- Boondocking in the Hiawatha National Forest in our Rockwood Geo Pro travel trailer - our first time dispersed camping!
Don't know what boondocking or dispersed camping is??? Watch this video to find out 🏕
First we cross the Mackinac Bridge from mainland Michigan into the Upper Peninsula. Then we visit Tahquamenon Falls (root beer float falls!) in the U.P. Then check out our next video when we stay on Lake Superior at Munising Tourist Park 😎

It's not government land. It's public land. Good video yall.
Tahquamenon is like phenomenon. Munising is like Mewnising but what’s important is that you had fun.
Don't worry about those animals, bigfoot scared them all outta there!
Your bikes are rocking a bunch. I'd check the rack very regularly. Beautiful video and comments. Thank you.
Love the new post … 🤣🤣 “maybe it’s sleeping”. Love getting to see some of places in MI. Whist ordered the 19FD - thanks again for letting us peak inside when we saw you in Delaware - keep rockin the videos
That’s so exciting! Congrats & welcome to the Geo Pro club!!! 🎉 Hopefully we’ll see you out there 😊
Awesome video! to be in the middle of no where is something I'm dying to try. wifey says samething your wife says. Lol scary but might be fun.. safe travels!
about 15 miles ffrom paradise, the edumund fitzgerald sank, on the canadain side of lake superior. nov. 11, 1975. gordon lightfoot wrote a song about it, called "the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald."
Yes what a fascinating and tragic story!
Munising Tourist Park was one of our favorite camp grounds in the UP. We tried to get the lot next to the small path to Lake Superior. I miss having the 30 foot motorhome but it was too expensive to drive and I sold it last fall. Sure was a fun time!
We really enjoy your videos - keep up the good work!!!
Thank you so much! 😃
Awesome video! Amazing views!
Absolutely & thanks for watching! 🤙🏼
I have Polaroids from the 60s visiting the falls as a young boy
That’s so cool!!
Great stuff! :)
Looks like fun. I camped in Michigan since the early 70’s when it wasn’t a 3ring circus. I’ll need to try dispersed camping before it gets so popular that it becomes illegal.
I was worried a bear would get her while she was out there holding the branch. I live in Michigan and I've been through that part of the UP traveling to Minnesota to visit my father. That was before I had my channel or my drone. Hopefully I will be able to go this summer.
Hey mike, have you had any issues with your pickup by any chance? I have a 2014 silverado ltz z71 with 73k miles. Its been so far so good with it
I like to spend time in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and so many places do not have cell phone service. Because of that I always carry a Garmin GPS because the satellites always work.
We absolutely love the UP! And we’ve invested in a gps since this video 😊
@@MikeAsh I'm looking forward to any new videos you may post in the future. It has been a month since the South Padre Island post.
Bike rack moves like crazy
Yeah it does. I don’t love the design, but it gets the job done.
Mun-sing 😂❤
What time of year was you there great video
Greenhorn.
"Bear bear bear bear..." LOL! My first disperse camping journeys I shared your fear, after years of doing what you do I've never encountered a bear. Curious, your post is August, but your clothes and tree leaves suggest spring... early May maybe?
You got it! This was about mid-may. We’re really behind on getting videos uploaded, but making progress.
@@MikeAsh It was a great video and I'm happy to see 'em when I see 'em. ;-) Thanks for posting!
The deer flies will eat you alive. The mosquitoes will eat what the deer Flies leave behind...
Tuh-quam-a-don
Mu-nah-sing
That helps. Thanks!
both incorrect
as a Michigander, I can tell that is a shit site. the U.P. has a lot of free camping on state and federal land. check with the locals.
For gods Sake, it is MUNISING! That is Mun - i - sing. Not MUN - Sing.
