My brother bought an AK from Atlantic few years ago. The pin that holds the bolt together slid out of place causing some stove pipes and double feeds. The cases being extracted looked wicked, like put in a vice and blown out. By the time I checked the bolt and saw the wear on the receiver, there was a Massive gouge. Lot of metal went missing. I will never buy anything from Atlantic and neither should anyone who enjoys life and not being dead. True story. If that gun had come apart we would be missing facial features.

I still believe in buy once cry once, and it’s worth it to save for a better brand new product like you say. The vague description on these make it seem like they were used by special forces to train Africans to take part in a coup or something lol …

Shame companies claimed these were US military. We have enough real Yugo M70AB2s in inventory that we don't need to buy from Century. Probably DynCorp, or a similar contractor. By the time Century started using Polymer handguards on the M70AB2s, they also started using Romanian parts. A lot of the parts in the Yugo kits were too heavily pitted to use. Bolt carriers were often a real mess.

I’ve literally posted photos on Instagram of American soldiers and Marines with Century Arms imports & or kit builds/factory guns. The select fire AKs used by the DOD are primarily modern Bulgarian guns.
This is why they sold out in minutes. People buy 3 at a time. Century should be ashamed. Is this how they set the new standards for the imports that are hard to get? Glad I got a good one a few years ago. Fuckin Century Arms, never fails to disappoint.

Zastava has new production under folders made properly in Serbia. Spend more, swap the furniture, forget the grenade launcher. US doesn’t use 24mm rifle grenades anyway so it’s a useless feature
And if you want the bayo lug/grenade sight combo, you can literally just buy one from a parts kit and just put it on. Not really a deal breaker for me either way.
