Whoever did the mix on this deserves an award. Everyone could spin in place with their arms outstretched and not touch the fingertips of the musicians around them. One of the best songs from the new album, given the respect it deserves by some intensely talented composers and engineers. Top marks.

The album is magnificent. Full of wonderful soaring melodies, affecting meaningful lyrics, brilliant instrumentation and vocals. An early contender for album of the year. In short: “Bollocks to Mojo magazine!”

This album is magnificent.
I'm probably pretty old compared to most of this band's fans. However, if they had been around in the 70s, 80s or 90s, they wouldn't have been able to walk the street without being mobbed. They would have been selling out stadiums, been playing Live Aid and inducted into the R&R HoF years ago.

Just take all the music awards ever created by man to acknowledge your bands hard work , creativity and sound you deserve it all!
It's just layer after layer of beauty and greatness across both this song and the album. Dave has developed into both one of the great songwriters and frontmen of this generation, and that's taking nothing away from the frighteningly talented musicians in the rest of the band.

My Dad (the stepUP father who raised me) has been gone 7 years as of 3 days ago, the Ides of March. It still feels like yesterday. Indeed, it still feels like God has just died.
I miss him so much. But these songs help it not hurt so much; they remind me of how lucky and blessed I was to have him at all.
It's very difficult to adequately put into words just how unbelievable good this song is! The inclusion of the orchestra is a masterpiece! David Le'aupepe has an amazing vocal. My favourite GoY track. Wow, just blown away by this version - I've played it so many times - never gets old. Every song on this album oozes out with an emotional connection - you can really feel David's pain from losing his father and the celebration of his life and legacy. Full respect - bravo.
