Moskau is the seventh song on Rammstein's album Reise, Reise. The Russian lines are sung by Viktoria Fersh (Виктория Ферш). When performing the song live, a reproduction of her lines would be used. Originally, the band attempted to get Russian girl group tATu to sing the song. Rammstein sent the song to his manager and officially asked if tATu would be willing to sing the Russian parts. After negotiating with the coach for three months, Rammstein chose Viktoria. The basic idea of the song has existed since the recording sessions for the Mutter album. A part of the lyrics was taken from the unreleased song Claudia. Originally, the song had a jungle beat, but the band couldn't find lyrics that fit and left it aside. They managed to give Reise, Reise, the Rammstein touch. The band's label suggested releasing the song as a single in 2005, however, Rammstein decided to release Keine Lust instead.
