- A "How To" install tutorial by the by the company who invented DIY campervan cabinetry kits. ZENVANZ shows you how to install their award-winning bamboo and aluminum campervan kits.
This video shows DIY Kit install only and doesn't dive into "systems" like insulation, electrical and plumbing... but as is typical in our vans the Kit is often the first thing installed in a van (meaning our clients can use their van and camp from day one - and then complete those other projects over time as money and free-time allow)!

Do you do anything to black out the background space in-between the ceiling slats?
You guys did an excellent job with your kit. Looks fantastic, and I really like how you designed it for function, looks, easy install and light weight. No doubt lots of effort and time went into it.
Typically no. The thinsulate insulation we recommend is black and naturally handles this for us, but we have had clients blackout behind the slats when using other insulation like wool.👍🏽

Great video and products. I was wondering why there was no insulation or sound deadening material added to the ceiling before installing the bamboo slats?
Because this code was meant to focus on install of kit only.
But also fair to say (because the components are so easy to remove/re-install) that in many cases the kit is often the first thing to go into a van. 😏

What kind of Van can this kit be installed in?
We can make a DIY van kit (and any custom layout/components you might need) for any high roof van!!
No insulation??
We would certainly recommend insulation, but this video focuses only on the DIY Kit install itself.
For many/most of our clients the DIY kit is the first thing to get installed so that they can still use/camp in the van throughout the build. Because everything is so easy to remove, they will simply unbolt a panel(s) as time allows to install insulation and other systems behind the walls.
A video on insulation installation would be nice. Great video guys.
You failed to show insulation, wiring and plumbing prior to installing walls and roof panels
This video was only intended to cover DIY Cabinetry Kit install... not all the various systems in the van.

This is just a simple how-to for the basic kit. At this point all out kits are made to order, so we can work with you on and layout/components you might want/need!
Insulation is typically handled by the DIYer themselves, which is why we aren't showing how to install it here (obviously we've never built a van, nor have our DIY clients that didn't have insulation)!
