This is a challenge that really gets to me mate. Auditory imagery it's that rare ability to translate the sounds in your mind directly into a digital audio workstation. I reckon this would make a fantastic topic for a video on your channel, Nice dog mate 👍
Getting the sound in your head into a track, i have no special answer for. it came from learning how to make sounds over time. an took me lots an lots of trial an error. I posted this video recently too where sometimes that process even falls flat - ruclips.net/video/UbdlBVkJKGU/видео.html
For regular ideas, not music, I do something like 5 jumping jacks, while saying the idea aloud, it sticks in my brain better. Another one I've done is, staring at a leaf or something small while thinking about it, and bringing the leaf home. You gotta make pathways in the brain that associate with the idea
Great question. At night I type note names in semiquavers and non note characters for accidentals and sustain. I'll describe in detail and sometimes a language of personal symbols, scenarios, memories and genres to describe timbre, feel or texture often using gobbledygook. An audio dictation including a count in to get a time reference - I'll sometimes go to the loo for that. Expanding the idea and not giving up is the real work. Most of my ideas on recall seem shit

For general stuff sure. We did KIMS in the marines. But it doesn’t keep creative ideas an moments. They’re so ethereal it’s an annoyance 😂
I always have the same problem ! 😭😂
I had an idea on the walk and literally said to myself “well that one dies here” 😂 maybe someone in the community can come in clutch.
Yes annoyingly I have some really good ideas, usually in the shower, out on walks or driving and there all gone 🙈😂
I hope so ! Comon people 🤞🏼😬🤞🏼
its been known to find me in a towel having left the shower to start something.
Brilliant ! 👏🏼😂👏🏼 “Don’t mind me” haha

Maybe the idea on recall just being shit actually my real issue 😂😂😂
