The easiest way to deliver the flower is to do it in reverse, first killing all the enemies and never resting at a bench as this will reset the enemies. Then pick up the flower and do follow the path the normal way, all the harder enemies you killed will still be dead. Also when you do that you still have to go back to the grey mourner to get the shard. At first when I dropped off the flower I was wondering where tf my mask shard was after all that effort :')
For anyone crazy to NOT do this, get the Grimmchild and max him out, it'll help... BUT do get rid before going into Fog Canyon. You don't want your murder happy pet attacking the Oomas.
@@luciferheller8725 I used to have a build involving Glowing Womb, Dreamshield, thorns, Grimmchild and whatever else I needed After going deeper into Fog caverns (around Monomon's place), well, I've never switched my builds out so quick lol I use Dream weaver, Dreamshield, Lifeblood Core and (three slots for whatever) now I've lost thousands of Geo just to this place (all earlier in the game of course, I lost the most when trying to parkour to Cornifer[Oh Oh disappointment when I saw the wall] and he way to Monomon's place before breaking the left cave wall)
I have such a love hate relationship with this game but I just can't stop playing it eventho I'm super slow cus I like taking my time , also this comment made me laught x'D stuck in dirtmouth ahahha
Kaviix just stay patient. I am so bad at it but I stuck with it and I was able to beat the final boss and get the ending that takes the longest to get.

i almost broke my keyboard in half on the grey mourner because i was in the green path and had killed everything without sitting on a bench then just before i got to fog canyon i decide to take a break. and then a little moss creep pops up when i look away for a second...
Ohhh no!! That’s the worst. One time I went from the end point and killed every enemy on the way to grey mourner. Then on my way back to the end point I died on the very last jump by dashing into the spikes.... I know your pain. I was so upset. At least all the enemies were dead and I just needed to run back real quick.

The colosseum is super tough and took me quite a while to be able to beat. The thing that made it possible was finding out you could one hit the primal aspid a if you use great slash

I go so far as to cut out all of the loading screens. It takes a lot of time but people appreciate it. I make tutorials the way I wish they were. Quick, to the point and not trying to steal my time. 10 min videos are crap and just to squeeze in an extra ad or two.

@@jetstream_sam1340 no he meant the 10th shard not mask and the maximum masks you can have is 9 masks because you start the game with 5, and there are 16 shards, and each mask is 4 shards, so 16 /4 = 4. So 4 masks + 5 original masks is 9 which is the maximum

To make the trip much easier you could have set up a dream gate at the start point so you wouldn't have to go back and forth and it also doesn't reset the enemies after you use the dream gate

What I did: Focused as well as I could and used the shade cloak to get behind him while he fired the laser (he stays still at that time, so there’s also a little time for healing, too) and dodged the ceiling lasers.
Turns out it was in the crossroads . You know the one with all the goams and I didn’t think to check there because on my steel soul account I got it and thought it was to obvious to look there ... I found it 3 days later
4:55 here’s a quick tip, DONT SIT AT THE BENCHS if u dont the important enemies won’t respawn so if u get hit don’t sit at a bench and just keep going until the enemies are slain then start again

thanks for this video; I was frustrated I was missing just one mask, it turned out I completely overlooked the Brooding Mawlek fight (very easy with pure nail and upgraded attack charms). Thanks a lot for the other tutorial videos as well

Theses videos are amazing and don’t get me wrong they’re really helpful. But just as a suggestion to new players, figuring things out on your own in this game is much more rewarding so I would only suggest following tutorials if you just absolutely, CANNOT figure something out. Ps. Watch these videos once your past these sections regardless just because they’re so good.
I finally found my second to last mask shard thanks to this video! It was the 13th mask shard in the Royal Waterways! Gonna go deliver that flower now! Hopefully the extra bit of health will help me beat the 3rd pantheon! I've made it to Sly with only 8 masks and I'm hoping this last one will be the difference maker!!!
brooding mawlek will always be hard, that monstrosity of an enemy kept me from beating nailmasters for like 2 weeks, and i think i just suck at this game
Really nice video. I was missing #16 for some reason. Super nice that you showed map a couple of times per mask and explained well. Some videos just assume you know the entire world in your head and doesn’t even show the map even once. Great job.
I had 7 masks and I came back to get the rest after closing the game and I lost the mask so I was that’s ok I’ll just repeat everything and ended up not being able to get the mask shards back so now I’m gonna forever be down a mask
Just got into this game recently. I'm about 30 hours in my first playthrough and I'm absolutely hooked! First side scroller I've ever gotten into since ps1 days
nice use of the red arrow to show routing, it is always a pain when you take a long break half way (months knowing silk is being obsessed over) and then come back to finish up missing one thing. invariably it can be look everywhere in sequence. the optional mawlek was what i missed. at 57+ hours and counting and approaching the full completion not really wanting to waste time. nice job. (i have it on switch and ps4 but finishing with the console that has a dpad.) switch lite looks a good second console to play the quality 2d games tbf. you just know silksong is going to be a time portal. going to buy that twice as well. what a great job they did and look to be doing.
Sometimes when you tlak it sounds like your in a busy train station on a small laptop while like 45 people around you are taking to their friends and there's just you sitting there recording
I was deployed with the military when I made a lot of these videos. I would wake up at 5am to record in a USO, lounge type room until a bunch of other people showed up. Sometimes I would keep recording even if people showed up. Hopefully the video was still helpful

