Me: How much risk is there involved?
Hedge funds: yes
????
Doesn't make sense.
So how much risk? Is there risk?
Are you saying there should be NO risk?
I am not getting it
@@momentumstocks3493 you don't get it because the joke flew straight over your head
Hit 213k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nugget you have thrown my way since last year. The hedge fund you talked then was the game chaNgeR for me. Since I started working with them everything just aligned for good
It Pains me whenever I see amateur losing in the market. Hedge fund will save you and make enough for you if you go with their trade. I have been doing this since last 2years and I Averaged almost $400k per year
This is what I have been saying earlier that institutions like hedge fund are the best to work with because they are well informed and have access to massive funds and data to take advantage off retailers. Credits to my FA

Totally agree, is not overwhelming yet is detailed enough to understand the basic concept

Thank goodness you brought this up! Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 10 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life. Great piece!
Wow, congratulations on your impressive investment success! Your discipline and focus on delayed gratification is truly inspiring. I'm curious, what are some of the key factors that you consider when making investment decisions? Do you have any tips for those of us who are just starting to dip our toes into the world of investing? Thanks for sharing your story!

she's a known advisor. I actually did look her up curiously and went through her credentials on her webbsite... Top-notch! I wrote her an email, hopefully she's accepting new intakes.
I'm definitely gonna check her out. Do yo have any idea if she manages family fund?
She's definitely going to help you. All you have to do is look up her full name and reach out to her on her webbsite...
The editing for this video is better than the previous ones, idk who did it but hats off.
I keep loosing in real trade but win in Demo.
Should I give up on Trade?
What should I do?
How may I do better?
What I'm I doing incorrectly?
I HAVE INCURRED SO MUCH LOSSES TO TRADE ON MY OWN,I TRADE WELL ON DEMO BUT I THINK THE REAL MARKET IS MANIPULATED.
I always advice new members to have an orientation on how it works before getting involved. Trade offers more benefits than just holding.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. A trader made over $350k in this recession influenced market
The best course of action is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance.
Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic.
Please who is the consultant that assist you with your investment and if you don't mind, how do I get in touch with this person
*John Desmond Heppolette* is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
Thanks for sharing, I just looked him up on the web and I would say he really has an impressive background in investing. I will write him an e-mail shortly.
For individual investors, it is important to exercise caution in investment decisions and fully understand the balance between risk and reward
Great video - as I work myself in an investment bank I found this video to be short, clear and straight to the point!
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching!
This is the only video out of many where I actually understood what hedge fund means. Thank you!
Hello Afzal. Do you think it really matters the ranking of the university or cost when it comes to find a job in the Finance field after a master program?
The markets remain doubtful that the Federal Reserve will keep to its plan to raise interest rates until inflation is under control, even though bond yields are rising while stock prices are falling. What is the best method to profit from the current bear market while I'm still considering whether to sell my $401,000 worth of stocks?
I advise you to seek professional advice because building a strong financial portfolio is more challenging. Your long-term objectives and budgetary preferences can be catered to in the ideas you get after that.
Working with a reputable investing coach is currently the greatest market strategy. I've been in contact with a coach for a while, mostly because I don't have the breadth of knowledge or mental fortitude to handle current persistent market conditions. I made over $700k throughout this recession, demonstrating that the market is trickier than most people believe.
@@greenquake11931I need suggestions to assist me recover my portfolio and create more effective strategies because of the huge dips. How do I locate this coach?
@@stellamoore720 There are many financial coaches who excel in their profession, but for the time being, I employ 'BRIDGET MARY TUROW", because I adore her methods. You can make a research and find out more about her services.

These kinds of video that take us out of misery from not understanding the terms in our reading assignments. Thanks for the amazing video.
Short, simple and informative video. This guy speaks and conveys real well.
using this for exam prep honestly got more out of this then a ninety minute lecture
😄😄
"in basic english" thanks for this, as a non-native, sometimes is hard to look for definitions (specially in a field that I'm not familiar with) without encountering hundreds of other words and concept I don't know about
Really straight forward communication. Clear explanation of hedge funds. Kudos!
Because of the GameStop saga I've watched a lot of videos about hedge funds. But your explanation is the best of them all. Thanks!
Love this 2-minute series! They really teach you way more than a long 300-page book in an easier way! So basically the difference between a Hedge Fund and a Private Equity Fund is that Hedge Funds pool leveraged money and then invest it into their projects which could result in higher risk but also a higher ROI (if things go right of course...) compared to Private Equity because Private Equity Funds pool money from investors, making investors be a part of the project itself and making money off of the project itself meanwhile in a Hedge Fund the investors are just basically lending the money to the fund and making their return via the pay off of the money they borrowed to the Hedge Fund. Am I correct?
Worth watching. and its easy to understand the logic rather than referring to book definition. Please share similar kind of video on various financial topics by giving such a good examples in simple terms which will e useful for common man.
I found this very interesting: cogent, informative, and devoid of jargon, in short, educational. Keep up the good work and wishing you continued success.
Wowwww very simply explained, subscribed within the first few seconds due to being sold on simple delivery of the concept
Thanks!
Hey Afzal can you do a video on how to lateral from S&T to investment banking? Specifically for someone in sales since that isn’t touched on too often? Enjoyed your vid as always!

