Thank you so much. I have to repair my Lenovo and this gave me so much confidence. My model is discontinued (no its not an antique, technology just changes every 3months now lol) and frankly its an excellent computer and I can't afford a new one. Upgrades are affordable with a good motherboard :D

I was having issues disassembling this model, I found the step I was missing (ribbon cables for keyboard and touchpad) before you got to it, but I realized it thanks to the close up on the memory compartment, thanks!

Much easier to teardown and replace the bottom cover than I thought, especially using this video.
Seems to be a weakness of this laptop, My mum dropped hers off the chair.

Super tuto, merci ! Par contre la reconnexion du clavier est compliquée, j'ai tenté une première fois et le stick s'était détaché. Là j'ai réussi à bien le rebrancher mais plus aucune touche du clavier ne correspond à sa lettre, du coup clavier inutilisable. Vous auriez une solution ?

If I broke the lower laptop part can it be fixed in any place? Is it expensive ? Does it have to be the original one?

if I want to remove the connection cable between motherboard and lateral 2 USB port I can just strip it from the case (hard drive under) or should I warm it first with a hairdryer or something.

most mobile chips are soldered to the board, so you cant just take the cpu. you could take the whole board out and use it somewhere else

Tenho notebook lenovo ideapad 310 15isk, para as pessoas que buscam informaçoes sobre este tipo de modelo, no caso de hj e sobre memoria, trago a seguinte informação, tinha 4gb que veio instalado internamente, resolvi comprar mas 8gb, entao comprei a memoria kingston KVR24S17S8/8, deu certo, so coloquei reconheceu e ainda nao fiz nada dual channel.

the wifi card on mine is a lenovo 01ax709. external video cards need high bandwidth connectors like thunderbolt which this laptop doesnt have, or do you mean something like a usb to hdmi adapter?

in mine, which is the 310-15-abr there only is the m.2 e-key slot for the wifi card. probably depends on the model though

It is probably inside of your dvd. Have you installed a caddy or something to adapt your dvd into a extra hd?

At 3:14 there are two wires black and gray one , the black one got disconnected by me , and it's not getting connected again , I am worried please help me , I tried running my laptop it's working fine , but please I want to know what does that black wire do or are there any risks using laptop
the black and gray wire are the wifi antennas, the connections on wifi cards are notoriously fragile. you could try holding it in place with tape or soldering it onto the contact

hi, i purchased a 4gb ram lenovo ideapad 310 3 years back, and i wanted to upgrade ram from 4gb to 8 gb, but to my surprise when i opened the back cover there was no ram in ram slot. in your video there is no ram in slot, what should i do please reply
a little late, but if anyone has the same question, here is the explanation: this ideapad and other 310-15s have 4gb of memory soldered to the mainboard and were available in either 4, 8, or 12 gb variants. if you have a 4gb variant you have the onboard memory only and no stick, 8gb had 4 onboard and a 4gb stick and 12gb has a 8gb stick. right now i have 12gb in my 310-15-abr and it works perfectly fine, but it of course has no full dual channel mode anymore, only flex mode, so if i use more than 8gb ram the performance worsens a little bit, this would not happen if you have 8gb

the processor on these laptops is soldered, you would have to switch the whole mainboard

Be CAREFUL when removing FLEX CABLE, it is composed of tiny wires. Make it sure you unlocked it first before pulling those wires...😊
yes... Absolutely ! It was useful. Anyway, why do you say nothing ? Even in your native language.. It will be bether than only "curva" in case you broke the seal :) Anyway, it will be good to take a more care about disconnecting NAP or another connector cables, because you are doing it a bit violently.. + static electric protector will be good too :)