I'm missing three, I need the one from the grey mourner, the one from the seer, but I can't figure out the last one I'm missing! I swear I've done every other task you listed.
AHHHHH!!! I had one left and had no idea. Then as you were doing Forgotten Crossroads, I remembered area 10 and the area that had the spiked cliff and I got over there earlier by ‘cheesing’ with the sword pogo before I got the mothwing cloak, lol. I forgot there was flooring you could destroy there (didn’t have desolate dive either at the time at the beginning of the game 😅 and I wasn’t buying or using markers at this stage of the game yet. As the enemy showed up in your video, I literally said “huh, so this is where that was” I had beaten Brooding Mawlek in Trial of the Fool and beat that trial just yesterday finally. And I got a pretty good memory and realized this HAD TO BE THE PLACE where the mask was and sure enough, ol Mawlek was there waiting for me and got obliterated by my pretty much endgame Knight with upgraded everything else but the final mask shard. I’ve done the flower quest, and pretty much everything else. At just slightly over 100 hours (on Steam Deck), I BELIEVE there’s nothing else but to beat the Hollow Knight back at the Black Egg. But I know that’s gonna be pretty much the end for me at least for now. I need to step away from this highly addictive game. 😢😆 Maybe I’ll come back and do more of those boss rushes where you get the medals one day. And just as I was typing this, I realized I only have 2311 essence so I could get that. Although I thought I beat all of the dream warriors and optional bosses on the map. Anyway I’m rambling. Thanks again, your videos are great just to see how you tackled things differently than I or others did.
No, I explain how to get 2 shards but do not actually get them myself. 1. Was from receiving essence 2. Is from delivering the white flower from the grey mourner. There are no other mask shards

The path I took was from the resting grounds to the infected crossroads to the city of tears to fungal waste to fog canyon all the way to the queens gardens
I have 110% file (now 111%) and I was really confused on what mask shard I am missing for 9 masks and was checking all the complex spots yet found nothing, well turns out that brooding mawlek had it lol
Kind of late but if you triggered the second phase of the game, the best route for me is through the Top portion of the forgotten crossroads into greenpath, down to Fog canyon, then if you go left into the Queen Garden, you can enter the graveyard without having to deal with all the speaks and maybe even less enemies. I just find it easier.
I manage to get the last mask shard shown before having dash, manis claws, double jump, or anything like that. I just used the piece of breakable background under the entrance to that platforming for the shard and with the right timing i got up there. You may call it cheating, I call it improvising
Thats the easy way. I guide the bug to the right of those 3 things to that place and bounce on it (its hard because its hard to controll the bugs movement and the things oneshot the bug)

4:56 Once you reach the "Forgotten Crossroad" it's easier to to go through the "Fog Canyon" (You only need "Isma's Tear" which allows to swim through acid)
For shard #7 at 2:06 You do not *need* to go through the door in fungal wastes to the core but you can go through the top of the mantis village for anyone having trouble finding that door/getting it open
For 15 I did this one super early by accident,and It was really hard doing it without the lantern,but you can just blindly jump over the fight and I managed to stumble my way to the shard lol

I was showing the forward way first so people could easily follow the path. Both ways work

I finally found my second to last mask shard thanks to this video! It was the 13th mask shard in the Royal Waterways! Gonna go deliver that flower now! Hopefully the extra bit of health will help me beat the 3rd pantheon! I've made it to Sly with only 8 masks and I'm hoping this last one will be the difference maker!!!

brooding mawlek will always be hard, that monstrosity of an enemy kept me from beating nailmasters for like 2 weeks, and i think i just suck at this game
Really nice video. I was missing #16 for some reason. Super nice that you showed map a couple of times per mask and explained well. Some videos just assume you know the entire world in your head and doesn’t even show the map even once. Great job.