Not all hedge funds take a on a huge amount of risk and leverage. It’s just all depends on the manager and his investment strategy
Thanks for this video, it made a lot more sense than the others I tried watching

I currently have 4500 shares of SCHD! My goal is 5k shares. This is my retirement plan!! My portfolio consists of 200 voo 200 vug 150 vgt 4500 SCHD! Is the future bright or not?
Bother less and enhjoy the time you have left.
the size of your retirement portfolio will overwhelmingly be a function of the performance of the stock and bond markets between now and when you start withdrawing from it.
You need a third party to help you out. A financial planner or accountant can run through your figures, including your projected income and expenditures when you retire, along with your retirement goals, your emergency fund and any other strategies you need to put in place for such things as long-term care
@@ClaudiaRom I have seen a lot about FAs and actually want to consult some pro. How did you go about it? Is yours any good?
@@benalfredo I have saved myself from all the hassle that the chaotic market causes. These days the best way to come into the market space is seeking guidance, due to side hustles i can’t handle my portfolio so i just work with LOREN LENA WALKER, a FA i came across via a recommendation from one of these RUclips retirement coaches.
It’s been smooth since then. Cliche as it may I have made a mark up of 70% in profits investing 350k under her. It helps not to be worried about your portfolio every minute of the day.
As the economy crisis keep rising, one needs to have different stream of income, one needs to have a diversified portfolio in order to survive.
Always love the videos! Just a suggestion from me but maybe can you do Global Markets and what they do next?
Thank you for your helpful content as always!
Want to know your two cents on how one can move from ER to HF?
Could you explain exactly how the wallstreetbets thing affected the hedge funds?
All you really need to know is that high-end Wall Street investors were trying to short-sell failing companies like Game stop and AMC, or in other words, profit from their failure, like a gamble, a very risky one indeed. Hedge funds are notorious for this; they control nearly half of the NYSE and LSE.
But little did they know that r/wallstreetsbet garnered a Reddit Army and convinced swarms of people to buy GME and AMC stock to drive the prices sky-high, and as a result some hedge funds have lost billions of dollars.
Now we have billionaire capitalists crying and politicians rushing to introduce tighter laws to restrict such activity. Some apps even went as far to prevent people from buying GME stock after the price surged through the roof. Sore losers!
When amateur teenagers do it, it's "market manipulation", but when Wall Street does it, it's called "investment strategy". It just shows their double standards; they're only really mad because they were beat at their own game.
Though, the reality is, hype is economically-speaking unsustainable and won't last, although on the bright side, the recent events have showed us the power of social media and how swarms of middle-class people can have a strong impact on the stock market.
@@vuxone5845 oooh now I see. Thanks! Do you personally think all of this will cause any restrictions or regulations to be put in place?
@@vuxone5845 Thank you you're very good at explaining things.
@@alexjdm2422, some apps have already put restrictions on buying GME and AMC stock, e.g. Robin Hood blocked retail investors from purchasing Reddit-hyped stock while hedge funds can freely trade the stock they see as fit.
AOC and some economists have called it out, but unfortunately much of the US government is largely and deeply tied to the Wall Street elite, so prominent investors and hedge funds simply have more political backing and more power to protect themselves even when they make rather conservatively authoritarian and unfair moves.
In fact, stock-trading platforms can legally put even MORE restrictive regulations (such as block entire stocks, or even remove them in some cases) as there is no specific law that prohibits them from making a move during such abnormal surges in the market, but if they were to get too restrictive, they would violate what a free market and economy stands for, and hence receive public backlash and media critique which would go against their financial and public-image interests.
So it's highly unlikely the trading platforms would take a step further than the current restriction of buying the Reddit-hyped up stock. They won't get more strict than that. They can't.
Though, if events like these repeat and become the normality, then the US government will put more regulations to protect the financial interests of the upper-class.
Business shouldn't be so intertwined with politics, but that's sort of the way it's always been, everywhere.
@@vuxone5845 you’re right...
Can you do quant funds next

Hedge funds don't necessarily take on huge risk... many have sub 15% annualised vol, could be a better way to explain to describe their strategies as absolute return strategies. Risk can even be lower with certain strategies in some scenarios as many, e.g. equity long/short have low corr to markets.
Thanks, Chulie. I might have to add 'annualised volatility', 'absolute return strategies', 'equity long/short', etc. to the list of future Two Minute Tuesday videos as the target audience for these videos (teenagers, students, graduates, young adults, and non-finance professionals) will likely get overwhelmed with the jargon. Tricky thing to do in such a short time, but I hear where you're coming from. Thanks nonetheless.
Main aim of these videos is to give any viewer a general, high level gist of the word/topic/term being discussed.
