I also show how to pair remote to dish network receiver. I also include a idea how to run a 2nd TV for FREE (Provided You already have the necessary equipment!!) Many of you do... Without upsetting Dish Network. You can use the learning function to program remote to virtually any IR controlled device.

Hello! My remote is not connected the only thing that works about the remote is that it lowers the volume.

I just replaced 2 dish remotes today. I had to replace a dish 54.1 remote upstairs.” And I had to replace a dish 54.1 remote in the living room, I had to reprogram that remote to the soundbar and tv.” I didn’t have to reprogram my tv and surround sound system to my new dish 54.3 remote!!! My old dish 54.1 remote completely died in me, a few weeks ago.

is there a way to program a dish remote (version 52) to a TV without having a receiver anymore? I just found my old remote and could use it if possible
If it's a older remote, I do have some videos on programming those. If it's a hopper remote, I don't believe you can program it without the receiver.

My remote will only power on and off my tv. I can’t get any other buttons to engage at all. I can’t even get the menu button to work. I don’t think mine is programmable now.

I have the same problem
The problem is when you turn on the system it only powers the Sat and TV. You have to go extra steps to turn on your sound system by pressing the AUX button the the power button. You get that annoying banner that tells you that you aren’t in the “SAT” mode. Same when powering off. Wish the remote just cycled through all; SAT, TV then AUX. Any suggestions?
I know just what you're talking about. You want to put a macro into the remote to turn on/off multiple devices. As far as I know, this remote won't do that. I just looked at programming it on the Dish website and I didn't see anything about a feature like that. If you're using the remote in the same room as the dish receiver, you can get a different remote that can do that, like a Logitech or something like that for example. I wish I had a better answer for you, I could be wrong too..

What's the speaker connected to? There should be an audio output on the TV that gives sound no matter which input is used.

I have a Samsung TV and for some reason with DIsh Network my High Definition cable i can't hear those channels why

Thanks, unlike the instructions dish included with the 54.0 remote, was able to pair two (2) new remotes while waiting 1 hour 40 minutes for a Dish tech that I finally stopped the call all by using your video. I really was interested in your so call work around, but was not able to clearly see what icon you pushed to get to the screen to complete the deal. Maybe in future, you could re do that segment for us 83 years old to grasp it. Thanks again.

Just had Hopper installed. How do I record shows? Do I have to hook up my DVR to the receiver? And how do I do that?
HI, a little more detailed than I can describe here on how to hook that up. Record should be as easy as pressing the record button on the remote.. Then it'll be in your recorded list. I don't have dish anymore so Im not sure what the latest screens will look like.

I have a hopper dish receiver and i recently bought a new dish remote because it was broken but when it arrived and I tried to pair it didn't work what seems to be the problem???
That's a really vague question since I can't see what you're doing. I would start with the batteries and make sure they're good..

Make sure TV is selected.... you might have it programmed to a amplifier and you have aux selected or something like that
After system info how to you scroll to the right to hit unpair ?
If the remote is still paired, why can't u use the remote to scroll?
I unpaired the new remote from my tv to repair on a new tv by i don’t how. Because it won’t let me press any of the buttons.

Gotta do x2 house button > settings>remote>scroll down to tv> pick brand of tv> then test volume up button if it works cool but if not then> select another pairing code

The volume on my tv doesn't work, I can't hear anything. The tv is fine it's just the sound or whatever. I tried checking the audio box but it still doesn't work!
Does the volume work using the TVs original remote?
the only buttons that work on mine they are on-and-off and off volume up and down mute and that's it I tried hitting the SAT thing but that didn't work

HI, this is a teachable remote (I think). do you have the original remote to the TV? IF so, you can teach in the missing functions.. like power in your case you mentioned here.
You can pair both remote at the same time. 54.0 and 40.0 . You don’t need to unpair it for you to switch and use the other remote :)

Very difficult to say without being able to see what you've already done and your setup etc.. I've read some threads that say that it's possible. I don't have the dish equipment handy so I could try it myself.
Can you help on this please so for some reason the remote only has the volume buttons working on the TV and none of the other buttons work do you know what the problem is?

The remote address could be different. I don't remember how to check it but you can google how to set remote address on hopper remote.. I'm just guessing though. Also are you in the same room as the Hopper or using it in a remote room? Make sure you have the little antenna on the back of the hopper to receive RF signal from the remote.