I had 7 masks and I came back to get the rest after closing the game and I lost the mask so I was that’s ok I’ll just repeat everything and ended up not being able to get the mask shards back so now I’m gonna forever be down a mask

nice use of the red arrow to show routing, it is always a pain when you take a long break half way (months knowing silk is being obsessed over) and then come back to finish up missing one thing. invariably it can be look everywhere in sequence. the optional mawlek was what i missed. at 57+ hours and counting and approaching the full completion not really wanting to waste time.
nice job. (i have it on switch and ps4 but finishing with the console that has a dpad.) switch lite looks a good second console to play the quality 2d games tbf.
you just know silksong is going to be a time portal. going to buy that twice as well. what a great job they did and look to be doing.

I was deployed with the military when I made a lot of these videos. I would wake up at 5am to record in a USO, lounge type room until a bunch of other people showed up.
Sometimes I would keep recording even if people showed up.

Just go back over all of the locations. Shouldn’t take too long 🤷♂️. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be the first place you check

AHHHHH!!! I had one left and had no idea. Then as you were doing Forgotten Crossroads, I remembered area 10 and the area that had the spiked cliff and I got over there earlier by ‘cheesing’ with the sword pogo before I got the mothwing cloak, lol.
I forgot there was flooring you could destroy there (didn’t have desolate dive either at the time at the beginning of the game 😅 and I wasn’t buying or using markers at this stage of the game yet.
As the enemy showed up in your video, I literally said “huh, so this is where that was” I had beaten Brooding Mawlek in Trial of the Fool and beat that trial just yesterday finally. And I got a pretty good memory and realized this HAD TO BE THE PLACE where the mask was and sure enough, ol Mawlek was there waiting for me and got obliterated by my pretty much endgame Knight with upgraded everything else but the final mask shard.
I’ve done the flower quest, and pretty much everything else.
At just slightly over 100 hours (on Steam Deck), I BELIEVE there’s nothing else but to beat the Hollow Knight back at the Black Egg. But I know that’s gonna be pretty much the end for me at least for now. I need to step away from this highly addictive game. 😢😆
Maybe I’ll come back and do more of those boss rushes where you get the medals one day. And just as I was typing this, I realized I only have 2311 essence so I could get that. Although I thought I beat all of the dream warriors and optional bosses on the map. Anyway I’m rambling.

Even then it seems like you ended up with half of a full mask yourself. You think they added that ninth one in a recent update of sorts?
No, I explain how to get 2 shards but do not actually get them myself.
1. Was from receiving essence
2. Is from delivering the white flower from the grey mourner.
There are no other mask shards
Actually now that I think about it I believe I may have picked one up from the Grimm Troupe. So I’m guessing the final shard would have to be somewhere in the God Home.

The path I took was from the resting grounds to the infected crossroads to the city of tears to fungal waste to fog canyon all the way to the queens gardens

I have 110% file (now 111%) and I was really confused on what mask shard I am missing for 9 masks and was checking all the complex spots yet found nothing, well turns out that brooding mawlek had it lol

Kind of late but if you triggered the second phase of the game, the best route for me is through the Top portion of the forgotten crossroads into greenpath, down to Fog canyon, then if you go left into the Queen Garden, you can enter the graveyard without having to deal with all the speaks and maybe even less enemies. I just find it easier.

I manage to get the last mask shard shown before having dash, manis claws, double jump, or anything like that. I just used the piece of breakable background under the entrance to that platforming for the shard and with the right timing i got up there. You may call it cheating, I call it improvising

Thats the easy way. I guide the bug to the right of those 3 things to that place and bounce on it (its hard because its hard to controll the bugs movement and the things oneshot the bug)

Thank you I only had one shard left and didn’t know what one it was so I just followed this to check and ut was the Brooding Mawlek because I never found it before
4:56 Once you reach the "Forgotten Crossroad" it's easier to to go through the "Fog Canyon" (You only need "Isma's Tear" which allows to swim through acid)
For shard #7 at 2:06 You do not *need* to go through the door in fungal wastes to the core but you can go through the top of the mantis village for anyone having trouble finding that door/getting it open

For 15 I did this one super early by accident,and It was really hard doing it without the lantern,but you can just blindly jump over the fight and I managed to stumble my way to the shard lol

For the stone sanctuary you don’t need to defeat no eyes or have a lumifly lantern you just need mothwing cloak and mantis claw
