It's so hard to believe that Jani Lane ever opened for Bret Michaels. When people compare the two of them I just shake my head. I mean Unskinny Bop come on and comparing Every Rose Has Its Thorn to Heaven, I saw a Red or Sometimes She Cries just makes me shake my head. To me the only comparison is they were both very good-looking bleached blondes. When it comes to Talent absolutely nothing in common. Did I enjoy Poison in the day absolutely but when I first heard them live I was so shocked because they sounded nothing like they did in their videos where Jani was even better live. To be fair Brett is still able to get out and give a decent show and everybody seems to be having a good time. And as for Janie rest in peace power and perfection and I wish you had received your flowers when you were able to enjoy them. Always loved and forever missed.
I wonder what arenas Jani played in Canada. I'm from Vancouver and I know I would have been at that show. I'm a techno phobe but I sure wish there was beter quality footage of Jani available.
EXACTLY. the term glam metal started with bands like motley Crue, quiet riot, and twisted sister. All of which were actually metal at the time. It devolved into pop boy bands and lost the metal.
RIP Jani Lane

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this music, but it's really not considered heavy metal. That always bugged me.
