    This cue extension, in my opinion, is just NOT worth it. It would better to spend the extra bucks and get one that screws into the butt of your cue. Thanks for watching everyone and all the support!

    Cuetec has the best, their Duo Smart Extension. It's 2 extensions in one, so you get either 3 inch, 6 inch, or 9 inch

      Is it only for Cuetec cues? I have a custom one for my main cue and a universal X10R for my other cues. The only issue with the X10R is it's bulky to carry to the poolhall. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

    I forgot to mention that when I ordered my cue that I wanted an 8 and 4 inch extension. Brandon advised me that an 8 and 4 inch extension might upset the balance of my cue. So he recommended a6 and 4 inch extension to maintain the balance. This is another reason to order these extensions from the company who made your cue.

    I happen to buy a quick release 8 inch extension for my graphite snooker cue. Low and behold it fits my Predator sneaky Pete. I like it alot

    Another honest review. I have matched custom Jacoby cues. I have both extensions. They also match my cue because I ordered them with my sticks and I'm glad that I did. I can make my cue 6 inches longer with the butt extension and if I add the shaft extension it is 10 inches longer. Using both has been a rare occasion. I can reach most shots with just the butt extension. But there have been occasions where I needed both and still had to use my kamui clear vue bridge. So in summary...... Guys, buy an extension for your cue from the company who made your cue. Thanks for another great video.

    I have an extension which is similar to this, albeit it isn't telescopic and is made by a company called baize master. It was a fairly inexpensive purchase (£20/$25) and attaches to the cue exactly the same as the one in the video (imo, a fairly quick and easy process).
    A few weeks ago a friend of mine was looking to purchase an extension and as he has tried and likes mine decided to purchase a similar model off ebay. I had a look at it last weekend and I noticed something which differed from mine. Externally both look similar, but the inside collar on my extension has some sort of green material lining, whereas his is just the bare metal/plastic. I can't see the inside of the extension demonstrated in the video but if it also lacks the lining that could perhaps explain the scratches you mention, as I have been using mine for well over a year now and the butt of my cue is completely scratch free.
    I fully agree with you that a screw in extension is the better option and In the long-term I will probably upgrade to that type. But for the time being my universal extension will do and it has served me well up to now. It's definitely not been a bad purchase for the price i paid, and with the model which has the protective lining there is no need to stress about scratching the cue butt.

      Thanks for the comment. Yes, the contact points with the cue are plastic. It's nice to know that there's a version out there with a soft lining. Since this video, I came across the X10R which is similar in footprint (a bit smaller) that does a fantastic job. It has a soft lining and slides on snugly without any twisting to tighten the grip on the cue. Check out the video of my review, the description has the links to their website.

    Great video and review. There is a company that makes a cue extension for meucci and BMC cues as well, not sure of the company though. I've been looking at getting an extension for my McDermott but is there a shorter version other than 11 inch that offer?

    • @PoolAddiction
      @PoolAddiction  4 года назад

      I didn't realize that Mcdermott only made an 11 inch butt extension, that's way too long in my opinion. The longest I would ever go with is 6 inches personally. I did some quick searching and can't find anyone that makes a smaller Mcdermott extension. The only option I found was their 4 inch joint extension but I am sure you knew about that one already. I am going to eventually review a joint extension but I find hard to believe it's something I would use regularly. All the butt extensions are is a butt cap that has threads for an extension. I know manufacturer's use different types of butt caps but I wonder if you can modify a cue to accept say a Predator butt cap extension system. I might have to look into it sometime.

    I give the Universal Cue Extension an 8 or 9 out of 10. Does what it was designed to do... help me get out of a jam. Anything should or could be useful when the only other option is to use a bridge or an extension. My advice would simply be to first watch where you're leaving the cue ball.

      Thanks for the comment. In my experience, this product is difficult to use and can damage your cue’s finish. It also is a pain to carry in your case because of its size. It does do the job but you can do much better with an extension that is designed to be used with your cue. Of course though, not all companies make extensions for their cues but if they do it’s better to use their extension (in my opinion). Also, the video was a comical representation of using the extension and I was over exaggerating the use of it. Thanks again for the comment, it’s nice to hear other players experiences with the product to show that the product may not be as bad as what I might think about it. Thanks for watching!

      Just to follow up with Pool Addiction... I place my cue tip gently under the rail to steady the cue as I fasten the extension. Do the same to loosen it in reverse. Because the butt doesn't jiggle while doing this, less chance to scratch the surface.

    • @PoolAddiction
      @PoolAddiction  4 года назад

      Sounds good, I am glad you like it. I guess I need to be a bit more patient with it. Have you ever had difficulty getting loose after using it? I have had the gripping mechanism get stuck and it doesn't want to release the butt.

      @@PoolAddiction No, not yet. It was a bit confusing to me at first. I fiddled with it before trying it the first time. I had actually read the bad stories about it and tried avoiding what the other players did. I got lucky, I guess, when I tried it with the cue tip under the rail. Used it numerous times, no scratches yet. Knock on wood.

    great video as always!
    I just want to add if someone is interested, that I have a poison cue, which is a predator's sister company, and it did have the threads in the butt, so the predator extension fits perfectly. It cost a little more than this universal extension, but I have absolutely no regrets, it's very useful, feels very nice, and it's very easy to get it on and take it off

    • @PoolAddiction
      @PoolAddiction  4 года назад

      That's a great add to the video! I didn't know or even think that the Poison cues would have the same extension system as the Predator cues. Should've known, thanks as always and I am going to add this info to the comment section of the video!

    Wondering about this. I don’t like the idea of throwing the balance of the cue off however I really prefer to not use a bridge as well. Also love the content but every time you come out with a video my wife hates it because our bank account takes a hit haha. Keep it up though I look forward to the next one

      @@PoolAddiction of course I did😀 and u know I ve seen other kind of this universal extension. It has no telescoping thing and no stabilizing . It is just straight forward but it has sponge inside so it doesnt damage the butt at all.. but I m not sure if it fits all the cues over there. And also there some bigger ones which they also use in snooker I guess.. u just use it from beginning of shaft but sticks to the end of butt.. pretty usable also
