I still love that the fact that my 2015 Scion is xB is 100% japan made. And I am a proud Scion owner.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I will never get rig of it at all as long as I live.
I just bought a 15 manual model with 30k. I love it! Solid. Fuel economy is not great, though. I haven’t taken it on the highway at distance yet, though.
djkenny the 22 mpg and 28 highway is not bad at all. It takes u 6 days before putting more gas. I fucking love this xB2.5 and I am proud of owning one. I only got 1 of less year left before I am free from my car payment. Bought since brand new. It’s smooth, it’s fun to drive, and one of the most customizable ever.
Toyota Brony I love mine too, I’ve learned how to get best mpg, luckily it’s a manual model, it’s getting a wide range of mpg but generally I exceed 28 mpg pretty often. These are cars that should, last over 300k easily.
Same here !😊

I bought one a week ago. I love it. Plenty of torque, decent gas mileage, surprisingly spacious, and tons of character.. Buy one.
+Nikos paleologos What color?
'Army Rock" or something like that, it might be like the one in the picture.
+buildmorefarms100 I got the red
+Nikos paleologos
you got a 2015?
+MikeDunn yes
I own a 2006 Scion XB and I love her! She still runs perfect, of course I keep her well maintained. This newer model seems to have a few more gadgets...nice. thank you for sharing.
Great video! This is the best review of an xB that I have seen on RUclips. I have a 2012 xB, so from an owner's perspective I can say that you covered pretty much everything about the car. Your comments and info was spot on. Couldn't have made this review any better!
Thank you! That means a lot coming from a fellow reviewer and Scion owner!
+Michael T June 2015 I think.
I heard these things are EXTREMELY reliable...
buildmorefarms100 Had an 08’ LOVED it. Never had one issue. Just sold it to my brother. Have a 17’ Crosstrek now and want my XB back!
Someone said they handle bad in the winter
buildmorefarms100 it’s fully 100% japan made. So ur right. It’s very reliable as hell.
DOCTOR NEGATIVE well there wrong. I been driving this xB through winter and man it handles very nicely.
If you change to more weather oriented tires, they actually do quite well in snow.
I just got the 2012 Scion xB. It is nice and roomy, but I wouldn't call it a "small SUV." It's more of a "large compact hatchback wagon."
It's an SUB. Sport utility box
I miss my XB! Damn you Toyota!!!
What happen to yours?
I have this model and would never give it up !😂
Japanese cars don't mess around.
thanks i watched the video the day before i bought scion and it was so helpful knowing where things are before driving it home
Pym Cat Congratulations on your new vehicle! I'm glad it was useful to you.
+Pym Cat How has it been so far? Likes and dislikes?
My 18 year old son just purchased a 2015 Scion XB and we love it! Very nice vehicle 👍 He just sold his 2004 Volkswagen Jetta and he likes this newer one much better.
Every time I fill up my 2005 xB I see I get anywhere from 32 to 36MPG. This is only possible with the much smaller 1.5L engine vs the 2.4L engine in the new ones.
These are used as Taxis and Uber cars thus the gas really cuts into our profits. Hopefully my xB will last another 150,000 miles. I will say the 2.4L would be better for toeing as I sometimes toe a 4x8ft trailer with anything from couches, yard waste, building materials, etc. Then I get about 27MPG HWY.
Good video! Thanks a lot for putting it together.
Yep, I get about 28-33 on my 2.4 manual.
This was an excellent review of this vehicle. I have owned an '08 and now own the '10 special edition. It was interesting to see what had changed in the last 5 years in standard equipment and features. I was disappointed with Scion for taking out the rear passenger door cupholders and I didn't notice the flip out cupholders in the middle in front of the rear seats. I also am really disappointed that they put the usb/aux port inside the center console. It's great they changed the skinny arm rest for only the driver & made the center console much bigger, but my kids will drive me crazy going in and out of it with their cables. There should be a pass through from theinside to the outside :( I look forward to a review from you for the 2016 XB--preferably highlighting anything that might be different from the standard to the special ed. Maybe next time you could note the colors available for a particular year since they are always changing with Scion! I love my XBs!!

