The current version (mild hybrid) does have a new engine with a chain. I wonder as to why this oldish version is apparently still being sold in some markets as it was replaced by the new engine at least all over Europe.
Same issue, 3.5year old car, engine failure due to wet belt disintegrating and no support from anywhere, no one is accepting responsibility for the issue, I'm over £18k out of pocket and a car sat on the drive that's not even worth £600
