I love this episode solely for the fact that Iroh delves deeper into the philosophies of each bending styles as well as each nation, that one scene was just beautiful and adds so much to the show 😊
It's such a good episode
10:33 I find this so funny because everyone here expects Aang, a 12 year old, to be ready to be the Avatar with no resistance, absolutely no wavering in his path to become something he's not ready for but has to accept in order to save the world
But when he's this scared and vulnerable 12 year old, there's shock and surprise as if anyone here could stop a boulder with their eyes closed
So trueee, like it was just he's first try lol

23:04 Oh wow, it seems like Katara's input on Aang's training helped Aang in the long run, maybe this will stop the YaboyRoshi crew from getting on her ass about her little rivalry with Toph (speaking of, I just realized that we've now seen how Air and Water, Fire and Earth interact so well and there's been conlflict between Earth, Water, and Air in terms of personality and mindsets)

Happy sack jumps in his sleeping bag away from the not only the two characters making the most noise but also the one who launched him into the air with a pointy rock, like, I'm sure you'd want to communicate your anger in such a way against these characters with minimum effort exactly like that if you could

2:21 Is it better or worse to laugh at the comic relief situations of a kid's cartoon because of how other characters commonly interact with the comic relief character, resulting in comic relief situations or is it better to ignore that concept overall and be angry everytime said comic relief character gets hurt/annoyed/can barely do anything to stop the other characters from doing all of the above?
(Idk if this makes sense, but it mostly does to me)
I'd say both because it still labels Sokka as a comic relief character so he can develop throughout the show and start being less of comic relief (still isn't a flaw, he just literally can't defend himself as of right now)

I mean, it's pretty common that if you grow up in a community of people that think and act in a specific way that you'll become like those people, but if you specifically grow up just to not fit the mold, I'm sure they'd still accept you, you just wouldn't be able to communicate on the same level as them
Like, being a rebel is more of an Earth or Firebending type of emotion, even if you would be a teenager it would still still conflict from how Airbending is, once again, as a culture

4:15 (Bottom left) What a reactor moment, turning to look away for a second to communicate an assumption of character action to your reactor partner and not seeing that your assumption was wrong, resulting in you needing to be caught up be said other reactor and reacting to that instead of the actual show
I'm not saying looking away from the show should NEVER be done, but that there are so many moments in cartoons, anime, even games where something happens or can happen within a split second and it'd be much better if you'd pay attention rather than risk not even seeing it at all (this also relates to how she'll most likely never see this episode again, even for only that moment which would still contribute to my point that reactors watch a show once and then forget what happens in said show a week later when they react to the next episode and that when that happens it's more valid to say that they're just profiting off of the reaction rather than recording themselves watch said show... or something like that)
oh no she missed iroh throwing tea out the window… why are u over analyzing every aspect of the video in this comment section? 😭 i’d understand if she missed something crucial or if she had a habit of talking over the show, but that wasn’t the case at all. just watch the video
@@lxlxxl6217 Because it's those small moments that entirely make up authenticity of reactions, if you see her fake laugh to make up for herself missing the joke rather than if she caught herself in the middle of saying that Iroh would've drank the tea and then he threw it out, that would've been so much funnier to see
Also, literally every single person in this video talks over the episode but ok, like, I'm a sadistic autist who only got into watching these reaction videos because my autistic brain thought they were good but now that I can actually form opinions on them, I'm no longer enjoying them like I used to, reactors make claims that if they were these characters they would do so much better when they realistically wouldn't and that the only way the story would progress how it does is if the characters are as they are, not to have someone who thinks they are more thoughtful than the intended character in replace of them
Also, I'm glad you're worried about my sense of looking at media that can be commented on and commenting on it as if I'm a misanthropist (someone who hates everything) but I'm really not, I would say I have a vision for what a perfect reactor should be in my eyes and I understand that that vision will never be a reality, that still shouldn't discourage me from wanting said reality to be one that exists or even to want to give these creators something to work on, but I do it here because I think reactions should be more like a tool to get people attracted to your personality and what you like and not something to build a monopoly out of
To end off, these creators have it W A Y too easy, and I think that if they get money just by watching shows, effort should be put into it, like Blindwave near the middle where they write down events that are happening, that is SO SO SO much more than anyone in this video would EVER do just because they're so lazy and, once again, this is such a free market to exploit
5:10 A reactor trying to make an overall statement about a specific topic of a show? Less often than you think
But anyways, I get what she's trying to say but it could still be mistaken as her saying Toph using her Earthbending isn't creative, of which, it is imo, she just literally can't put the correct words together to make a statement that gets her exact message across (maybe if they saw the episode off screen and wrote down notes about their thoughts and made a review about it, including this thought that could be made in the reactor's best light, I could agree about the point that was being made)