Love this car
I bought a 2012 xd last year and I like it, but man the extra roominess in the xb sounds really appealing to me. Being 6ft tall, im not necessarily uncomfortable in the xd but I could definitely use a tad more legroom. Anyone like 6'2" or taller would not be comfortable in the xd. The extra cargo room in the xb would be nice as well. I may honestly make the switch, or at least test drive it.
I love this car ,if toyota return to put this car in production again add hybrid systems on it, I am sure will sell like water ,100% ok thank.please, toyota bring this car back to live again ok.
I wish they did. Or atleast keep the same gas car, with 2.5L A25A-FKS with 8 speed AT.
Great video! You hardly see any xB's in this color! I really like it; I've seen these in the basic color of black or white. Oh and by the way, the color of the vehicle is called Army Rock Metallic.
+TuAnh Duong Thank you :)
Please share on Facebook and Twitter for others to enjoy
My scion is 2015 and I put 202209 miles and still running very good thank to toyota .
I enjoyed the video, and I want to test drive one. It is sad 2015 is the last year for it.

The Kia SOUL killed it.
2016carsreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/2015-Kia-Soul-rear-view.jpg
I considered a new base manual Soul, but I trust Toyota more. The 2.4 L was really powerful. I found a used barely used that is, 2015 manual. 30k miles under 11 grand. I’ll likely keep it forever.
my 08 xb looks exactly like this except white and I have custom leather seats, they literally didn't change to much.
i love mine too keeping it forever best car money can buy .. how much Hp is urs ...? i want a little more power without turbos i wanna keep it N/A but im unsure on what modds i need if you have any info plz let me know thanks.
Turbo. Nothing else will be a big deal.
I think these have plenty of power, honestly. Might want to buy a different class of car.
@MikesCarInfo one thing. It’s not an SUV. It’s a sub compact vehicle aka hatchback. When u park between this 2015 Scion xB and 2018 Toyota RAV4, they both have similar heights and size. One smal SUV of rav4, and one big ass hatchback xB.
Man hopefully I’m able to find and buy a 2015 Scion Xb in June. My dream vehicle was either this or the Honda Element.
2 years ago I bought a 15 with 31k. Its a great car.
I like your car
CAUTION.......if you buy a used one be aware that SOME 2008-2011 models had high oil consumption....many used a quart of oil OR MORE every 500-1,500 miles.
I was told TOYOTA changed the piston rings in 2012 and cured the problem.
I don't want to be a neusince but I believe the 08-09 were the effected model years according to many resources however I might be wrong. However I am fairly confident this vehicle won't have that problem since they corrected it in 2010
I had an ‘08 and never had any issues or recalls about that.
Some pre 2013 models. Not all had the issue. The Recall campaign will cover any XB for 10 years from model year. Admittedly, some 13 or newer models were inflicted with oil considerably issues, but its pretty uncommon. I am testing my 15 with Toyota. We will check it in 1200 miles from oil
Change. Then I will try again in 3-4 years when it has more miles. My car only has 32k and I bought it a year and 4 months ago. I noticed no oil consumption first 3000 miles between change, and I only use conventional oil.
The oil consumption is mostly on 2008-2010. They fix most if not all but u still very good chance of not gettin an oil consumption, for 2011-2015
Spare tire is a must
good review - I've been thinking of getting one (I hope they don't discontinue it..) but yeah wish they would bring back a retro style first gen xb (with a 2nd gen xb body.)
anyway good job :)
Get a used one. I just did. Love it. They last decades.
I like my 2012 9.0 RS very much
Oddly has a similar interior feel to the very round Toyota Echo. Centered gauge cluster, interior cloth designs similar to 90s Rav4.
Thanks. Didn't get to see the rear-view camera, though.
Very good review. 👍
Wonderful review for the Scion. Can you review for Honda Freed
What’s a Freed?
2015, the last scion.
And it’s a shame
It’s a rav4 for people that don’t like rav4s?
For people who don’t want AWD, complications of it, lower MPG, wanted a little more space, and didn’t want to pay about $10k more for one.
Needs bronze wheels and taller tires, IMO!!! Tint looks fine. Could try painting the roof a second color.
Taller tires? Dont think Bronze would be too much? Im debating what 17” wheels to go with. Like lighter grey or dark.
Мне нравится
Собираюсь приобрести
TOYOTA RECENTLY ANNOUNCED THEY ARE DISCONTINUING THE WHOLE SCION LINE AFTER 2016.......NO MORE SCION MODELS.
They said they would still sell rebadged iAs, iMs and FR-S’s. Plus, if you really wanted an xB you could just buy a bB and export it from Japan.
@MikesCarInfo At 15:00 that I can and help u and tell u what’s the purpose of having the vehicle setting on the audio system, now as a music lover and mostly Love hard bass pumpin hehe it’s gives u different Audio sound systems from each car. And the best part of u adjust the bass and treble u can hear and listen the difference the high quality bass. The tC and FR-S have a very decent bass sound, and xD has a little more nice bass than the xB that setups already. But if u try the Scion iQ, for a little car it has the more powerful base that U will ever hear it. I chose that iQ sound system because it’s exactly how I want it. And it’s very surprising and rare of how most or some Scion owners don’t know about it.
So there u have it my friend. I hope that helps a lot if u try it.😎✌🏼
Am I the only one concerned for the engine temperature gauge not being on the dashboard... What if I over heat!?
It has a light indicator on the dash that would come on if it ever overheats.
Wish they never removed it. Earlier like up to I think 2010? Has one.
I’m Japanese who living in North America. My Japanese friend recommended “Toyota Bb” and I was looking for that around where I live. Today, I knew why I couldn’t find the Bb. Are Toyota Bb and Scion Xb almost same....is that right?
They are, but no all wheel drive.
Toyota bB is similar to first gen Scion xB (‘04-06)
The second gen Scion xB (‘08 - ‘15) is known in Japan as the Corolla Rumion.
me gusta mucho este vehículo
This isnt an suv, its a hatchback
Michael Sylvester II What is the methodology for determining whether a vehicle is an SUV or a Hatchback considering most SUVs have hatchbacks?
***** I am not trying to be annoying... I am genuinely interested in the methodology for determining whether a vehicle is an SUV or not. I am aware this vehicle is marketed as a wagon but it is comparable in size (height, length and ground clearance) as the RAV4 which is considered an SUV.... and they both have hatchbacks. Is it cargo capacity? Angle of approach?

