I have watched every film about the Shroud of Turin. However, what is surprising is that the most recent media coverage avoids mentioning that it was the carbon dating result in 1988 that convinced the world that the shroud dated to the middles ages. Perhaps the reason for neglecting this is due to the embarrassment of academia and the scientific community because that this discovery had in fact had been debunked afterwards when it was discovered that the fragment they examined had been contaminated. This fragment came from the corner of the shroud and the carbon dating only revealed that the shroud had been handled by holding the corners while on display, so it was obvious that this part of the shroud would be contaminated. Another argument that athiests make is that although the shroud may be dated back to the time and place of Jesus, it does NOT necessarily mean that the image is in fact Jesus and could be anyone from that period and location. However, this too has been overwhelmingly debunked since there is strong evidence that the image was subjected to intense unnatural radiation. Even the sun could not cause a 3D image to be so accurately imprinted on cloth.

You are as much of an apologist as any catholic could be. I hope you realize the word catholic isn't in the Holy Bible, for good reason. There were many shrouds, pieces of the cross, and body parts of saints being displayed in catholic churches around Europe. This shroud manages to hang on as a relic. No "intense, unnatural radiation is involved".

It could be anyone from that period, you said? Who else in that period had a crown of thorns placed over their head when crucified? According to the most recent findings, there are blood stains around the head from something piercing the skin.

The shroud is more than a piece of cloth. The fact the God allowed this piece of cloth to survive 2000 years is a miracle in itself. If the shroud is really Jesus burial cloth, which I’m 100% sure, then it is the greatest historical artifact that has ever existed. The moment Jesus was resurrected and conquered death and our salvation.
Let’s not underestimate that God has allowed this to survive.

Shroud of Turin is a Medieval forgery.
      - The Bible contradicts the Shroud.
See John 19:39-40. A carefully wrapped body, packed with pounds of spices wouldn't look like the body seen on the Shroud.
      - The 3/1 herringbone twill weave is evidence that Shroud was not from 1st Century.
      - The bloodstains on the Shroud doesn't match a crucified person. A 2018 study demonstrates this.
      - The front and back images on the Shroud have different lengths, which is evidence that a real person wasn't wrapped in the Shroud.
      - The carbon dating was clear, the Shroud was from Medieval time, not 1st Century.
      - There are more recent research than STURP. (1978 vs 2018)
      - The pollen traces on the Shroud was deteriorated and contaminated.
      - Even the organization for
young earth creationists, 'Answers in genesis', concludes that the Shroud is not an authentic burial cloth of Jesus.

The man who was allowed to feel the wounds of our Risen Lord. He was not cancelled by Jesus, far from it. Thomas’s doubts and subsequent ‘proof’ give the rest of us hope that God’s understanding of our fragile humanity overrides our stumbling faith.

The Shroud was one of the main reasons I became a believer (I was a diehard skeptic at the time). I have studied it for over a decade and there is not a shred of evidence or proof that the image could have been made by humans, let alone in the Middle Ages. The 1988 C-14 results are not legitimate because the samples were taken from the wrong location (where the cloth had been repaired centuries later) and C-14 does not work credibly and accurately unless we know the original environmental conditions of the object (which ultimately renders C-14 redundant). All tests and results point to Jesus Christ. The Shroud is real and that should make anyone who understands what that means have their brain spinning.

Yeshua traveled to Egypt and India and learned how to do reiki and heal with his hands and hw to meditate. Wont say that in the Bible because you’ll notice the Bible does not show anything from the age of 13-33. The latest research found that the study done in 1988 that you’re referring to pulled threads from a patch on the shroud that was used for repairs after fire damage in the 12-1300s. This latest study dated other parts of the shroud that A) are roughly 2000 years old, and B) are only found in the Jerusalem region (certain soil compounds). The study also found that the bloodstains correspond to the Biblical descriptions of Jesus’ wounds. They also were able to identify the coins apparently placed on his eyes as seen in images of the shroud, with those coins being minted by Pontius Pilate himself. Last but not least, the study indicates that the photonegative image seen in the shroud had to have been produced by a substantial “flash” of light, almost burning the image into the shroud.
