i dunno chief, the way fallout 76 works, by adding these unique weapons they become wothless, they are easy to get from the events they are part of so no one wants them in trades or even to buy. If they made it so the events only have a 1% chance or something really low to get, then they would be cool, but as it is, they are given away too easily. Plus, any weapon that already existed with those same effects that used to be a god roll hard to get weapon is now also worthless since the event one is the same thing.
@@DanT-dh8lz Well, chief, once the event is no longer new and doesnt pop every hour these items will be very scarce. As it is the drop chance for the weapons is pretty low. Ive been doing double events every hour while playing and I only have 2 holy fires. It does devalue the older items, but thats sort of the point. Players need new things to work towards and creating something that is equally as powerful but just different is very hard to do, and the dev team on 76 is already pretty barebones. (weapons that have been useless since launch still havent gotten a rebalance). This is the same issue with the new power armors that have set bonuses (Union). They make any other set prior to them inferior. Nobody would play the Pitt if the rewards were worse than existing weapons and power armors.
@@smcfadden1992 thats your problem tho, for a normal player that doesnt hoard 1000 guns and armors there is plenty of space (assuming you have fallout 1st for the scrap). A better thing would be to remove the cap limit since its stupid, no one will sell any good weapon for caps since they are virtually useless for high end players, grolls are valued at hundreds of 1k caps which is impossible to buy unless you have multiple characters to store that amount of caps, and you also need to find someone willing to take it in multiple characters of their own. Besides that, bethesda needs to add some ways to use caps too, a way to give caps and get resources, scrip, treasure notes or other things, to incentivize high end players to actually use caps

You say that holy fires are hard to get, yet i got 3 of them in about 3 days of playing the game about 3-4 hours a day, thats way too easy to get, why would i ever need to buy one if all i need to do is wait for the event to drop and join it? even if in the future the event is rarer, they still need to have a very low chance to get considering how many people can participate in an event and get that weapon, and not everyone will need it. It is a special weapon, so it should feel special and hard to get. For example, when I was looking for a be railway rifle, i had 2 choices: use scrip and random roll one till i get a be version, which would take a long time (weeks, maybe months), or trade/buy one from a player. Eventually I found someone that sold me one for 1600 btats and 20k caps which took about a week to obtain (selling weapons for btats) but once i had everything i needed i got a be railway rifle (which is a really powerful rifle btw, kinda how legacies were). It was kinda quick to get, only about a week (granted i had my stash full of weapons so all i needed was trade them for btats) but it felt like an accomplishment to get the railway rifle since you dont just find one everywhere, and i certainly couldnt bank on an event to give me one.
PSA: having this weapon equiped with the ricochet perk active means hits reflected on the enemy count towards the healing effect of the weapon. You could stand in whitesprings with every robot shotting at you and never die, even at low health.
The holy fires blue flame makes it feel so unique to use, I never used any of the nozzles because of the dramatic range decrease. The vampire legendary effect can be useful to save on stim-packs.
Fun fact, it wasn't bethesdas idea, pts testers were complaining about how bad it was in the past cause it's primary effect wasn't vampires it was some useless effect and how the skin was cool but on a useless weapon, so not only did they turn holy fire into a God roll but they also let us reroll the event legendary so even if we like the skins on them but not the effects we can get some effects we do like

As a clothes whore, I really appreciate all the new gear. I've already got the complete Ouga and milkman outfit as well as the moomoo pack and wolf head and blue cowboy chaps outfit. The amount of clothing crafting plans I've been getting from these new events is really cool. Not to mention like 6 new weapons with unique skins and several new camp plans. Nice update😊
My endgame boss killer is a V/FFR Flamer. I have soloed Earle several times with it. It's really powerful even without running the max build. Holy Fire looks like it's even better!
Eviction Notice event - enemies seem to spawn and attack from the 4th side now, near fast travel spawn point. Had a hard time defending the spot and the scrubber, because others are used to "camping" other locations, ignoring that side completely.
Watching your videos has been helpful in an unexpected way. First time I went to Beast Of Burden the event glitched. I only knew what was wrong because I watched your video. The cultists with the bombs didn’t spawn so there was no way to open the doors. 😅

