That final toast directed towards the photo at the end was awesome. You can tell in his head he was saying, "That one was for you Sid!" Great character who I wish had more screentime.
Gareth Thomas is sadly no longer alive I have had the pleasure of meeting Gareth in real life at Blakes Seven events and he was awesome and very friendly
I absolutely love the VENOM in his voice when he says "I don't know what you are." Also Nick by the end deciding, sod it, and downing his drink is great.
"Do you know, I Don't suppose you even Fart in your Bath, DO Scase, do you?" Ahh I did Like Bulstrode... What a Legend haha! May Gareth Thomas find peace
These series aired in Netherlands as well. I still remember this scene. Scase must have been the most hated man in the London Fire Brigade ranks. Although Geoff Pearce had dibs on being in second place. Wonderful acting by the way.
one of the best tv programs was londons burning what a fantastic programe god I wished it would come back the rubbish that there putting on now itsnt worth the licences but who ever mad this it will carrier on defendant good one mate it gets better with age ? the program is as it was rear as it was to day .
Such a fantastic scene and I love Bulstrode's delivery. I only wish I knew whether it was scripted or improvised. The one problem I have with it is his use of "make a beehive look like a bunch of wandering hippies" and I keep trying to work out if this is drawn from Tate being a beekeeper, as well as the fact that Georgiadis said "Steer clear of the bees". I think if Tate wasn't beekeeping, the beehive metaphor wouldn't have been used. The result would then be that Bulstrode says something more original, with lesser (or greater, for that matter) effect.
Bees have very set routines and tasks that they perform, some born into tasks they'll do day in, day out. They're efficient and know what to do by instinct. He's basically saying that by Scase's standards, he'd claim they were disorderly and rowdy and report them for any bootstep gone wrong to the point no one would get a damn thing done for fear of breaking rules, he's that much of a jobsworth. Its just a rather on-point description for how even a well-oiled team that can do the work blindfolded would be torn apart by Scase' attitude and rule forcing, in a job where people die daily.
Used to think his name was Bullstroke lol regardless he was definitely old school but strict and said it how it was. Shame he didn’t tell Poison where to go
why scase got promoted to ADO and DO is beyond anyone's imagination. Wonder what it would be like if pitball ever got to that position. very good show and happy retirement. did you know that gareth thomas who played bulstrode was in blakes 7
People like Scase really do exist in real world Fire and Rescue Services, and yes, they often get promoted. I've just done my 30 years and seen his type all too often.
Brecconable It's more to do with the fact that the jobsworths get the job done more than someone who is too pally with the lower-ranks. But in saying that, no normal person likes a Skase at work.
Funnily enough the man who replaced Bulstrode was Baxter played by Roger Blake, a name that is shockingly close to the role played by Gareth Thomas on Blake’s 7
Ask Sidney Tate there, ask any one of those men in that picture, they were firefighters Scase, I don't know what you are, I think it's best I say nothing just now sir, will that be all, yes, that will be all, I mean, I wouldn't want to say something I might regret, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, off you go, DO Scase
The inevitable slap down of Scase but in one respect Scase has to be commended for not drinking alcohol on duty, especially being a fire fighter. Bulstrode orders Georgiadis to have a drink when he's on duty. Now reflect on how many fire fighters witness the horrific aftermath of road traffic accidents caused by drunk drivers.

God bless Bulstrode, glad he told scase what he thought of him
Love this scene, you could see Bulstrode was a decent man with integrity, and he and nick had respect for each other
Gareth Thomas is sadly no longer alive I have had the pleasure of meeting Gareth in real life at Blakes Seven events and he was awesome and very friendly
I bet . Awesome actor.
I absolutely love the VENOM in his voice when he says "I don't know what you are."

@Stefano Pavone I met Gareth at 7 conventions and I miss him greatly RIP Gareth you were awesome
One of my fave all time scenes
Nothing brought a smile to my face like seeing Scase getting a telling off.
Damn, I think _everyone_ hated him.
If I got a call about a fire at his house, I wouldn't answer it.
If only Sidney Tate had seen this!
scase got owned. , i love it
Also the venom in that hand wave as Bulstrode sends Scase off. XD
"Do you know, I Don't suppose you even Fart in your Bath, DO Scase, do you?"
Ahh I did Like Bulstrode... What a Legend haha! May Gareth Thomas find peace
Bless you Bulstrode/Thomas
Love that line, Nick trying not to laugh
Legand Hes a mate of mine😂😂😂
Love that line 😂😂😂
Gareth Thomas was an awesome supporting actor. Bulstrode was brilliant.
At 4:50 have a good retirement sir, you earned it. Yes he did
Brilliant scene with Bulstrode. Legend!
Even Nick cracked a smile!

Wonderful acting by the way.
Geoff wasn't as bad as Scase. At least he went in to fires and wreckages saving people unlike scase who didn't want to get he's suit dirty
He was a great ACO
God bless Bulstrode
the Stay Clear of the Bees was a nod from Nick to Why Bulstrode went of the way he did
Absolutely brilliant
Bullstroke commands respect

Bulstrode had alot of time for Tate and Nick. Gareth Thomas is sadly no longer with us, absolutely brilliant actor.
Used to think his name was Bullstroke lol regardless he was definitely old school but strict and said it how it was. Shame he didn’t tell Poison where to go

ToshiSan2 it wouldn't have something to do with cultural Marxism would it?

I knew the actor who played Bulstrode was a familiar face but didn't know what he had been in
Him and Sidney Tate we’re good
Best scene ever

Fucking amazing scene 😅🤣😅🤣😅
love giorgeardis great character scase can do 1
To be completely honest, I wouldn’t see Tate keep bees now after he was forced into retirement a few years ago for this time period
bestrode was awesome
Oh, Blake!
lol, Training school pictures a bit out, the oic sat there, not the recruits.
2:53 yes? lol
Scase was a fireman in Brookside too.. Framed for a crime and sent down I think
👍👍👍
Yeaaass?
Skaze was a prick Gareth Thomas Blake from Blake's Seven
3:31
1 person is DO Scase.
