I thought of maybe it might be “GO” since base on the sentence a “WORK” so work is technically a “routine and fact” about you, pls enlighten me explain this to me! Hi Edgar, thanks for the question. "I get to work by bus" and "I go to work by bus" are both in the simple present tense and both are correct. However, there is a slight difference in meaning. "I go to work" means I travel to work - while "I get to work" also means "travel" to work, but with an emphasis on "arrival" at work. Hope this makes it more clear. :)

And also it would be incorrect to ask, "What are you do?" because with a 'be' verb ("are") we need to use a verb + ing ("What are you doing?" -> "I'm eating breakfast now."). So "What do you do?" is the standard way to ask about someone's job. :)
