Winda is the one card to this day people want banned. Which is funny because it wasn't the card to get banned from the deck. It was construct. Even funnier because Fusion never got touched either
@@jtalkalot19 with how oppressive the game is and how decks like Snake Eye are still ruining the experience Winda is probably the least one to get banned, but knowing Konami they could do it out of nowhere
Well 2014 was a slower period so not allowing your opponent to special from the extra didnt matter when you had 8 disruptions that were considered staples at the time. Set and pass was still decent if anything prevented you from playing. Most decks didn't otk at the time. It's why maxx c took time to pick up steam.
Dragon rulers, chaos dragons and now dragon link as well as the fact that it synergizes with light and dark banishing effects such as bystials which can ultimately search any dragon and combined with the bystials can get two of any dragon. The card is definitely ban worthy but with dragon link taking so many hits it could probably go to one.
When Konami learned, "Wait, we can just say 'get your boss monster for free' on a Fusion spell?" and started their long history of favoring it over every other mechanic.
@@svenmanning and the game is uber broken since they keep being used as free material for syncrho and link or used as an extra free monster. We should have nerfed the other mechanics instead of breaking fusion.
One little mistake on the video, magical meltdown cannot stop ash blossom from negating shaddoll fusion. "The activation of cards and effects that include...." means the activation of cards and activation of effects, so can only protect from cards that negate activations, ash blossom negates effect, thus has no interaction with magical meltdown's effect on that regard.
Pisses me off that Gem-knights got overshadowed by Shaddolls due to BS card design, and then activately kill Gem-knights in both Duel Terminal and irl!
As much as I like the artwork of Gem-knights and their lore, they are pretty ass outside of their FTK, and the mere fact that their FTK exists at all(banned or otherwise) means that they likely won't get any meaningful support out of fear of unintentionally supporting said FTK.
As an Invoked Shaddoll player, i am glad gem knights pack got smoked by Konami and the lore to make the superior fusion deck that all fusion based strategies use to this day.
That was because Gem-Knights were designed during late Synchro to early Xyz era, where consistency of Fusions cards were all about being recurrable rather than what Shaddol Fusion eventually set the precedence to Fusion Spell design during Arc-V era.
Best fusion spell for the best deck
I got invoked shaddoll for my b day deck, and it's been doing well ever since. Even got it foiled out too.
I made a Shaddoll Dinosaur deck for my spouse since she liked the art for El Shaddoll Construct lol

@@dragonmaster951753 Maxx C had picked up steam by 2014. It had been a staple during Worlds format 2013
Shaddolls format was the peak of Yugioh. It was all downhill from there.
Could you cover eclipse wyvern. I'm curious to why the cards banned

@@kevinlee5753 Eclipse absolutely should not go to 1. That's a problem waiting to happen.

And as a result fusions actually relevant now and not hot unplayable garbage of yester years

@exec_rigveda8299 as a guy who's experience with using Fusion the old ways are garbage an unplayable with very specific materials.
That's how it has been in the earliest days with Magical Scientist and more importantly Cyber Stein.
It is pretty unusable original way
