The new coaster is confirmed to be the first Vekoma where they just took the classic Arrow-style track and trains, but hang them upside-down so you have to do a handstand while ride ops buckle you in.
I drove up there last weekend and noted the signage being worked on, thank you for filling in the gaps of info. Magic Mountain always has a place in my heart.
We were there yesterday, and it definitely was a bummer to have Tatsu and Goldrusher closed unexpectedly. They also were only running one train on X2, Full Throttle and Revolution. Definitely was very strange for a Saturday during the holiday season. Talked to a couple leads, and evidently the 2026 coaster is a Vekoma, for whatever that's worth 😂 Also talked to the crew at Ninja during a brief delay and they were talking about how they don't know what to do with all their employees since so many rides are down in their area. (Tatsu closed, Superman closed, Apocalypse closed, and just the rapids and Ninja open)
@a_cowwithlegs yeah combining that with their wording of it being a first in North America is very interesting..... It rules out a family boomerang, a family suspended coaster, and a family launch coaster (Big Bear Mountain) The thing that makes the most sense (that our friend brought up in a group chat) is a Vekoma Switchback family coaster like what's about to open at Dreamworld in Australia. Since it's so close to the family/kiddie ride section of the park and there are already so many thrill coasters at the park, that would make a ton of sense. The other options that aren't as likely, but also aren't out of the question would be things like a Thrill Coaster (like Lech Coaster), or a Suspended Thrill Coaster. The least likely, but I would love to have it happen, would be a launched flying coaster like F.L.Y. at Phantasialand. But with Tatsu being so close, that definitely doesn't seem very likely
While Kingda KA is closed from the new execs despite of that the improvements at magic magic shows the signs that cedar fair execs are putting progress on that park
considering the new superman movie coming out next year, maybe its just getting a fresh repaint before the summer. I dont think its been repainted since they first changed it.. Would be cool if they put the statue back on top too... They also have short staffing issues, so if they plan to paint it this winter, It makes sense why its already closed.
On one of the other channels they were saying that The Laughing Dragon is too dilapidated for refurbishment so it's up for demo, which is too bad. But these things do happen. It would certainly open up a lot of space on the Summit for any number of possibilities. We'll see what comes to pass. It's nice to see the park getting some freshening up. Hopefully Viper is next to get some TLC. I'm also wondering what is going in Scrambler's spot. It would be nice to see an updated version of the ride since that type is iconic to theme parks and carnivals. Again, we'll just wait and see. And i still vote to replace Dive Devil with a BigWaveZ. Perfect spot for one and we need more water rides and flat rides, so this would check both boxes.
Not too sure that is gonna happen, and it may be a good thing that it doesn't. Look what happened to Fox under Disney. WB already has great licensing contracts with Universal, and it keeps them on their toes. I also don't see Universal giving up rights to Marvel at IOA.
Hurricane harbor needs a huge upgrade in food and availability. Red eyes kitchen gets slammed , it’s the only major hub open , the other huts are barely open and provide little relief it’s insane to try to get food there at peak times
Six Flags Magic Mountain is likely building the new Axis Coaster while simultaneously: Transitioning to solar energy for cost and sustainability reasons. Repurposing Superman’s power supply to support the new ride. Upgrading their infrastructure to handle cutting-edge coaster technology. These overlapping projects are complex, but when completed, they’ll position Magic Mountain as a pioneering green park with a world-class ride lineup. If they pull this off, it’ll be worth the wait-and could set a new standard for theme park innovation.
My guess with Superman is maybe the new coaster might interfere with the ride operations. I remember when Full Throttle was under construction, they had Superman temporarily closed off (probably since the corkscrew is in fact on the entrance)
Did you find the six flags spirit jersey? They had a black one and it was Christmas themed. It was so cool!! When I went they said they had a limited amount but they were going to bring more.
I wish I can vlog like you at Disneyland id just be embarrassed to vlog but you know ow im gonna do it next week for Christmas Eve!!! cause I wanna be a vlogger
Great video.. I know how long it takes to edit these things lol I actually work there (at Six Flags) and usually at Justice League. If you ever are at the park come by and say hello. Take care and happy holidays to you and your family.
I Remember when they first got the solar panel structures they didn't have any markings/signs for your to know where you parked. Poor planning to not have the signs from the start. You would see people wandering the parking lot regularly b/c they forgot where they parked and there was no sign to reference.
I have a question for you. When I was there in August, Twisted Colossus had a wait time of almost two hours and they were running two trains on that ride. So what I want to know is how many trains do you think they would need to run at once in order to increase efficiency.
They would have to run 3 train ops to improve overall. I have seen them do three trains before on that coaster so I’m sure they can do it again. Same with Tatsu.
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land and Bashgarders in January and bringing a friend april January is my fiance's birthday
I got to experience Superman December 3rd the year before opened to oublic the following with annual pass preview week. My 3 friends and I got oasses at the same time so we all got out emails and postcard invitations in the snail mail as well. Wait wasn't more than 10 minutes. Showed up at opening and after an hour and 7 rides larer I've had ridsen enough of Superman for a lifetime lol.z As for that shop by Superman what if a new launch bay from there instead of down at the theater area?
The sky tower reopened in 2006 when Tatsu opened I went in it every year until 2011 and then in 2013 or 2014 the elevator got stuck and they have to manually lower it and it’s been closed ever since
I don’t know how some of those parks are surviving there’s never anyone there. Cedar point was our home park and it was packed for 100 days of summer and weekends in May and sept Oct. they made money.
The food quality definitely hasn’t improved. We only eat there because I still have the old 2019 dining pass and it’s 50% off once I’ve used my meals and snack for the day 🙁 the past few months the taste and quality have steadily dropped, we used to get burgers because they were pretty decent, now it’s more likely to have dry small sad patties. Chicken coupe used to be delicious then they switched the recipe for the sauce and the same thing the chicken has been dry. I feel so bad for people paying full price for food there, it’s not worth it. After my discount it’s cheaper than McDonald’s but I miss them having more options like sandwiches and salads
Supposedly a fire happened on the ride, every since then it has been closed. They also don't make those parts anymore, so they have to manually manufacture them

All of Samuri summit needs to go away. Get rid of the name, change to something else, change all colors because black amd red is ugly.
