    6:16 To determine direction of travel, look at the turns before the straight segment on the right of this image in comparison to the wider turns on the other end, which curve over the station. The tighter turns on the right tell me that the train is travelling slower in that area, and faster towards the larger turns in the left immediately after the straight-away. This segment shows the train is going traveling from the right end of the image to left.
    From the station in the center of the image, the ride will start going to the right into its first launch and continue around to the top of the image. The 2nd launch will be towards the station and over it. The drawn out turns to the left will be taken at higher speeds and indicate the fastest section of the layout. The long straight-away to the left of the station building will be the breaks and transfer tables, and the first launch will be directly after the station, on the right.

  • @TheRealConcertKing
    @TheRealConcertKing 16 дней назад +10

    I'm excited for a new type of ride coming to the park, this isn't anything I had considered but I'm glad to see MM getting a Vekoma. But more than a new coaster, that park needs a major operations overhaul. The dispatches are truly atrocious on a lot of rides, lines could move quickly on rides like West Coast Racers and Full Throttle, but those are some of the slowest lines in the park. WCR always seems to have a listed 90+ minute wait even with the line not filling up the station building. Tatsu never uses both sides of the station anymore, so the line just backs up. The staffing levels and training of staff are just poor. Food and beverage are atrocious and the prices they charge are beyond insane. I would gladly give up a new coaster for a better overall experience at the park. Also the queue line spaces are some of the least pleasant places to be in any park. Most of them are just switchbacks inside a cheap metal box. A lot of things that break just never get fixed, take a visit into the kids play area, or ride Justice League. My visit yesterday has really set me on a path of hating that park, I've only seen it go downhill in the last 20 years.

    • @notcool1079
      @notcool1079 16 дней назад +2

      I visited magic mountain 4 days ago and the conditions and operations there were astronomically better than it was a year ago :)

    • @TheRealConcertKing
      @TheRealConcertKing 16 дней назад

      @@notcool1079 There were some coasters with consistent 5+ minute dispatches this past Sunday. There were people in the park but it wasn't so crowded that Ninja should have had a 60 minute wait. I can only chalk that up to operational failures on some level. Also I counted 24 total empty seats on 3 consecutive trains on Twisted Colossus including one WITH TEN EMPTY SEATS, and I saw several trains on Wonder Woman with empty seats....that is unacceptable. Empty seats on trains, especially THAT many, mean people in line are waiting longer than they need to. If trains are going out only 1/2 to 3/4 loaded, that means the wait is 25-50% longer for no reason. But beyond the actual dispatching of trains, the park just isn't a nice place to be. Maybe a 30 minute line wouldn't feel like torture if there was better scenery, lighting, ventilation, etc. There is also absolutely nowhere comfortable to take a break in the park. The only seating are generic cheap picnic benches, some of which may be partially shaded and some not. I don't expect lounges with AC and couches, but how about some shaded seating with backs? Also food that is actually not awful and below $15.

    • @notcool1079
      @notcool1079 15 дней назад

      @@TheRealConcertKing maybe your visit was understaffed, because when I visited I rode almost everything multiple times and they were dispatching trains very quickly, out of the 4 times I rode twisted colossus 3/4 rides it dueled. The trains were also mostly full and had 2-3 operating trains on most rides. I do agree with how bad the conditions of the lines, seating, and the food pricing are.

    Good god there are so many people complaining about this coaster. The last three coasters to go to Magic Mountain were thrill coasters and the highest-quality family coaster is a nearly forty-year-old Arrow Suspended Coaster. Suck it up so the park can start attracting families and make some money so corporate will finally give the park a giga that otherwise never would have happened under the old Six Flags.

      @eliasmertens9313 CA will never get a giga because of earthquake BS regulations and all the other ultra left wing restrictions since superman was built. Also if you want family rides then go to Disneyland. Do you even go to sfmm? Because if you did you'd see busses of kids that are young who barely make the height requirement ridding the most intense rides. So family coasters are for wussy, weak, fat, scared parents who can't ride the big boy rides with their tall fourth grader. You want to talk about money. My family will not renew 2026 if this ride is weak. That's 5 prestige passes and 5 platinum flass passes gone.

    Dear lord, Magic Mountain loves their Launch Coasters....sigh. (assuming it is a launch) We really needed an airtime machine. Also, I have this weird feeling that the seat you are riding will some how allow the rider to somewhat control their specific seat to either sway/fully 360 around its track. I dunno but I dont think its going to be "tame" there is going to be some gimmick as we all know SF loves their "first evers." Excited to see what it turns out to look like.

      I'd Avoid using any part of the Mountain/Samurai Summit for a Giga.
      I'd rather see a SUPERMAN be transformed into a Proven Strata.
      What I've proposed wouldn't use up too much space and need a Average-sized footprint and using only 2 Newly Built Structers to host both a 200 foot Airtime Hill and 190 foot Top Gun Stall going directly through either a 400 foot TOP HAT, which would be built next to CraZanity but up the Hill moreso, and the Airtime Hill would also house the Top Gun Stall going right underneath the 200 foot Airtime Hill.
      I'd keep the Superman/Lex Tower which would serve as the main Spike.
      Superman would be completely Rebranded, New Tracks.
      3 New trains, 20 riders, 2 per row, much like TT2 Trains with same restraints. 1 train Metalic Red, Metalic Blue, Metalic Green.
      Track design would be the same as Falcons Flight in Saudi Arabia. The tracks would be Red & Grey. The Steel supports a Metalic Naval Blue color.
      Updated Launching system.
      It would reach speeds of up to 128, 120 & 100 mph at different sequences of the ride.
      Ride Colors: Red, Blue Green and I'd use grey in the ride design as well.
      It's Name: SUPERMAN Escape, the Odyssey.

    I mean with the merger it's hard for me to care about coasters added by the post-merger company headed by Richard Zimmerman and his streak of anti-transparency with ride removals. I'll certainly ride it for the credit, but it would be the understatement of the millenium to say I wouldn't be attatched to it like I am the other coasters. Even family coasters like Goldrusher, Ninja, and Revolution (Ninja and Revolution I'd say fill that "gap between Goldrusher and even a ride like West Coast Racers" you're talking about) I'm more attatched to than anything the merged company builds. That being said, if I try to look past my views about the company the ride could be interedting. The other day I was talking with one of my friends about potentially doing an Arrow suspended type swinging train that puts riders in flying position, this literally could be that.

    Six Flags shouldn't have put a prototype coaster at Magic Mountain, its too risky to put it at their best performing park.

      Couldn't disagree more. Have you seen how small and young the kids are that are riding the most intense rides? Clearly not. Family coasters are not for the kids. They're for weak, wussy, scared parents who can't ride X2 or Tatsu..., not for kids. If you want family rides, then go to Disneyland.
