Thanks for your video on this. Found out that the 2 drain holes on my sunroof are blocked by dirt causing the rain water to accumulate and leak thru the door sidings and flooding the passenger backseat flooring. Cleaned the drain holes thoroughly and problem solved after testing the sunroof with water hose for 10 minutes.
I realised the same problem today with my honda CRV. I have been trying to locate the leak for months. At first i thought it leaked through the windscreen somewhere. I was really frustrated when it rained but now at least i am relieved.
Thank you for the video. I have an Opel Tigra 2005, and I have water at the bottom of the driver's door, and the driver's side carpet is soaked. Didn't have this problem until my brother-in-law cleaned and realigned the windows gaskets :(. It's not raining from the roof for sure, I tested, so now I have to figure out where the water is coming from.
5:50 THIS is why we are VERY CAREFUL trying to use an air hose to unclog the drain. Too much, blows apart connections inside the body. Heavy weed whacker line works fairly well too!
Lol I enjoyed the bloopers in ur video. Yes so I have the same problm wit an 04 Acura TSX Imma bout to check it out after watching this video Nd hopefully that will be the problm. Water is coming in on the driver side on to the floor Nd into the back seat floor as well.
@@OzMechanics tomorrow morning I'm going to remove the wipers and perform the A-Frame test because that's where the water comes in from in a 2007 Dodge Caliber. After I watched your beautiful video, I think the water builds up in the wipers bay due to rubbles of leaves, goes into an A-Frame and finds its way through A-Frame holes all the way to underneath the carpet in the front left floorboard. I'll surely give you feedback and for other troubled readers tomorrow afternoon (South African time) after attempting a fix with your idea.
@@angelinegodlo7760 I removed the wipers from their motor, the wipers cowl and definitely found a lot of rubbles of leaves and mud in the wipers motor bay and blocked 🚫 water drains. Before all of that I removed the wheel and the mud guard. Behind the mud guard there's a flat like opening drain on the wheel well lining that drains water from wipers motor bay, via the inner side of the fender and out through the above said drain. Get a torch 🔦 and a long wire and poke out all the rubble out of the blocked 🚫 drain. I read on some websites that, the mud and leaves rubbles accumulating on the drain get so much that it can make an almost water tight blockage that makes a little dam allows water to sip into an A-frame through some vertical seal that looses effectiveness due to being immersed inside this little dam I talked about. Now, when the water sips into an A-frame it finds the polyurethane foam that's sprayed into the car metal body for sound proofing purposes. The water builds up in this foam packed frame to as high as a dashboard level or even higher for as long as the water static pressure is not high enough to break through down the foam and eventually escape into the cabin through the 4 foam-sealed holes around the hood release lever and also through the same hood release lever 4 mounting holes. So clean those drains as clean as possible with a wire and a pressurised jet water so the water doesn't get to form those little dams behind the fender.
@@imrozvlogs6313 yes,it's the back door behind the driver's seat, water cannot drain normally because if leaves and stuff inside the door that block the drain, door needs to be disassembled to remove extra dirt and stuff inside.
Hello good day sunshine 🌞 what I’ve seen before Is one someone got there windshield replaced and they didn’t get it properly positioned. Another one is the drain tube for the ac condensation. They can get clogged
Edu need to verify where exactly the leak is coming from. A test i do, is get a helper to spray the outside of the vehicle with a water hose while I look and see where the leak is coming from
Hey Oz mechanic bro can you please help me find the steps to change the timing chain on 09 Suzuki sx4 and I need to find the crankshaft sensor I have a code for camshaft sensor p0340 I changed and it didn't fix the problem so I will change the crankshaft sensor but can't find it please help bro
Why wouldn’t he just glue the tube in there when he put the tube back in place, instead of having the customer have to go somewhere and have it done and extra cost for labor for a problem that he could have fixed in 2 minutes….

Ooh, this sounds like something I need to look at for the Corsa I recently purchased. Thank you!
The panning up to the sunroof bit was great.....
I’ve seen those before. Good stuff!

Amazing video! Was never aware of these draining pipes. Very good workflow to find leakages :)
Great job! Hopefully this will be the fix for the passenger floor leak on my cx9!
My floor in back of passenger floor rain getting in I need a video for that!
Nice detective work Oz.
Great job Oz.

Amazing problem solving skills…
You can solve my problems anytime lol 😂
It is like a wet basement when water leaks in the passenger side area
Very good video! I wish all were so quick and informative. 👍🏻👍🏻🙂
I would have went ahead an glued it for tha customer if I would have gone through all that taking stuff apart lol great video
Yea we ended up putting silicone
Good diag Oz, se you on the next one.

Thank you sir. Your speech is very good, and you provided detail of it.
So if it still leaks the water inside yet I don't have a sunroof then it should be going in from the wipers tray into the A-Frame I guess.
Ive seen leaks from different areas. No the thing is what test are you going to perform to find where it’s coming from

I am legit having the same problem, now I'm here in the AMs trying to figure out where the leakage is coming from. This video is very helpful though 🤞

very cool, thank you!
Any reason why it would only wet the floor behind driver's seat?

My problem too 😮
I have this issue, and I’ve seen 2 videos that say it’s the sunroof. Problem is, I don’t have a sunroof. Where else can it be coming from?
Hello good day sunshine 🌞 what I’ve seen before Is one someone got there windshield replaced and they didn’t get it properly positioned. Another one is the drain tube for the ac condensation. They can get clogged
Should you replace the entire car carpet from coast to coast because of "mold"?
Could it be someone tried to blow out the tube from the top? Air pressure separated the tube
Might have. But I heard these are know for this
I always heard wetter is better. I guess not in this case. :-)
I have the same problem,do you have a shop in New York?
My pontiac g6 leaks when it rains but drains fine out of the sunroof and drains out of the fresh air intake good an seals are fine in kinda lost now
time for me to bring out the weed whacker cord and determine where my break is in my 2007 Toyota Matrix.
thanks
Cool video and diag😎

U get small boto that’s why gotta get big then do um
How come you did not glue into the drain pipe
Jason JJ Cruz I did in the end with silicon. I just wanted to verify with the customer is she wanted it replaced or patched up
Yeah my floor is soaked really really bad
Nice 👍
