18:09 Maybe programs like BenchSci might revolutionize this laborious way of working...? Great documentary by the way! Really gave me more insight. Thanks! And indeed, initial (and sufficient!) validation should come from the manufacturer. I think Biomedical Research will accelerate immensely in the near future, if everyone validates more thoroughly :)

Our goal is to showcase the validation that we put into each lot and batch. While platforms like BenchSci and CiteAb provide researchers with more confidence when making purchase decisions there will never be an adequate substitute for proper validation by the manufacturer. We support these platforms for the work they do, but they cannot account for all the tools that are not cited in publications, the gap between the publication date and when the research was conducted, and the lack of batch/lot information provided in the materials section. Therefore, the responsibility falls squarely on the manufacturer to have the proper QC/QA processes in place for all products in the catalog and the rigor to apply these processes to every batch and lot. The secret to success is hard work. Not a very well kept secret though.

@@biolegend I like the prospects and love the way Biolegend positions itself in this topic. Thank you for your reply!

Sorry, I was disappointed with this video. Wrong expectations, I guess. I hoped to see something that goes into the weeds, like effects of using one type of column or another for purification, manipulating Fc region, conjugation methods on the product's performance. Watching suits chat about antibodies was not it.
