    A big thank you from Kerala Ma'am ..helps me during this lockdown...I have doubt regarding the grid ..What's the use of a grid kept at the bottom and how can I get one...? Is it available online.?..And can I use normal steel utensils for cooking rice and dal inside pressure cooker..?

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 года назад +1

      Hi Kinson George, thanks for the kind words. The grid is to ensure some gap at the bottom between the vessel and the cooker for the water jacket. I think it is not available online. You may need to buy one from a stainless steel utensils shop. Yes, you can use normal steel utensils for cooking rice and dal inside a cooker. Do not use heavy utensils. You can watch my separators video and my induction friendly, dishwasher safe cookware video. I am sharing the link of these two videos below -

    Which cooker is use for induction?

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 года назад

      All stainless steel cookers can be used on induction. Mainly the base should be flat.
      You get induction friendly cookers in all leading brands these days - Prestige, Vinod, Hawkins, Butterfly and many more.
      Watch my video on My dishwasher safe and induction friendly cookware video.

    I hv normal steel cooker. Can i use it on induction cooker

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  4 года назад +1

      Hi Saraswathi, yes normal steel cooker can be used on the induction. Basically the cookware should be steel or stainless steel with a flat base. Aluminium cannot be used on induction hob.
      I've shown a video in which I've shown all the induction cookware I use. I'm sharing the link of the video below :

    Can I use my 5.5 or 4.5 Stainless steel pressure cooker on my induction cooker? Is there any specification about the maximum capacity that can be used? Thank you in advance.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Rupsa, there is no restriction on size(capacity) of the cooker. Only the diameter of the base iof the cooker or any vessel should be between 11cm and 26 cmm. Also the base has to be flat.
      You can use your 5.5 or 4.5 Ltr SS pressure cooker definitely on your induction.
      Thanks for your query.

      Hi, that is the reason we wash rice twice or thrice before cooking.

    How do you how to set the timer for chapathi, rice, milk etc

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  4 года назад +1

      Hi Saraswathi, each of these items require different cooking time just like when we cook on gas. It depends on so many things, for eg. if you take rice, milk etc. the time so depend on the quantity, temperature of water, quantity being cooked if it is rice and temperature of milk (whether it is normal or cold, in case it is taken out from the fridge), the cookware you use, whether it is heavy or light/thin gauged.
      So one can learn it only by trial and error on regular usage.
      From my usage of over 8 years, I boil milk a litre of milk in 8-10 starting with 1100W power for 6 minutes and the balance time at 900W power. Here again I am not giving the exact timing because it depends on the temperature of milk.
      Similarly for cooking just 1 cup of rice in a 3L cooker it can take 8-10 minutes on 900/1100W power. Du you can set the time to 10 minutes and can switch off if you have got the required number of whistles 3 or 4. If you cook rice with dal, the time varies.
      I set 15 minutes at 1100W power for cooking 1½ cups rice and ½ cup tuvar dal together (in 2 separators). Once the required pressure is reached, I reduce the power to 900W. Sometimes cooking gets over before 15 minutes ( you will know by the number of whistles) and some other times depending on the vessel and cooker used, it takes 2-3 minutes more. That's why I said you've to learn by trial and error, based on your usage of ingredients, item to be cooked, cookware used etc.
      Trust I've cleared your doubts.
      Thank you.

    • @vighneshprabhu4242
      @vighneshprabhu4242 5 лет назад

      Haan paani daalna hota hai. Warna vessel jal jayega... Aur unevenly cook hoga rice.

      @BhuvanaAdi  5 лет назад

      Hi Dipender, cooker mein agar alag alag bartan/separator use karkar cooking karoge to yeh bahut zaroori hai ki, cooker bottom mein pehele paani dale aur baad mein hi bartan raken. Bagair Pani ke cooker jal jayegi.
