Crochet a Cardigan Free pattern! The Peek-A-Boo Crop Cardigan is worked in one piece with a simple crochet mesh stitch pattern. I crocheted it so tight that the ladies medium will fit a 6 year old! Lololol. I’m definitely making it again with a much bigger hook! It turned out super cute! I’ll donate this one and make another one!

@@tracievans6037 I think it may still be too thin. I would suggest making a gauge swatch to see if you can meet the pattern gauge.

Thank you so much for all of your wonderful tutorials. You are so thorough that it makes it easy for me to follow along. Just finished this Peek A Book crop cardigan for my granddaughter and she loves it! I used Hobby Lobby Sugarwheel cotton in color called soft gardenia.
I absolutely love this shape cardigan it’s my favourite look for a cardigan. You’re so trendy with crochet designs and make it updated so it doesn’t look “old fashioned” which so many people think of when one mentions crochet clothes, but that’s so far from the truth nowadays. It’s not all hippie looks or granny square cardigans lol 🤭

I know you’re super busy but hopefully sometime in the future, I would love to see a lightweight solid stitch version of this shape cardigan to about hip length to wear with jeans etc for when its a cooler summer night. I just completed this sweater!! It is seriously such a good pattern. I RARELY complete a pattern as written. I always end up tweaking it and making tons of changes to make me like it. But this is so well designed. I think the only thing I did differently was I used smaller hook sizes and made a size larger than needed so it worked better with the yarn I wanted to use. It came out exactly as I wanted it! I will definitely be using more of your patterns! You are a true crochet artist ❤❤❤

I'm making this sweater for my granddaughter who will be 22 in May. She loves to wear crop tops and I thought this sweater would look great on her. I love this pattern and have used Bernat Softee Baby Cotton in the color Cotton. I couldn't find pure white yarn like you used. I am making the cuffs right now. I bought the buttons at Hobby Lobby and will be ready to start the ribbing of the front soon. I really like all of your patterns and plan to make the waffle cardigan next. Perfect over a summer dress. I like my sleeves to be 3/4 length so would adjust there as well.

it would be icing on the cake if i could get that same pattern but with the yarn filling in the gaps for the winter sweater that exact style and pattern.
I crochet it in white came small so I added on at sides & sleeves come nice now doing one in black a lot lager hook

Finished my first one but had to add some at siides as came to short 10:11 but looked nice in white now I’m doing a shorter on in glitter grey iv altered size & hook So hope this is ok if so il make plenty of them for my daughter thank you

I love this pattern although I’m having trouble with the banding (ribbing) on the opening. It seems to be pulling too tight. I’ve frogged a few times.
It’s where I join ribbing to the body , after the 10th sc of the rib you skip a stitch the slip stitch in next 2 stitches then go back into the rib. After doing a number of rows it pulls as if on the cuffs for a sleeve. Any help would be appreciated.

Beautiful pattern and fairly easy to follow along, however I got confused at the sleeves, where there appeared to be an error in row numbers
„At the end of row 9 of single crochet row make an increase” all good got that, row 10 is called increase row 2, you say you will make it twice so I should have row 14 as a linked double crochet followed by row 15 of single crochet, but in the text it says row 10 howw is that possible???

I did not get the pdf. I always follow videos. And i must have missed an increase on the first side. I only saw 2 and the way the increase was crotcheted over. this i find very confusing and i dont want to rip it out
Your video is misguided. In the first part you said the complete 16 rows and then afterwards after 9 rows to start the sleeve?
🤷♀. I am redoing the pattern with the sleeves separately because I already did 16 rows. I am completing the front panels by splitting the front in half and will complete 16 rows for two panels. I love the stitch and the yarn. Just thought you should be aware.
The pattern is 16 rows; it is 9" worth of length. There is a link in the description for the free pattern on my blog that you can follow along with so that there is no confusion. I say 16 rows at about 16:06 and I say 9" at about 16:35 in the video.
