Thank you SO much. I have this exact model and the battery died. This video was perfect. Every step was shown exactly as needed. My CPU works perfectly now.
Thank you for this tutorial. I thought it's easy to change laptop battery, but decided to google my model and when I saw this video, I was glad I didn't just open the laptop and tried to figure it out. Step by step video was definetely neccessary, otherwise I would probably ruin my computer. Well, I successfully changed the battery, thank you!
I was thinking of buying a lenovo 310 but having watched how to change the battery I will not be buying one, so far the best I have seen for battery changing is a Dell 5000, the Dell 3000 [one of them] comes with a normal removable battery
This is a really stupid design to put a battery so deep inside. I wish I could see this video before I purchased the 310. I am so stupid. Why I didn't buy a removable one? Supposed all the laptop should have a removable battery.
Agreed. The design is bonkers. You shouldn't have to remove the whole backing panel, and the CD drive, and disconnect leads on the motherboard, and sacrifice chickens to Beelzebub (ok, I made that up), to get to a laptop battery. All other laptops I've had the battery is easy to slide out of the back, no screwdrivers required. This very much puts me off getting another Lenovo. Coming to you, Tosh...
They make it that way because they want you to buy a new one when the battery is dead. Same goes for other Models and phones. Almost all Switch to this shit.
I regret buying this laptop, mine is a lower tier model with an AMD A12. All I can say it's that't I will never blindly buy a Lenovo laptop without looking at some reviews first. The battery was pretty much dead out of the box and it did not last more than one hour and half (with some luck I could get it to 2 hours) which was abysmal since it meant that I was pretty much connected to the AC all the time. Piece of shit laptop.
Wow, thank you for this . At least now my curiosities to try and act like a pro dissecting my lenovo laptop are all diminished , I am glad I didn't try it carelessly. After seeing the inside of this laptop , I found it to be no need to disassemble my laptop more than necessary , just look at that circuit design ! , its too complex! with no extra caution , some wires might accidentally lose up and be cut , and the battery, yes the battery , just look at that thing. =_= . I really think it is better if the battery can be taken out deliberately(not built in) as this is essentially imperative for gaming and editing purposes which consumes a lot of electrical power.
Hi, friend. Your skills is amazing. I have the need to replace my keyboard. 'Cause you're so careful, could you show to us a video where you do all the proceedings to change the keyboard? Thanks and cheers from Brazil!
Totally STUPID design from Lenovo with these built-in battery models! I would have bought a 510 in a snap if it weren't for this idiotic built-in design only because some shitheads nowadays want laptops that are thinner by 3 millimeters.
true i just bought a new Lenovo this exact one in the vid and i wanna remove the battery cause i use the pc a lot and now i cant . no other opitions my battery is going down it wont even last for an hour after i few days
Any of you guys could tell me what's the runtime of the laptop with original battery. Unfortunately my ideapad 310-15ikb drains the battery in 2 hours. How is it possible? Is the original battery the problem? And if that's the case to change it with something more powerful?
I have the same issue, it seems as if the Lenovo cheap out on the batteries for this line up of laptops. Mine also lasts 2 to 1 hours with some luck. I'm planning on getting a new battery with supposedly a higher capacity if that doesn't help I'll let you know.
Thank you. I needed this video, today. Oh and a big FU to Lenovo. Whose bright idea was it to design the battery to being in the middle of the damn laptop? Could you imagine if car engines had to be removed to replace their batteries? There'd be people protesting in the streets.

if that's what's involved then I'll never be buying a Lenovo laptop. It's ridiculously complicated. Previously I've replaced batteries on other laptops which took 10 seconds. Press a couple of clips and slide out the old then just click in the new. Absurdly and unnecessarily involved process that only reflects a very poor design.

My next laptop I will research how to change the battery before I buy it for sure. This was kind of tricky.
Thank you so much ! You helped me to change the battery and I took the opportunity to clean everything include the fan.
Congratulation

Lenovo should be fined by millions for adding battery like this

Anyone knows how to replace the trackpad? Mine has suddenly stopped working
Same here and battery is not detected
So Lenovo are part of Apple? They should be with this ridiculously difficult to change battery!

No wonder the fucking battery heats up a lot. There are nothing to cool it down and was place literally at the worst spot possible.
The worst laptop ever made
