- In this episode, join me on a wonderful solo camping trip beneath vibrant autumn maple trees. On this leaf-blanketed campground, I'll be cooking over the campfire using a WWII-style German army mess kit and a US army canteen set. For sleeping, I've embraced simplicity by transforming my Jimny into a cozy capsule hotel. Sleeping in a compact car like Jimny is even cozier than a tent.
I always enjoy cooking with simple tools like military mess kits; it feels more satisfying than using modern, fancy cook sets. In previous episodes, I've often used mess tins, adhering to the same principles. For me, satisfaction comes from making the most of what I have. It's about creativity and simplicity, finding joy in the resources at hand. Life is similar-happiness often lies in the simple things around us.

Thank you! I’m sure you will have a good time with them. You could also have a look at Swedish army mess kit. It comes with a spirit stove and windshield, but it doesn’t have that small cup inside. Hey have a good time!

I've slept in mine Nattai NSW. The condensation was terrible, I noticed it on your video. Was it an issue? Did you vent the windows? Insect screen?
Hi, thanks for stopping by again! I left a gap in each window, and yes, there will be some condensation in the colder months. However, I don't see it as a big problem since the condensation usually disappears within about an hour after the sun hits the glass. I did notice someone selling window blinds for the Jimny, which can help with the condensation and improve insulation. I made a half set for myself using EVA foam sheets and foil blankets from Bunnings. Here are some helpful items:
