Great song from an outstanding performer, sadly missed. Unlike other singers, she’s not afraid of using her Aussie accent when singing, and only our Chrissy would have the nerve to write a line like “I might kick her face in”👍. Bless her!!
She had so much emotion in her voice ,you could feel the emotions just by her vocal expression, very theatrical .she has the most unique & expressive voice.
Best line in musical lyrics ever.. IM LIABLE TO DO ANYTHING, I MIGHT KICK HER FACE IN.. True honesty.. Who hasn't felt like that about an ex's new man/women.. Its my all time favourite lyric.. She sang with so much passion.. RIP Chrissy..
Hey Nick As you may or may not know, Chrissie Amphlette widower husband has been the the drummer for Cold Chisel since 2011. Charley Drayton also part of the Divinyls, B52s amongst many others.
Great band and Chrissy a rock icon with an incredible unique voice. "Back to the Wall" is one of my favourite songs by Divinyls and on my list to request.
Shades of House of the Rising Sun through this song. That riff takes it to a whole other level. I discovered this song much later than I should have. No one can touch them. Ohhhhh... look what I just did there. lol
Australian Female Rock Icon ! Awesome Performer and Legendary Status To All Inspiring Female Rock Artist ! Flicked some Interviews So can get a grasp of Chrissy Amplett the Person ! 🗣✌& UNDERSTANDING 🤜🏼🤛🏾
I know you are a big Chisel fan. You might recognise the drummer in the Divinyls. He might just be the one and the same talented drummer, Charlie Drayton, in the contemporary Cold Chisel. And he might have been Chrissie's husband. She was a huge loss ... No band like Divinyls.
Your comment regarding the 'Tina' in her voice is more apt since Tina did the tribute song to Chrissy at the fire concert you reacted to.... Divinyls were a great band... their live sets were awesome.
Here is Divinlys on Arsenio Hall's show doing their USA hit 'I touch myself'. The late great Chrissie Amphlett passed away with MS in her early 50's. She was a trail blazer of Australian rock whose band was one of the most exciting live acts of the day. Mark McEntee is an exceptional guitar player with a unique style that just works so well. ruclips.net/video/1UUvDegDaNY/видео.html
It's a great song.the 80 s was the end of pub rock.. gentrification killed it.they now complain about the smell of bbq. Next they will complain there is nowhere to have a beer because the pub is gone..people are dumb and disrespect culture unless it's the one there doing this week ..love from Australia 🇦🇺.
I never connected the Tina Turner sound to Chrissy before. I would not be surprised if Chrissy was influenced by Tina. And I can imagine Tina doing a version of this.
Probably my favorite singer ever
Great song from an outstanding performer, sadly missed. Unlike other singers, she’s not afraid of using her Aussie accent when singing, and only our Chrissy would have the nerve to write a line like “I might kick her face in”👍. Bless her!!
I lurve this song - the lyrics are brilliant, the guitar work is perfect and Chrissie's delivery just smokes 🔥❤️🔥
She had so much emotion in her voice ,you could feel the emotions just by her vocal expression, very theatrical .she has the most unique & expressive voice.
The most charismatic female singer of all time. Also extremely intelligent. Massively underrated. Thanks for the review of Elsie you did for me 👍
One of our best rock chicks, taken too soon. RIP Chrissie.
One of Australia's greatest ever lead singers male or female. PERIOD.
If there's a Queen of Australian rock, it is Christine Amphlett.
You will always have Aussie ❤️ when you react to Chrissy, no one else like her, such an original & so missed. RIP
Legendary Aussie female singer! Truly 1 of a kind.
She had so much emotion in her voice! Miss her ! Rip 😥
Chrissie was most definitely 1 of a kind..The Divinyls were legendary for live performances too. She is sadly missed.
One of my favourite Divinyl songs. I had the privilege to see her perform this live was amazing and yes very much tinaturneresque 👍
Chrissy, was one of the best Australian rock singers we ever produced. Check out, I Touch Myself. Nuanced Chrissy. R.I.P.
The GOAT female rock singer in history
I can say I am so lucky to see her and the band play back in the day
Pleasure and pain. And I touch myself. Are two awesome songs that show off her vocals too.
Best line in musical lyrics ever..
IM LIABLE TO DO ANYTHING, I MIGHT KICK HER FACE IN..

I love your reactions because you notice & appreciate the types of voice that I do…& the way they sing, those inflections & so on.
Great band and Chrissy a rock icon with an incredible unique voice. "Back to the Wall" is one of my favourite songs by Divinyls and on my list to request.

I used to enjoy Hey, Hey It's Saturday. Great show in the 80s especially.
She was so good in concert. 👏👏👏 RIP beautiful Chrissy ❤
Chrissy Such an absolute legend loved that you loved this great reaction thanks ❤
Chrissy - woooow
To get this much passion out of a performance in front of no-one (audience wise) is brilliant - love you forever.
RIP lovely Chrissy, a tortured soul and yet such a beautiful one.
All the boys in town!!!
I'm telling ya!
Shades of House of the Rising Sun through this song. That riff takes it to a whole other level. I discovered this song much later than I should have. No one can touch them. Ohhhhh... look what I just did there. lol

Love Chrissy, was a shock when she left us.
I never noticed it before that she sounds a bit like Tina, but now you mention it I notice it now. Great band and I love her voice.
I miss Chrissy. I loved her. Such a great loss.
Very unique voice, which she used very well…
Surprised noone has requested I touch myself giving it's their biggest hit.
Loved that 👌😎
She was amazing. Check out to Back To The Wall
Nice of you to say that Tina sounds like Chrissy. Love your shit Nic, keep it up.
I know you are a big Chisel fan.

You cannot beat a Chrissy pout fest. I miss her still.
Hmmm me thinks that's "Hey Hey its Saturday" 'Live". Regardless, she was incredible and sadly missed. RIP Chrissy Amphlett.
Divinyls (not The Divinyls), and only 2 “heys” in Hey Hey It’s Saturday.
👌
Excellent video though.
Chrissy was the bomb.
🖤
Picky!!
I bet you've heard another one of theirs, I touch myself,
