Thank you for sharing your building process of a beautiful bicycle. I admire all of your techniques on how you approach the mechanical side. It looks like you have been a bicycle mechanic for years you make it look too easy. ☕️🙏🏼
this is what i like about japanese culture, their work ethics and craftsmanship are always on point. i mean they take no shortcuts in building something
For me, the 3 best aspects of this build: The way he laced the wheels... The way he set up the brakes... 2x... I would ❤ to have him build a bike for me!
While watching this film, I did not succumb to the temptation to get distracted even for a moment. I was like never before when I was so focused on the work of someone as banal as it is brilliant. It is impossible to ignore the things that surround us and at the same time have so much to tell us, because they are anointed very much. a high coefficient of difficulty that always accompanies artists of great caliber, creating almost perfect works that, while serving humanity, contribute to its faster development, with a very slight translation, silently, or perhaps silently, they rush forward with a simplicity worthy of the master who contributed significantly to their creation.
Beautiful. The only step that surprised me is that he didn't verify the hanger alignment before mounting the rear derailleur. It may have been correct from frame manufacturing, but so could tha facing, and he carefully did that. Maybe alignment was done but didn't make it into the video editing.
He scratched a bit near the bottom bracket area. It got skillfully painted back afterwards Got to love those GRX crank, matching the handlebar's satin finish
It is a good video, as a long time mechanic though, I never seen a torque wrench. I also only install one headset cup at a time, and I don't put finish tape onto the bars. That being said, I am sure there are lots of things we all do differently. He has lots of skill, and there are lots of good ideas on this video. Well done! and a beautiful build.
The same frameset is available in our global store. Blue Lug global store global.bluelug.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=mod+zero BLACK MOUNTAIN CYCLES blackmtncycles.com/ thank you.
If you learn and learn well you be become a craftsman.i did a apprenticeship at collage for a trade and became a craftsman at my trade if you a job do it properly dont corners do it right first time The Japanese culture is all about doing it right with skill.😊
Really don't understand why you need to re-face the bb shell and headtube on a brand new frame. Bike manufacturers have all the best tooling to ensure they are correct from the factory.
I could watch him build wheels for hours. So well practiced and efficient. I want to learn the ways of the wheel master
This may be the single best bicycle video I’ve ever seen. So much respect for his craftsmanship, skill and art.
I am humbled watching the dedication put into this build.

I would ❤ to have him build a bike for me!
Love his brake setup and then removal from the bike to add fluid/bleed. I learned a new trick here.
This is an art of in itself. Beautifully filmed and wonderful work.
Young master wheel builder! Precise. Certain. Confident. Repeat. Serene.
Setting the rims is one of the hardest thing in bike world

If bike mechanics had Michelin stars, this guy would have 6.
Why can’t any shop in the states care this much?
Check out Cutlas Velo in the US. He sure cares as much as they do if not even more!
this bike is super expensive like 3-5 000 us dollars and mountain cycles is from USA
