All time favorite Bruin, heart, tenacity and grit, the man never quit. Grew up watching him, always working, digging in the corners, standing up for himself and teammates. Side note, met him once and he was the nicest guy, a true gentleman.
Great admiration for #24 from a Philadelphia fan. O'Reilly gave it all he had every shift and every minute he was on the ice. That's all you can ever ask of a player. Was very sorry to learn he lost his son a few years ago. Sympathies and always great respect to Terry O'Reilly.
Anyone not in Boston during O’Reilly’s career have no idea how much this city embraced & Loved this man ! And we still do…..! Nobody played the game with his energy, heart, toughness & love for the game .
Well, to be fair, Monteal has won more cups than any team ever will, and had a boatload of EXCELLENT players over the years, but you cannot deny O' Reilly giving 110% every game. He was,and is a legend in Boston.@@gooddognigel9992
I grew up in Detroit. The other day a new neighbor was walking his dog and I saw a Bruins emblem on his keychain. I said "Boston Bruins, huh?" He said yeah, you like the Bruins? I said not really, but I really loved Terry O'Reilly and his eyes lit up and he said I don't know you, but I like you already.
My dad named one of our puppies Terry after him. Because he was a little turd always fighting with his litter mates and having to be corrected by mama.
Grew up a Montreal Canadiens fan in that era so needless to say I despised everything about The Boston Bruins and Terry O'Reilly back then. Time passages and watching this tribute makes me appreciate warriors like Terry O'Reilly in any sport, they are actually rarer than superstars. You can fall back in line behind those type of players and go to battle as they lead the charge. Totally fearless.
Bruins are running out of numbers to retire... Are there any single numbers (except 1) left? Only nine numbers between 10 & 37 are being worn 2021 season.
He couldn't skate worth a damn when he first got to the Bruins, turned into one of best all around players. Lol Happy Gillmore was supposed to be model after him.
What a warrior! They'll never be another O'Reilly.

He's the most Boston Bruin, Bruin ever. My all time favorite player. Lead his team in scoring & PIM's. Only O'Reilly
Marty -He worked for my Grandmother after his retirement. Best Bruin ever.
Now that’s a hockey player 👍👍👍
Word...
That's a hockey player with no rings,,,not even one!😢

I am a Habs fan and love Nilan, O'Reilly, and Neely. WARRIORS for their respective teams!

My favourite hockey player was Terry O'Reilly! Clark Gillies certainly knows what he's all about!
Loved this guy!!
Orr said if you had a team made up of all Terry Oreilly's, then you would never lose a game.
Probably because his team would knock the heads off the other team to the point that the other team couldn't play a game
@ John Tobin
the mighty Montreal Canadiens, after hearing that comment, were drooling all over their stanley cup rings

Orr could tell a good joke from time to time.

The best was when he sat down in the penalty box . Respect from Habs Nation
Respect to you for the compliment sir.
Love Terry ...real Bruin ...if there ever was one 🐯
My dad named one of our puppies Terry after him. Because he was a little turd always fighting with his litter mates and having to be corrected by mama.
I grew up in NYC. Big Rangers fan but nonetheless had huge respect for guys like O'Reilly. Looked forward to visits by the Black and Gold at MSG.
the only shame is they waited that long to retire his number... taz 24
Just like Dewey's # in Boston.
My favorite player.

He was fun to watch!!
Long live the champ
I seem to remember the team giving Terry double runner skates for Christmas one year.
Come to think of it that's almost like rowdy pipers entrance song! I love them both!
My favourite!
Best fearless...both him and Schultz.

#37 will be be retired in a few years too.

There's a reason they called him the Tasmanian devil
An Irishman honored by a Irish city
my son is not going to kindergarten not knowing about this guy!
TAZ
The goal at 2:57 was a beaut
Just a joke..Terry learned to skate before walking..I only seen him on skates. God bless..Leafs fan..
I've been a Bruins fan since 1966 and the Ultimate Bruin is Bobby Orr ! It was back then , it is now and it will always be " BOBBY ORR " .
He beat up Dave Schultz!
Terry and Ron hextall would be a deadly team
Hextall should have been a Bruin.
Why the bagpipes?
He is Irish. That is huge in Boston.
@@billsouza4457 I was going to say bagpipes are Scottish but Ireland has them too
Because O’Reilly is Portuguese. Why do you think they had a pipe band???
Hockey is so boring today. As with most sports they wimped it down and made it more PC. I wish it would go back to the old days but that won't happen.
He was a dandy
Could have used him this year.
Hated him just a tough guy
Never ,he was Irish to core
