I am discovering more and more how therapeutic it is to be out in nature with my camera. Each of your videos inspires me to look more closely at what is around me, which makes the experience even more magical. It's wet and grey where I am at the moment but I've just been transported to a frosty winter wonderland. Thank you Kim for all you have given your viewers throughout the year and I hope you have a very restful holiday season.
Hey Kim, I recently discovered your podcast, which in turn has led me to here. Lovely video and images. I am a photographer based in Hokkaido, Japan and love the kind of photography that only winter can offer. I’ve subscribed and look forward to exploring your other videos.
I enjoyed the video as usual Kim. Absolutely stunning image's of the frost and the ice. The icing on the cake was the little Robin. You must have been blown away. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Take care and i look forward to seeing your next video.
That little robin moment at the very end was magical! The ice is just amazing. Gotta be so cold though. Loved this video Kim - I'm watching it at just the right time.
Great video, Kim. Thank you for reminding me of the great level of detail that I tend to overlook when I am out hunting for birds and animals to photograph. I will have to get my macro out again. The Robin at the end of your video reminded of a Chickadee that landed on my telephoto lens, a few days ago, as I was photographing them. It was hopping around about 6 inches from my face.
Well done, Kim. A great video. It prompts me to head over to "my" nearby pond, Walney Pond, if it actually gets cold enough to freeze here! Even if not, it's still a spot to visit in the winter along with the trails up into the woods and see what they hold. Nicely done, thank you.
Hey Kim, Happy New year my friend. What a lovely video. Full of beautiful photos and I feel calmer just watching and I haven't even got the camera out yet. Thank you
Great video Kim. Here in Belgium we wait to have thees frozen moments to take pictures and take the time to rest and enjoy seeing nature in wintertime. Keep on the good work. Greetz, Alstamaris Photography 👍
Thanks for another great video and some amazing shots, lovely to see the winter scenes, wet and windy here in West Wales with the anemones outside my cottage just blooming, what! Have a great Christmas and may I wish you a happy and healthy new year. Terry
Wonderful video Kim !!!! You speak so eloquently, I just relax when I listen. I also love photographing abstracts in nature. Merry Christmas from Iroquois, SD USA.
By pure chance,I see an article in the NPhoto mag,so I thought I would check your video out,I was not dissapointed, one of the best ones I have seen,Pete,Norwich.

It was great to see this video pop up, sure looks cold and real frosty, your photo's and words are beautiful, thanks for sharing, stay well, have a blessed rest of the week.
Thanks for sharing with us Kim! I appreciate your mindfulness and photography. Really enjoying the abstract images! Say hello to your little Robin friend! Looking forward to next time!
This is so timely! I have just purchased a Canon 50mm f/2.5 compact macro lens. I will be out more all next week with the Christmas break from work. I am so looking forward to this. I was able to get out last evening and use it to photograph the Christmas lights and decorations around town. I hope that you and yours have a very Merry Christmas if you celebrate it... Thanks so much for the great video!
Its good to see another of your episodes. There's nothing like a good fester to recharge the batteries. BTW don't forget some mealworms or birdseed to keep your feathered friends happy around you. 😀
I've yet to find a pair that work well. I struggle with the cold and have to wear really big gloves. I find I can use them...just, with the camera but have to remove them to use the phone. I sometimes wear a thin merino pair under the think gloves so my hands aren't completely exposed when using the phone
Great video! As you read this winter, you might include some of Ted Kooser’s poetry. You might find this one: Winter Morning Walks, 100 Postcards to Jim Harrison, interesting. I apologize for his Americanized use of the English language.
Beautiful as usual
Magnificent images! Very inspirational. Thank you.
Really Beautiful Photographs , congratulations !👏 👏👏

Thank you Kelly ❤️
We don’t have much of a winter here in the desert. But in January it will freeze a few times.
Alguien dijo alguna vez que la fotografía macro es el yoga de la fotografía, me alegro de verte por aquí de nuevo.
Love this video ❤ one quick question, what gloves do you use that works well with camera and phone?? The images are spectacular!!

Thank you for the suggestion Andy
Could you please send me the info, on the workshop..

Your Robins are nicer looking than our American Robins. He was a fat little guy. 😅
