Hey as a fresher if I have offers from Microsoft and DE shaw which one should I prefer?
Hi, it will completely depend on the end goal here. Obviously from a compensation point of view, D E Shaw would be more than that of microsoft at least for the freshers.
Now you would need to ask yourself are you interested in technology or interested in finance. In D E Shaw, being a fin tech company a lot of learning about finance will be there. You would learn technology as well, but it will be limited to building use cases for the domain!
On the other hand purely from a technical stand point, you will tend to learn a lot in Microsoft, purely because the use cases that they are trying to solve are in varied domains and involves high degree of complexity along with it.
So the question to you then, what do you prefer? Solving financial problems or solving technological challenges?
Will depend on which department or team you are getting in DE Shaw.

yes! Most of the product based company interviews are language agnostic! Toh kisi bhi language me code kar sakte ho. But, mostly people do code in cpp/java. But it does not matter which language you code in.

hi that is LPA mentioned. In industry we do not talk about the CTC but the total yearly compensation that is there to offer.

Sir Amazon bhi to 30LPA de raha hai CTC SDE-1 KO
Nai. That is not the yearly salary for SDE 1.
It contains stocks for 4 years added to it.
Yeh jo maine bataya hai aur baaki videos me bhi bataya hai saari yearly salary hai.
Amazon kahi pe bhi 30 LPA nai de rhi gor SDE 1
Aur ek aur baat yeh LPA means lakh per annum (meaning lakhs per year) phir CTC kaise hua where you are adding stocks for 4 years.
Here I have discussed the in hand pre tax salary for a year

QA ki salary in comparison sde se kam hoti hai but not by a lot. So agar sde ka range hai 22 to 35 hai for MTS, similarly qa ka range is around 18 - 25 for MTS.
