The best I’ve seen .Thanks ..How about some of these tourist resorts show a little appreciation of your promotions .Don’t be stingy people give them some support.
I lived in remote Aboriginal communities for a long time and even waterholes that were known not to have salt water crocs were treated with caution. Usually one of the dogs went in first (someone threw a stick or whatever) and after the dog swam around for a while humans went it. Even though i always felt safe, I always made sure I was the last in (and I'm still here)!
Hi guys....saltie crocs have been found in Katherine Gorge and Litchfield National Park ...both fresh water environs! They are very prevalent along the far North Qld and Northern Territory coasts...makes it dicey knowing where to swim haha
Cool video. Felt like some of them croc feeders were getting a little too close! Parts of Australia have a ban on holding koalas. Which to an Aussie feels a bit like when they banned people climbing Uluru 😅
There has been a zoo with crocs at Hartleys Creek in one form or another since the mid '70s, perhaps even earlier. A great day out from Cairns & I am glad to see that it's still going strong.
If still in FNQ, and heading back, would be tempted to head west to avoid the wet. Do the Matilda Way i.e. Hughenden, Winton, Longreach, Barcaldine, Charleville then head east to Toowoomba and Brisbane. That route is significant, and will give you a different slice on the country. Porcupine gorge, dinosaurs, qantas, stockman's HOF, sunsets ...
G'day, I liked the time lapse along the road, You will find various places that sell exotic meats like Crocodile and Cammel. I tried Cammel once. It left a lump on the back of my throat.
Excellent & looked like the kids were having a blast. Hope you guys get a chance to ride the historic Kuranda train up the mountain & skyrail down next adventure
love ya vids guys , i live in darwin , 20 ks west of me is more crocs than you can poke a stick at lol , big buggers too lol , enjoy your trip ,may all your fishing trips end up up with a ton of BARRA
G’day Looks like yous had a good time up there at Hartley’s Creek😊 Good on ya’s. I haven’t been up there in years. It’s a shame they don’t allow anyone to hold the koalas anymore. When I was about 7 years old, I had a photo taken with one. I’ll never forget it! How’re yous finding the weather up there ? Thank you & enjoy yourselves 💕💕💕💕💕 Stephen 🇦🇺

"No, there are no crocodiles at Millaa Millaa Falls, but you should still be aware of crocodiles in the area and check for warning signs. Tropical North Queensland is known for crocodiles, and some areas can be prone to them." I got a 2nd opinion to make sure and it also said no crocs at Millaa Millaa falls. But I have seen reports that saltwater crocodiles can be found in freshwater. Biboohra and Lake Placid have salties. Avoid swimming. "In 2020, the Mareeba Shire Council commissioned two surveys of waterways on the Atherton Tablelands, in the Cairns hinterland, 400m above sea level and 65 kilometres from the coastline. More than 20 saltwater crocodiles were found living in the Lake Mitchell and Two Mile Creek waterways, in the Quaids Dam area near Mareeba. Crocodiles are not normally found in the area, but a total of seven have been removed from the area over the past few years, according to Mr Coulson."
Crocodiles can swim very much faster than a human can, but to escape from a crocodile, you don’t need to swim faster than a crocodile. You just need to be able to swim faster than your mate.
freshwater crocodiles and saltwater crocodiles are two different species. freshwater crocs only live in freshwater, they eat fish and aren't a threat to people unless you mess with them directly. saltwater crocodiles are called that because they have glands on their tongue to excrete excess salt allowing them to survive in fresh, brackish or saltwater and move between water of different salinity without cell failure. saltwater crocodiles can travel far out to sea and far inland you can't assume they aren't somewhere you also can't trust advice of random people. it's important that if you aren't sure the water has no salties that you don't swim there as they have been hunting humans for food for as long as humans have existed.
Yeah don't worry if you don't see a crocodile in your chosen swimming location. I am sure the crocs saw you, lol. Oh, a joke: What did the crocodile die from after he ate a backpacker? Answer: Yep, alcohol poisoning, lol.
Future Australian citizens for sure. Welcome to our country.
That would be cool! Thank you!

That would be really nice! If anyone knows anyone that may be able to help us out, please send them our way!

Please please do not swim anywhere unless it has been designated as SAFE. Those crocs will kill without hesitation. Safety FIRST

Yeah its crazy to think they are on a complete opposite cycle from the United States.
I'll pass on the crocs, but looked like a great day.
Great day!
Shallow coat line makes the dirty water.. don't be fooled though get out past that to the reef and can be the clearest water in the world 👍
Ok cool! Thank you!
Once you get up the coast you are behind the barrier reef and the surf is never strong enough to flush the mud away. Cyclones can flush it though.
Gotcha that makes sense!
Always wait for German tourist to swim first if they are okay in next 10mins then go in.
Yes, dont risk your dogs.
Lol thats funny!
You should know by now that your alligators are pretty docile compared to our crocs. You wouldn't get no where near the crocs as you do with gators
For sure! Not even close!

Yeah we asked about Millaa Millaa as well! Thats crazy about the crocs living so far from the coast!
Crocodiles can swim very much faster than a human can, but to escape from a crocodile, you don’t need to swim faster than a crocodile. You just need to be able to swim faster than your mate.
Lol isnt that the truth!
Salt water crocodile refers to an ability to live in sea salt water. It definitely doesn't mean they do.
That’s true! We now know that!
freshwater crocodiles and saltwater crocodiles are two different species.
freshwater crocs only live in freshwater, they eat fish and aren't a threat to people unless you mess with them directly.
saltwater crocodiles are called that because they have glands on their tongue to excrete excess salt allowing them to survive in fresh, brackish or saltwater and move between water of different salinity without cell failure.

All great information! Thank you!
No no no thats why l live in Victoria .l'm not going to be a crocodile snack😊
We hear that! lol
Yeah don't worry if you don't see a crocodile in your chosen swimming location. I am sure the crocs saw you, lol. Oh, a joke: What did the crocodile die from after he ate a backpacker? Answer: Yep, alcohol poisoning, lol.
Lol that’s funny!
The colour of the water can be a stunning blue but it all depends on currents etc. you guys just hit a bad day unfortunately
Yeah that makes sense! All good, just didnt expect it.
Gee I saw a man eating crocodile
It was a man eating crocodile, then a man, eating crocodile 😂
Thats for sure lol
Freshwater or 'freshies' don't pose much of a risk to us as they eat just fish, people actually swim with them with no problems unless provoked ok...
That’s good to know! We won’t mess with them!
Yeah let someone else swim to the water fall first.😂 Crocodile eats man .man eats crocodile. Works both ways.😮
Yeah no need to be first lol. Let someone else break the ice lol
You guys need to live here, America is not going to the best over the next 4 years😵💫😵💫🥴
We would love too
@@TheWickmansLife2024 DO IT
The coastal waters are usually murkier after a deluge of rainfall which transfers a lot of sediment down the river systems and out their mouths.
Yeah that makes sense and what we figured, that and maybe the wind.
