  • Hi friends! Long time no vlog, but we’re back with a new work week in my life video. This video shows my work days as a QA Analyst, how I try to embrace the holiday season, and chats about changes with life and work. It’s also Thanksgiving which means lots of cooking, family, and running a 5k!

    Did I get a certification/attend a bootcamp for QA?
No, my company hires manual QA as an entry level position and then provides the training.
Do I need to know code?
For my testing specifically, I do not need to know how to write code.
Am I manual or automation QA?
    Manual

    Hi Madeline,
I think I saw somewhere that you uses to be a teacher? If so, I'm interested in hearing about your transition from a teacher to QA. I'm a teacher and looking to make a career change to taking courses in QA.

Hello Madeline, this might not be related to this video but I just have a question if you have any recommended platform or campanies online that are constantly hiring QA's? I have a total of 1 and a half year experience as manual qa tester and im looking to apply for a company that offers work from home and higher pay/salary than my current employer. Thank you and happy holidays to and your family. 😊❤

Hey Madeline! I just started my first Manual QA position and we were picking out a testing application, what do you think is the best one and what would you recommend for a first timer?

sorry for offtipic but one question: do qa testers create bug reports mainly? i started working for like a month now and still only writing bug reports daily, not doing a test case, not doing automation, not even doing some kind of other things, just writing bug reports, THANK YOU ))

Hi friend! The specifics of this job definitely change a lot depending on the company you work for, so I’m not sure. If you’re only a month in it may be more for training purposes? I would say bug reports is only a part of the daily tasks, so I would guess you’ll start doing other things before long! I hope it goes well and you enjoy the job!
