experiences and lessons. Our relationship with ourselves, others and life just keeps on evolving. Our 30's I feel are the first decade in our lives where we really come into ourselves, even though we are still 'figuring it out' we have also 'figured some things out'. The journey is different for everyone of course but I think most would agree that some stage in our 30's we become more self-aware and honest with ourselves about who we are and what life we want to live, we have more acceptance about what is within our control and what isn't, we have more acceptance towards ourselves as well as others. Our 30's can be stable and turbulent. I hope that as people go into their 30's they can embrace the ride that comes with it and not put too much pressure on themselves with expectations they may have had in their 20's about where they should be in life. Have dreams and goals, work towards them diligently and healthily but check-in with 'why' you are doing things and evaluate if it is really aligned with you and how you want to live. We all change over time.
    Stay safe and well 💛

  • @sw33tm3
    @sw33tm3 2 года назад +78

    I couldn’t agree with you more Jenn! And I hate how the society teaches women to be terrified of growing older. 30 is not old, to those girls who are worried about 30, it literally feels the same but better. I’m now 34, I feel much more emotionally and mentally steady and happy, because I am much more confident in who I am and what I’m capable of, giving less fucks about others opinions.
    20s was fun but it was a VERY confusing time trying to figure out who I am, what I want to do and how to do. But you learn and grow, that’s what life is about!
    One last comment I wanna add, to anyone who feels like you are falling behind compare to your peers. Remember this, NO ONE has a blueprint for his/her life. You can have a plan but life is NEVER going to behave how you want it to. Don’t get stuck on the idea of you need to have your entire life figured out, no one can do that. Enjoy your present, learn from your past, and keep an open mind for your future.
    It is a marathon, not a sprint, enjoy your journey! 😊

      Wow as a 28 year old who went through many hardships, I fear 30. I feel like only now my life has finally begun and I finally have peace. But I feel like I’m not ‘young’ anymore.
      Your comment is very sweet. I have saved it.

    • @sw33tm3
      @sw33tm3 2 года назад +4

      @@Esandeech2 I went through a very rough patch in my late 20s, and eventually found peace within myself. You aren’t alone! It’s easier to say than done, and we all have different experiences. As someone who went through my own dark days, I can assure you, you will get through it! Try to focus on taking care of yourself, you are your biggest treasure, remember that!
      The society teaches us women 30 is old. I can tell you that is 1000% not true. 30 is not old, you may not be 20 any more but 30 is not old.

    I'm in my late 20s' and exact 29 years old this year. Since starting 2022, I have had mornings waking up and feeling extremely worried and stressful about how can I embrace my 30's. No married, no reaching my goals, no time with my family, no outstanding career, my body is changing day by day, my friends have a stable life with their own family. I feel like everything is not fulfilled for me, I feel jealous and unlucky which sorrow me a lot. But day by day I realize that no one can help me but me to overcome these stuff things. I practice to think positively, I avoid to depend on and expect from others whom I can not control them. I spend time with myself, improving myself day by day by reading book, learning and doing yoga, avoiding negative things which have influence on my mood like surfing on social media, joining parties...
    Thanks Jenn for making me feel more brave to step in 30s. Instead of being anxious for what will happen next decade, I should enjoy every moment I have. Wish me and everyone like me have a memorable 30s'!

    This vlog was strangely and tremendously comforting to me. Lately I’ve been extremely anxious about my future (not being able to graduate, etc) and can definitely relate to the “diagnosis and fix” mindset. There’s something so pure and light about the smaller, quieter life moments you captured in this vlog (taking Lennon to the park, choosing to watch another episode instead of doing something work-related), something I’ve never really allowed myself to fully enjoy. It’s a great comfort being reminded that that stage of life is actually attainable.

    1:02 I don't mean to be sarcastic or anything but the 30s doesn't mean that one would be financially and mentally stable. I genuinely enjoy watching your videos every week - you are hard-working, and your growth over the past few years has been truly inspiring. You're probably one of RUclipsrs I've been subscribed to for the longest time. But this video felt like an Instagram feed where I watch highlights of everyone else's life and end up feeling bitter instead of motivated. It feels unrealistic and I feel very, very behind. I guess I'm jealous, but it feels like anyone would have said the same thing if they had achieved everything you've achieved... hope I'll feel differently when I look at it again in a few years with more stability.

      Heya I feel ya. This is just Jen’s 30 and not everyone’s the same and it’s ok. For me when I turned 30, I was surrounded by friends (the most I ever had), a great job but I was feeling extremely and I mean extremely lonely. Didn’t have financial stability or a partner or a baby, did not achieve most things on my goals/dreams by 30 and was deeply unsatisfied with the way my life turned out. Also still not yet there at 40 but I’m happier as my mind is clearer and emotions more cared for. The Important part is not give up on yourself and not let videos like this get to you. Remember you never know what Others (influencers etc) are are truly thinking or feeling, only what they carefully craft for public.

      Yes i was reading the comments and most are from younger people who still have plenty of time. A lot of people still struggle in their 30s. Not everyone has had success in their life despite working hard and continuing to work hard. Also not everyone is lucky enough to have a loving partner or able to start a family yet. There are many struggling and her 30s is probably what we all wanted but most people won't be able to achieve. I'm still working hard waiting for the time when i can put up my feet and relax and enjoy daily life instead of grinding and stressing if i will be stable enough in the future if i stopped working for a moment. I'm close to my goals but when the time comes i know it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I think it's important to try enjoy every moment in life and accept where you are and that change can happen if you work on it.

    What about those who have turned 30/are living their 30s who don't feel like they've achieved the things they dreamed of? Sometimes I feel like 30s are hyped to be 'the' years but that, in itself, puts so much pressure on feeling like you've got to have your life sorted by this time! Would love to hear your thoughts on this ❤️

      Your journey is uniquely your own. Forget the societal stereotypes. They'll only set you up for expectation and disappointment when it doesn't go the way some influencer set it up so carefully to look like. Just enjoy yourself and love yourself every step of the way. You'll get to where you need to go.

Therefore no matter what I'm doing or not doing, I can appreciate those moments more, instead of wondering why I'm not achieving those external things. But of course I have my off days, and I'm sure Jenn and everyone else has those sometimes too. Wishing you the best!

    Love the video and it's awesome that you're exposing Lennon to so many languages and learning to use them with him!
    Would it be possible to eventually add subtitles to whole videos (either Open Captions as they are currently, or as Closed Captions)? The portions with captions make me feel extra immersed and getting to know what you're saying not only in other languages, but also the English parts when my house gets noisy from my own adulting life with a fur baby and significant other running around the house 😅. I think that they'd be awesome to have for people who are deaf or English second language learners to better access the video too!

And thus, I for one was left feeling sad and wrong after watching this. I hope people watching this video realize that having a baby does not “a genuine family” make. Not every married couple aspires to have children, and that does not exclude them from being a real family. This video, plus a prior one in which Jen says that outings before having a baby feel less meaningful than with a baby, are kind of a let down. Still a huge fan but disappointing nonetheless.

    Don't get botox!!! It is so toxic to the body, it's literally a neurotoxin. And it actually reduces empathy because it freezes your face muscles that naturally expand to express empathy. It interferes with a baby's ability to read their mother's emotions which creates a disconnect between the baby and mother that can effect them later on in life. You literally don't look a day over 25, your skin is incredible. But also you shoudn't be so afraid of looking your age, cause it's just buying into the unrealistic standard that social media has put upon us. Aging with grace is a beautiful thing.
