xn0 it’s been in worse condition it’s much more cleaned up, there are worse quarters, like billstedt or wilhelmsburg. Reeperbahn can probably be comparable to st Georg or sternschanze, it’s definitely gentrified and cleaned up

Due to the influx of arabic and african "refugees" (on top ot the large turkish immigrant presence) parts of the city have become quite unstable and dangerous. This is important to know and sometimes walking through the Moenckebergstrasse can feel like you are in some middle-eastern failed state. Important detail.

I’ve been to literally every part in Hamburg and not once did I get an unsafe feeling being around a brown or black person. The Afghans literally just mind their own business, and the Africans as well. As for this drug issue, literally every country has it. You’ll have drug dealers everywhere. Also neo-nazis have a strong presence in Germany, ain’t a good one either 💀