it is hands down the best flamer in the game even with just vampire it still melts bosses like crazy and it saves you from using stimpacks plus you can also rerol it for maybe a bloodied or gourmand or aristocrat so far i have only 1 holy fire though the moment i get a second one ill be using all my rerols on it until i get bloodied.
Almost as soon as I got Holy Fire, it became my main weapon of choice. My main build is a full health heavy weapons power armor build and for the longest time I have been running around with a vampire .50 cal as my primary and a vampire Gauss minigun for boss/tough enemy fights. With Holy Fire, fuel weights less than the 2mm EC, which means I can carry more without taking up as much weight, there is no spin up time, I can heal teammates with the friendly fire perk, it has higher damage rate than the .50 cal, and Fuel is also easier to come by/drops in higher quantities than 2mm and I really only need to make fuel when I don't do daily ops or go to the Pitt (I normally leave with more than I enter with compared to 2mm EC where I am constantly at a deficit since I it seems I only get rewarded like 5 rounds for every 20 I shoot) so I am not stuck saving it for the higher tier enemies like with the Gauss minigun.
I love the Holy Fire!!! I wasnt big on the flamers in the beginning but, when I gave the Holy Fire a chance, turns out, I always have it on me now!! Thank you for the education on this 😊

It’s been a while since I saw this, but I just realized, I used a flamer in the Pitt, and in stealth with vats I could often destroy enemies with a very brief burst using only one or two fuel, at a reasonable distance. I did that for a while, to build up fuel ammunition. Where it didn’t work so well was facing trogs at the end of the mission (it killed them, but obviously not nearly so efficiently, and friendly fire perk helped keep the humans alive). But my point is that the flamer can work really well in VATS, too.
This thing is so good, slap on friendly fire and i feel like a healer in any mmo during events and dops. Ive found myself almost wanting more healing perks because of how fun holy fire is alone just for damage.
Very pleased with the holy fire.It’s a good idea they let you reroll it and I’d love to see that on future event weapons.Since some event weapons have really cool unique skins but end up being complete garbage.
it would be good to test it on the bosses just to see comparison with ordinary flamer. I really did not notice sensible differences on the super mutants🤔
I have a Bloodied, Commando, vats, crit build and since i have the Holy Fire that weapon is a beast. Normally dont use flamers much then only the Enclave Plasma flamer rifle, now i use way more the Holy fire weapon specially in West Tek and those Super Mutants goes down FAST. So in my opinion that weapon is really great. Great video and keep up the good work!
Switch to bloodied heavy flamer build with healing perk, use this beast for all around content and a bloodied, vaporise one for boss melting, love it !
So here's short explanation: this flamer have permanent standard nozzle with why it has good range, but because hidden cursed effect, damage getting nearly close to compression nozzle only 4-5 damage points difference.
I really hope they give the other weapons like the one's we can get in eviction notice and the many others in Nuka world on tour the ability to Re Rolls Legendarys
IN the lore of this flamer, perhaps it was made out of necessity, and the flamingo paint job was an idea from a Florida survivor. In Fallout 76, we need a story line about a Survivor Naturalist & Reptile Researcher (like Angry Turtle) who seeks to understand, and protect wildlife in the new wastelands, and possibly starts a research facility and creature habitat enclosure. Of course creative pursuits in survival are great, but Fallout 76 should focus on rebuilding freedoms in USA. To help any Fallout game play, it can help to focus on original goals of setting, immersion of the lore, and creative ideas of the survivors, players, creatures, characters, and mysterious background enemies.
I've had three drop so far. Sold one for my standard 800 caps for all 3stars i sell. The person who bought it was happy. I'm keeping one stock legendary and rolling the other. We will see how it goes. My run on test world before spending a bunch of modules
Hey I cant get any information on philanthropist perk. Can you test it to see how much it gives, how big the range is, if I can use bonuses such as cola nut and slow metabolizer to make it stronger
It makes sense that it is hidden cursed, but also has increased durability to cancel the cursed effect. In this wy, if you reroll it, it effectively becomes cursed and durability goes down.
I knew nothing about this flamer till I got it as a drop yesterday. Funnily enough I was already thinking about making a flamer build and the default roll of Holy Flame is basically already what I wanted My poor chainsaw is going to get bored and dusty.

The Holy Fire was awesome in the PTS, and it surely doesn't disappoint in the main game! It really seems like it has better range than the regular flamer, but that might just be the blue flame, LOL! It's awesome in events requiring healing as well.
Quick question I rerolled my holy flamer and got anti armor bash damage and forgot the other one which are useless might aswell be 1 star so my question is if I reroll will I get anti armor again or you can only get anti armor once?
All heavy gunner perks,bloody mess,tenderizer,stabilized if in power armor,and adrenaline.max them all out and enjoy the fully optimized full health holy fire.
this weapon became my new main weapon even though i have almost all BIS heavy weapons with Bis legendary effects this weapon just has the best of both worlds it has good dmg ( not the best ofc.) plus it heals you and its a great weapon for trash mob farming since its aoe dmg and its great for bosses because of the high firerate and ticking dmg its just a great weapon for almost all situations.
It’s my go too weapon right now as it’s “frickin’ awesome” as our American friends would say. Love it as it is so easy to use & as for fuel the place is awash with it as it drops so much now.

