Just got a v5 tamper there at Christmas. It's so much handier than the older models; the self levelling element just takes away that 'is this properly level?' question - that usually took me peering at the freshly pressed puck to make sure I'd not messed it up.
Just reveiced my wiedecent v6 and, very unfortunately, my leveling plate is not going back all the way after tamping. Nearly a centimeter of gap is remaining. Can i somehow adjust the associated spring mechanism or do I have a bad product that must be returned?
I purchased V5 from Wiedermann in Walnut but is was much lighter than Decent version of V5 with aluminium handle, I was little bit disappointing. - Decent v5 weight: 420.5gr - Wiedermann version v5: 295.9gr
Hi, just interested in tamping 'depth'. Is this adjustable? For example, is there a potential for the tamper to bottom out if there aren't enough grounds in the basket? Or is it designed to tamp deeper than necessary? Cheers
