You are correct. Several artist do go to rehab and stay in their band. But if the band, recording, touring, etc are such a big part of your drug use, you have to cut ties if you are to get/stay clean. Read his book if you haven't. He does a great job of explaing that whole cycle he was dealing with.
im proud of welch.....he made korn a great band and it would be nice if he would come back but after reading his book i dont blame him for leaving....korn is my favorite band ever! and it always will be....i may be an atheist but im still proud of brian
You have to admit, even at the end of the day head went against the grain. Just like how musically he broke boundaries. He's now fighting the rock mythos. I can respect him for that even if I want him back in KoRn.
weeds not bad. the hardcore drugs are the synthetics are. mushrooms and dmt and other plant derivatives are not wrong. its how you use them to better your life. but im glad to see he made his changes. thats what he feels and everyone should respect that. God is love.

People think that people who follow Jesus should seem happy happy happy. When it is actually a tough thing to do. Only because of the holy spirit it is even possible.
nah he is completly clean its just the affects from years and years of alchohol and drug abbuse...i mean look at ozzy osbourne, hes now fully clean and he talkes like hes doped up
no seriously... from what i know head was a drug addict and was no longer able too look after his little daughter. then he became a christian and everything was fine again, except that he left korn. other artists go to rehab and afterwards return to the band. i mean... jon and fieldy take care of their children and they didn't left the band... :S
i like how people get on here and talk about accepting brians decisions, yet they bash someone else for not agreeing. thats their opinion. as for metal being the devils music, thats not the case. open your mind. sure it has a negative or dark image associated with it. these christian bands are taking a music they love and using it to spread a positive message.

They used them to control and manipulate. They in-force rules that are not biblical. But Christianity, True Christianity is not a religion. It is not based on man made rules but it is a personal relationship with Christ. When you submit your life to God, the is NO DOUBT that GOD is REAL. He becomes so real in your life because he can heal drug addictions, diseases, pain and suffering of your heart.

Brian Welch is no less saved than you are simply because he plays metal music and neither am I for listening to it. It's his outlet for worshipping and praising the Lord and there's nothing wrong with that. Besides, through faith and repentance ALL sins will be forgiven, Mark 3:28.