I been using flamer since the beginning of this game I believe it was one or two months in I actually got an exploding flamer (God I miss that exploding flamer ) got this on my very first Beast of Burden I only wish we could change the skin.
Safe and sound... Ive gotten so many blue ridge branding iron.. one jaw knife... And beasts of burden has been the turtle skull... No holy fire yet sadly

@@michaeljohns951 I didn't test the damage, but after a post on Reddit I went in game, crafted a new one and these have less than 2/3 of the range of those crafted before the patch. These are unchanged. For now.
@@prodjlaneI tried out a freshly crafted gauss shotgun and it's very very bad, the damage is mediocre only slightly better than a pipe pistol and the range is even worse you have to be right in front of a super mutants face to even have a chance of hitting in vats. on the other hand if you have a legacy b50vhc gauss shotgun like I do it's still useful for killing trash mobs without using much ammo.

the storage of these weapons is a problem though went from 4 accounts 4 characters each and with the steam merge kinda ruined the idea of mules

It also does 54 fire damage after the blue fire dot ends and it's range is 20 meters over the normal flamers 16 meters

This is probably my new favorite weapon because unlike the gatling plasma the holy fire makes me FEEL powerful.

Just tested the bloodied flame build and it made it so much better in power armor
to remind anyone, its also a silenced weapon. so it will work in stealth. vats and stealth is different story though.

I put flamers down after they fixed the glitch to make the range usable. I might have to try this one out.

my universal build works with low and full health and with most weapons that's why it's universal

The worst thing about it is the nozzle and the fact we can't paint flamingo. To create the holy flamemingo.

I made a sneak with the holy fire as the main weapon and I just have to double tap the trigger for most enemies it's a beast weapon
Friendly but still Angry Turtle :D Do you know how to trigger the Beast of burden event for this weapon? or is it on a set timer? Have not seen this event pop up once.

I Already uses a regular vampire flame as my main weapon. This will shine in my hands.

I been using flamer since the beginning of this game I believe it was one or two months in I actually got an exploding flamer (God I miss that exploding flamer ) got this on my very first Beast of Burden I only wish we could change the skin.

all cursted weapons do more damage but breaks faster, the holy fire is a crusted weapon. damage explained.
Got this weapon at level 41 in a event. I'm now up to level 147... Once you get this weapon and buff your heavy guns perk. Hooray! You beat the game.

How is your holy fire 157 dmg because mine is lvl 50 aswell with the mods but only 79 dmg

got my hands on holy fire last night and i was impressed, seems to be close to my bloodied FFR flamer i was using
I g9t it on the first day, infact it was the first item I got. In three days I have burned through almost 15 k in fuel... love the gun

Good to see a useful weapon. Unfortunately this can't be said about the Gauss Shotgun. Craft a new one and compare the range. We've got a new class of legacies.
Interesting my full hp solar armor shotgun build seems to have gotten insanely strong with the AA guass

@@michaeljohns951 I didn't test the damage, but after a post on Reddit I went in game, crafted a new one and these have less than 2/3 of the range of those crafted before the patch. These are unchanged. For now.
@@prodjlaneI tried out a freshly crafted gauss shotgun and it's very very bad, the damage is mediocre only slightly better than a pipe pistol and the range is even worse you have to be right in front of a super mutants face to even have a chance of hitting in vats. on the other hand if you have a legacy b50vhc gauss shotgun like I do it's still useful for killing trash mobs without using much ammo.

How are you getting 157 base damage? I’m only getting 138
Out of curiosity, does swing speed actually work on the chainsaw and auto axe? Like the perk card and the legendary effect

@@Biggoboybales That's a good auto axe you got. The healing and damage will definitely benefit from the 40% swing speed.
Fast travelled to the event and AFKWP’d (Away From Keyboard While Pooping) and came back and saw I got the Holy Fire after the holy dump🤪🤣!

All I got so far after 10 events is the Ogua Gauntlet and the Cryptid Jawbone Knife

I hate that I scripped this weapon when it was my first drop. I didn't realize it was so good. I'm sure I'll get it again at some point.
I find it odd that they go through the trouble of making it so we can now see every detail about weapons and their hidden effects, then hide "cursed" from us. 🙄 I guess I am being assumptive that this was done on purpose and not accidently... 🤣
