Huge Congratulations to Maister for finally beating Marss, when Marss was playing seriously in tournament with ZSS
That ledge trap by Maister in game 4 was insane, that immediate dash attack on the platform to catch Marss coming off the ledge was really smart

Maister is actually very consistent and only missed top 8 at summit placing top 5 at every other lead

Maister really had a good showing this tournament, he almost took it against leo, best Marrs and definitely would've taken it vs ESAM just from seeing him last tourney, he made it so far too the Mexican are definitely making it happen putting respect on their name

damn marss played very well and respected the shit outta maister. i mean you have to if you want to beat his g&w. he was so close to winning if it werent for the sd but damn did that really take all of his momentum away

Seeing all the past games where GnW wasn't good, it just warms my heart to now see him be a top tier threat to the point ppl complain about him and get butt hurt when he wins. Gnw you deserve it old man. And ofc thank you Maister for takin ma boy so high up the ladder! 😁
He's the reason I got this game in the first place. Ultimate just seems to be the game where so many characters are finally allowed to be good. Bowser, Pacman, ROB, just to name a few more.

Marss was getting combo’d right after spawning non stop this whole set. He would spawn in and within seconds Maister puts 40-50% on him. Maister figured Marss out he needs to get his shit together
That's just game & watch. It's impossible to avoid that 40-50% at the start of your stock unless the G&W messes up.

Marss forgot the fundamental rule of competitive Smash Ultimate. NEVER pop-off until you are 100% certain you won the set.

Maister practiced during coronavirus in tournament vs King Chris (kinda his ZSS demon during the online era), WebbJP and other ZSS players. And he improved during time and managed to master this MU. On the other hand Marss kinda slacked off. Hope he will catch up to Maister, but imo it's difficult since Maister has like one year of exp in this MU that Marss apparently doesn't have.

I kinda miss when Marss played reckless- rn he’s just lost more times than he’s happy about so it’s way more safe. After the nerfs he gets less reward for his risk, which I feel is where he succeeded before.

Nah zss has to play super lame against g&w this set showed how important getting a lead and controlling center stage is with patience

He can't be as reckless against G&W since he has an easy out of shield option, so Marss is forced to play at a distance since there's no point playing up close

@@lokks2130 but he, Marss, wasn't at kill percent. It was almost a full stock. Managed a decent lead and suddenly he lost it.

@@lokks2130 what exaggeration? It’s the look on his face that says it all. After those first 2 games it wasnt their skill that wins it was a mental game at that point. After he flew off the edge Mars ended up losing before he actually loss and he was getting read like a book. It’s not even a debate it’s evidently in front of you. How you would feel or how you think it played out doesn’t matter when the proof is there plain as day.
Edit: Btw, it obv didn’t matter if he was at like 102 because if you obviously watched they normally didnt die until 130+. Could’ve sworn in that last game Maister ending up living until 140 ish. So much for 102 being kill percent huh.

These commentators are acting like zss is playing against donkey kong. Marss is going against g&w the hardest character to combo especially the way masiter plays g&w which is spamming hitboxes. I hate watching g&w play not because of the players is just that character requires so much patience

Why do we use BF instead of FoD?
Because FoD has too many reflections on the water that it legitmately makes most players confused or distracted. Bf does not have that at all

You could take any event he's commentated at, his dialogue, and just record it and replay it for any other given event, he says the same stupid shit every time. I don't think he's ever said anything regarding any sort of technical knowledge for the game.
