@@JettyYuki True, but the "creators will" thing sure saves Konami's ass and is in their best interest as they don't have to reward invested players, keep the money for themselves (despite Yu-Gi-Oh being insanely expensive, especially competitively, and Konami making more than enough money to reward players that top), and instead, just use this excuse as a cop out every time. Kinda disgusting of Konami, honestly.
I respect Kazuki Takahashi, but I'm sure it was impossible for him to foresee how big and expensive Yu-Gi-Oh would get, and when other popular TCGs have better prizing (like Magic and Pokemon) I'm not sure if he would still be opposed to cash prizing. That's not even taking into consideration NOWADAYS the immense uproar from the playerbase where even Konami had to recently ask a survey on what better prizing would players want, acknowledging how horrible the current prizes are in tournaments.
Kazuki Takahashi didn't run the competitive game or have any say in that, he had little input on card arts and minor stuff, but even his OCG cards like Magi Magi Magician girl and other cards were subject to Western censorship/localization against his will. So, if he became more aware of the current competitive Yu-Gi-Oh landscape, and how Konami is milking them and making the game easily accessible for OCG on top of poor prizing, he could very well change his mind.
Also, with the Nintendo deal, surely they can hand out the outdated Switch --- 2017, and March of that year, so it's closer to 2016, and worth less than a hundred lol --- alongside actual prizes of value, thus both satisfying their playerbase and their deal with Nintendo.

The secondary market affects card prices so badly. To be specific, you have yugitubers that encourage "investing" to make money, and as a result create artificial scarcity driving prices up. They even have discord groups to coordinate buyouts.

For the TCG, accessibility is leaned disproportionately towards those who can pay ridiculous prices.

Its become so “exclusive” and it was inclusive for the first half.

I don’t have 100 extra hours a week to study and look up info just to play for 5-8 hours once a week successfully.

$1200/year is still kind of crazy tbh, TCGs are just too damn expensive.
A couple years ago i got back into yugioh again along with my mom
We gave ourselves basically a budget of $100 each a month to slowly build ourselves relatively competitive decks, the cheaper ones that were possible at the time
    Staples were so expensive
But we were having some fun with it.
Around the time our decks were almost finished, we got hit by the next banlist and our decks dropped hard in viability. Given the choice to scramble and learn something new and drop more money on more cards to make up for what we lost... we just decided to stop playing Yugioh.

The main issue is that you get between 1/2 to 1/3 of the high rarity cards we do in the OCG. The OCG gives you between 4-6 Ultra Rares which is the equivalent of our 2 secret Rares. On top of getting 6-8 supers compared to our 4 ultra Rares. You can see this in the price of all OCG cards being roughly 50-60% less. The multiple rarities are absolutely part of it, but they will help treat the symptoms rather than cure the issue.

Dang, sorry to hear that prices (and the market as a whole) for YuGiOh has gotten this out of hand. I have never played the game competitively and have never had the desire to, but I have in the past dabbled and enjoyed it casually. I enjoyed the game on a casual level, but when it came to competitive play there were always other TCGs that I enjoyed more at that level.
Got into Flesh and Blood a few years ago (then had to take a two year hiatus to get finances in order), and I'm so glad I did! I love the game, and the creators genuinely seem to care about the playability and cost of playing the game. A lot of your suggestions for how YuGiOh could be made more affordable are already done by Legend Story Studios. Cash prizes for big events (significant ones), exclusive promo rarity versions of cards for Top 8 of said events (gold foils), multiple rarity printings of important cards in each box, etc.
If you haven't checked the game out yet I'd say it's worth giving a shot and seeing if you like it. I believe the game has already turned the Big 3 into the Big 4. Hey, a mass migration of MtG players a few years ago seemed to have caught Wizard's attention if even just a little bit, maybe the same thing could happen for YuGiOh if they notice themselves losing players to a game which does all the things you listed and at least tries to respect players' investment and preserve the affordable playability of the game.

The highest I ever saw the cards was when 5Ds came out. 5Ds had such a huge impact. It was 10 dollars a pack and any of those big special boxes were like 50 dollars or more I can only imagine how much a real deck cost around that time. then around 2014, is when the price dropped back down significantly, and then around like 2016 it started to go back up again, and I guess overall it's going up again? Fun... Pokemon is also at an all-time high rn I'd imagine it's been like that since 2020 I'm sure. The last time I bought a pack was in 2018 or 2019 for Pokemon same for Yugioh, too. I've only been buying singles.

I don't know why everyone has their panties in a twist over the cost of Yu-Gi-Oh suddenly. It hasn't just gotten expensive, it's been that way for like 15 years at this point. You must all be too young to remember DAD format. If anything the cost of a top deck has decreased when compared to box prices and general inflation.
The only thing that has changed thanks to power creep is the top decks have become much faster and more consistent, so rather than a game being a back and forth over several turns it now hinges on whether you drew the correct hand traps in your opening hand to interrupt your opponents long convoluted combo. I suspect what people are actually frustrated about is not that the cost of top decks is increasing (because objectively speaking it isn't), but that the amount of fun they are getting for that money is going down and so the juice is no longer worth the squeeze.

Because you mentions "players with ego" in the last part of "Prizing" section. The trouble, from my perspective, they're Konami TCG target for selling cards. They can spend unlimited money. And they're easy to control; kill the previous expensive META, then they will spend money again for new expensive META deck. Konami really handle this game like a P2W game.
    .
And this is why the competitive YGO looks boring (very monotone). They kill the diverse format pretty fast. But didn't even touch problematic "Tier 0 deck" until they have a replacement for another problematic deck. The competitive YGO just want to show "why you must buy this deck, even if it expensive".

Just saying, you can't print just a playset of a card without destroying the other cards in a sheet. Most likely they need to print 50+ copies and destroy 20+ copies that don't print out as well. Which again will make the cards value under $ 1,000 each due to print numbers. Also, why would they print only 30 copies of a staple card that can be worth $ 1,000 rather than include that special rarity in a set and make $ 10 million. Just doesn't make sense.
Konami could lower the YCS tournament fee and the amount of packs you get at the gate, essentially eating the rest of the cost to rent out the space. Other competitors already do this, so I see this as a reasonable change.

OCG is Asian Countries. TCG is European countries and Americas.
Also in the box that came with Bonfire and Snake Eye Poplar they printed those cards as Ultra Rare, and the cards weren't short printed either, and guess what? We still had $90 Bonfires, and $90 Poplars.
The vendors control the pricing, and the competitive players are the ones who keep the prices high. The problem really is that we need to sync our game with the OCG so that nobody can create prices based on what the meta in the OCG is. That would create a market where the price to buy in is low initially and then grows as people figure out the meta, and who knows we might have an era where the OCG and the TCG develop their meta much differently as well.
