We decided this week we are moving to Florida! I'm a single mom with 4 kidsl I'm giving us an entire year Next March we are making our move! Im taking this whole year to sell everything. Save. Save Save. Research. Research. Research!
Great video y’all. Just got the job offer Friday taken a little pay cut just below 10%. But gets me there for my wife and 3 kids. We know where we want to be. Winter garden. Came up fast and we have the opportunity to leave within next 3 weeks a bit nervous super excited. Just want to be able to provide and take care of my family!! Let’s get it!
The information in this video is so important to me I watched it three times and saved it. You guys are really helping us when we move from Michigan to Florida🤩
I'm not moving to Florida until June 2025... But your videos are EXTREMELY helpful... I'm gonna watch every single one... I'm happily divorced & will be moving alone with no children because all of my children will be adults @ the time... 🥰
Thank you! We’re glad you find our videos helpful! And it’s good that you’re doing research now…that way you are completely prepared when it’s time to move!
As someone whose done it twice, I can tell you firshand this is a very well thought out plan for a successful move. I love that posterboard montage idea with the goals you can visualize. That is smart and helpful. Also, Florida is a huge state with, in some cases, a vast difference by region so I think it makes sense to visit the areas even a few times if possible prior to your move to make sure you thoroughly check it out. And research is key, these vlogs certainly go a long way in that regard. Keep up the great work guys and cheers from the other side:)
Great video. This was a big help in gaining more information about moving to Florida. Im really praying for this transition of a big change for a big move whenever we are physically mentally emotionally and financially able to. 🙏
Thank you so much for your insights I wrote all the steps down. I’m praying about this move. I won’t be moving for at least two years but I feel with this information it gives me a head start to preparing the move. I have family living in Florida which will be a big help in me knowing what to expect and where I could possibly find a home.
This is super helpful! Our family is planning on moving to FL within the next year or two. My husband grew up there and we have lots of family there as well. My husband’s retiring from the military shortly and we plan on staying here until we can get our house here sold and secure employment. Work here for another year or two, save and have a hefty down payment to put on a beautiful home in FL once we’re ready. Can’t wait to be living that FL life! We’ve been looking into the Tampa/ Spring Hill areas.....also Cape Coral or Ft. Myers because it’s closer to family. Thanks for the great tips! 👍🏼
great video - I think they nail you for 400$ for each car you bring in as well; great point on you have to live - so so many like florida for a year or two, party, etc - and then just disappear back up north...thanks again.
That one suggestion you both gave on what’s the best way to move to Florida . eaither U/hale or hire people. Mover company. Where not sure yet.we’re still talking about how we’re going to do our move next year.
2:50 I want to move out of my current house and directly into my Florida house because moving is a PITA! I don't want to move twice. But you guys sold your original house and rented (with seven people!) before coming to Florida? How difficult was that?
My. Wife told today she really wants to move is for me. . But she did say she’ll give it a try . Hopefully we can find a place with apartment and with pool .
I used to live in Tampa year’s ago. But this move would be my wife’s first her 50 years.so she’s pretty nervous.where looking at renting eaither apartment or a house with a pool . We so ready get away from our cold weather here in Pennsylvania.
Should be pretty easy not having kids or anything tied down to move to Florida . I use to live in fort myers , I live in Kentucky Now . Can’t wait to move back
I have moved to NC and Tampa years ago. So this move would be big for us from Pennsylvania and big for my wife because it would be her’s first move and away from family.
Did you find a place to rent before you moved there? We are in real pickle on how to deal with this situation. In a normal situation we would have flown to the area to look around rentals but with covid we are hesitant to do that. I got a great offer on Sarasota and my company has given me six months to wfh and then move. Would really like tips on how to plan for this?
Florida With Five thank you so much for your detailed reply. Do you think it is good idea to stay in a hotel couple of weeks and then search? We have a one year old and don’t want to fly around. Do you think we can get a rented property in couple of weeks?
My plans 2 easy step throw everything in my truck head south doing 95mph till ppl barely speak English if I run out of money I'll work the corner lmfao jk.
I’m debating between moving to either Montana or Florida. Florida would be the most popular choice and one I’m leaning more towards. But Montana is such a beautiful state but they have harsh winters but Florida gets hurricanes. Guess I just got to pick my poison I heard people move to Montana to get away from people since it’s just open land there.
Purging my basement is a showstopper lol - no basement - no move. But one more fundamental question is - how long Florida stays above the water levels keeping in mind the climate change - there are some scary predictions and should not be dismissed. You should not make an investment which will be flushed down the drain in any time soon.

It’s best to actually contact a moving company by six months ahead to get a good deal prior to moving

Idk having a basement or outside space you can use with NO SNOW ? HMMMM.......
Near Disney.
I can't believe I lived in Florida-- took it for granted. Now it's overpopulated

You forgot in the list to take the oath of poverty because you will be once you are in Florida.
Already in poverty lol
Florida sucks now. Too many people moving here
Much too much!
