It has been dramatic watching you change in front of our eyes. At the end of the day, it is none of our business but curiosity gets the better of us so, thank you for sharing what you have been going through the past year and a half. It must’ve been scary to make the decision, but you are now living without diabetes, have improved health and are looking great, so congratulation on that fantastic achievement. So glad that you shared this. I had Bypass surgery on October 25th of this year. I too became heavier than normal as a teen. I've always had to work really hard and still always had the kind of body then was never smaller than a size 10. Covid was rough for me and I had to be on medication for my mental health. I gained 80lbs in 6 months. It was horrible because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and the extra weight made life very painful. I'm lucky that I qualified for the surgery and my bmi made the cost free(Canadian health care). I lost 17lbs so far and feel so far anyway that it was a good decision for me. So thankful my Rheumatologist suggested it. I started my journey in February of this year and it was a lot of meetings and tests but the staff is wonderful and so supportive. I'll be doing my first zoom group with other patients and the nutritionist on the 19th. I love that they provide not only medical support but peer support with others who are in the same stage as you are in the journey. I'm feeling really good about my health future. Sorry I wrote you an essay but thank you so much for sharing.

Wow! I am a brand new watcher so I had no idea about any of this! Good for you! Diabetes is a horrible disease. Don’t listen to anyone because you getting that under control is the most important thing. The thing that I noticed was that even at the end when you spoke of some of the downsides, armpits etc….You had this joy coming out of your voice that was very noticeable. Whatever you have done or changed has obviously been right for you because you give off feeling very good and joyful in this body. ☺️
I'm glad the surgery and your effort afterwords worked out well for you. As for whether you should post videos like this, I think you should. Your journey can be helpful to others that are looking at their options.
I just started watching you in the last few weeks.... i also watched a lot of your previous episodes, so i could tell you had made a change. Good for you! The fact that you had surgery or why you had it is nobody else's business. I have had people who are not close friends but, rather, are aquaintances, bring up the subject of bariatric surgery. My goal loss would be 120#, but i am a big chicken.... i have known some who have been very successful after surgery and a couple who have had very bad outcomes.
