I have always wanted this. A game where Ganon realizes that taking care of Link first boosts his chances of winning and Zelda steps up. And, it's not a remake. ITS AN ACTUAL NEW MAINLINE 2D ENTRY!!! I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN! It appears that this version of Link-Hero of Legend- which is one of my favorite versions of the hero, is having his story continued! I guess this takes place after Oracles???

I like how Zelda’s little stamina wheel when she was swimming was blue while Link’s has always been shown to be green. It matches with the colours that are associated with power, wisdom and courage. Link having green, Zelda having blue and Ganon having red.
I love how you can see the influence they took from BotW about free form solutions and how you can use them to overcome puzzles in 2D with different arrangements of echoes
Yesss my first thought watching the trailer is that they tried to apply the base concept behind breath of the wild to one of the handheld top down games. And it looks amazing!
tbh it's more the other way around, if even. BotW started as a 2D tech demo in Zelda 1 style, could be possible that both this game's concept and BotW's concept originated from that tech demo

look at the landmarks during the world reveal shot, the eastern palace is there and lake hylia is in the same position as alttp and albw, but its not the exact same map because the original version of alttp’s death mountain is there, but so is the volcanic version from oot and beyond
Funfact: They reused the entire A Link to the Past Map and remade it. You can literally see Zelda standing southern of Lake Hylia and the Rock Field next to Hyrule Castle leading to the Eastern Palace
@@hbthebattle5759 The same mountain is still there, but there's a brand new mountain as well in the northwest. The LTTP mountain, notably, was _not_ a volcano. It was a volcano in LBW, though. Now there's a new mountain in the north west which is a more classic Death Mountain. There's buildings up there so I think its explorable, too. Castle Town exists inside the castle walls instead of the courtyard, so this is the first time we've had a proper "Downfall Timeline" castle town. Its the same basic map of LTTP, but with some changes and expanded beyond the borders of the original map. Really cool to see LTTP's map get expanded. IMO, I think the northeast mountain will be Hebra now. In the original Japanese version of LTTP it was called Hebra.
I had this announcement ruined by learning about it after the Direct, so watching everyone's reaction videos brings happy tears to my eyes - thank you for uploading this :-)
A lot of the designs from Link's new sword and bow to some of the machinery that Zelda can create reminds me greatly of the Zonai weapons and contraptions we see in Totk.

After waiting for many years to play as Zelda, Nintendo has finally answered our prayers. The Link's Awakening art style looks gorgeous once again. I cannot wait for this game to release come September!
This is definitely getting a dungeon builder more in depth than Link’s Awakening. They’ll reveal it in the Fall because I feel that they did the same in 2019.

What I appreciate about Nintendo is that they prioritize game mechanics and enjoyment. In the past, I disliked their lack of emphasis on graphics, but now I am grateful for their approach. While they have their challenges, I genuinely love their games.

It's also the first Zelda game translated to Brazilian Portuguese! I'm so excited about that, Zelda is too text-heavy for people not fluent in other languages, that makes the series a lot more accessible!
