I still absolutely love that everyone sees something different in your work. The piece you liked the least is my favorite. Positioned with the green on the bottom looks like an abstract city scape to me. The blue being a block of buildings and the green being grass, scrubs/a park : green area. Thanks for sharing ❤❤

But then … OMGosh 😮 I truly believe these pieces are some of your very best, yet 🥰 What I see now, the finished pieces, blows me away. In my eyes, I see beautiful, stylized Asian scenes, with architecture, ponds and leafy trees. I try to look at them as “abstract” art, but seriously - I can’t see anything else but stylized Asian art. I've been watching you for about a month and have travelled down the Denise Love rabbit hole so many times I can write my name in the dust on the furniture. What I save on cleaning supplies I am spending on art supplies. New Year's resolution is to avoid the art haul videos (see how long that lasts). I also watch Debra Lyn Rosenbach and her favorite gouache is Mijello Mission Gold. It reconstitutes with water. Love these pieces and the touch of dark green was perfect. I really like the pedagogical commentary at the end; giving a time limit so things don’t get over thought and over worked is so important. Too often when I start to think too much is when things go south. Finding that happy place is really important! Did it make me happy? If it did, the joy comes through and when other people look at it they pick up on that emotion. Hope you have a wonderful new year.

I was watching another artist recently who said he stopped using Posca pens because when he sealed the art the Poca pens rehydrated. Have you tried putting a varnish or sealer on these pieces?
I do not varnish my pieces. I have a video on preserving art on my channel you can look at for what I do. I’d always do a test piece to see what your supplies do before I’d try it on an important piece. 😊