-
This one is actually smaller:
www.edmunds.com/jeep/renegade/2015/features-specs.html?sub=suv
I believe it is a Sub-compact suv js
Michael Sylvester II it's not an SUV, or Hatcheback (which I thought it was called hatchback). It's more of a sport/funky wagon. And I own one and I love it.👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
MikesCarInfo it’s considered a sub compact aka hatchback. 90% of people say as a fact a hatchback, and other 80% people say it’s wagon which it does look like one. 4-6% people says it’s an SUV but it’s not. And they need to do some research of that
Kinda sad Scion is going away. :(
Isn't that unsafe for the Engine to take off at 4th gear? just curious...
+Geo4242 Yeah I wouldn't recommend it.
yep you can damage a crank shaft
Nothing wrong shifting to the 4th gear. When h drive normal speed, u will be on 4th gear. No issues.
Looks like same car any changes he sure is obsessed with dat steering wheel?
Too bad that the XB will be discontinued at the end of 2015. It's not selling well.
+Keith Ford
Old design, out with the old, in with the new!!
But will its replacement be as roomy and comfortable for senior citizens?
Keith Ford
Don't know but the target buyers are young people anyway, the whole SCION line is.
+Keith Ford its a great car.. dont get me wrong, escpecially if u want to save on Gas.. but maybe it was too pricey.. i wouldn't mind one.. but maybe the price turn people off..
Toyota is discontinuing the entire Scion brand. The iM iA and FRS are going to be rebaged as Toyotas at the end of the year
Nice car but obviously the review of someone selling it. This car is about as aerodynamic as a brick wall
I don't sell cars.
Sadly, Toyota is not built this kind of Scion xB anymore.
I heard they consume oil like there is no tomorrow. Is this so?
No just regular upkeep . My 2010 runs great .
Some earlier gen 2’s. Not a 2015.
So pity this wonderful vehicle stop production on 2015.
Is the 2.4 prone to oil consumption issue?
Not so much passed 2012. Rare.
It’s common within 2008-2010
How is the 4 speed auto?
The 4 speed AT is classic shifting feel. Meaning it’s great. Can’t go wrong with it.
They didnt change anything its the same car 8 years something different? Notttttttt
Toyota is not in the market to change for change sake. They build reliability. Perfect it. But there was some changes like a back up camera in 15, and around 2013 the interiors received cool fabric with a design, not so plain.
He shows the sticker with a glare and tinted windows that we can't read and doesn't say how much it cost.
it's a great little wagon to get around town in. its sells itself on value.
This car is for tall people
AskedEnd 668 tall people or not. It's worth owning one.
Someone must’ve hacked this channel
Why?

That’s the ugliest car in history
It’s not meant for everyone. The uglier,boxy-ish, and very clean unique are, the better they will be. In history? I doubt it lol.
They are a must.
