This video is completely wrong, Besse wasn't austronesian she was part of a culture called the Toaleans who were melanesian. The surprisingish part is the presence of Denisovans DNA, which was suspected but couldn't be confirmed given that the surrounding islands had people with Denisovans DNA.
You are jumping the gun, nobody said Toaleans were melanesian (at least completely.) It is conceivable the ancestors of Bessé’ were among the first people to reach Wallacea. Somehow not surprised, considering some of us have a certain peculiar look & set of traits that are so peculiar, they might've come from Denisovans
Was she double jabbed otherwise she shouldn't have been travelling
This video is completely wrong, Besse wasn't austronesian she was part of a culture called the Toaleans who were melanesian. You can still see this admixture on the modern population of Sulawesi with rates of 5%-15% of their genes. The surprisingish part is the presence of Denisovans DNA, which was suspected but couldn't be confirmed given that the surrounding islands had people with Denisovans DNA.
You are jumping the gun, nobody said Toaleans were melanesian (at least completely.)
It is conceivable the ancestors of Bessé’ were among the first people to reach Wallacea. However, they also have deep ancestral signature from an early modern human population in continental Asia. Who are not related to forebears of Papuans and Australian.
@@abcddef2112 it's been known that Toaleans were some sort of melanesian, whether they are more closely related to Melanesian Negritos of South east Asia or the Oceanian Melanesian isn't clear yet. Again it's always been suspected that denisovans did inhabit Sulawesi in the deep past but they had no physical proof until Besse showed said admixture.
@@abcddef2112 if they are related to South east Asian Negritos than yes they definitely have "Asian" admixtur, heck even the melanesian Onge of Andaman has some Asian in them from ancient times. That doesn't make them not melanesian.
@@ANTSEMUT1 Well yeah but you are jumping the guns when you said melanesian and not austronesian because clearly, she is mixed. Another thing is, it seems to have interesting asian ancestry. Since similarity with tianyuan specimens is noted as well.
Hmm onge and negrito aren’t melanesian, are you just describing people with black skin of the area as melanesian. At least they are not referred as such in papers. They are diverse bunch some are more austroasiatic.
@@abcddef2112 except they are classed as austroloid-melanesian granted not particularly close to Australia aboriginals and Oceanic melanesian, being separated by 28,000 years of genetic drift from each other.
What a great discovery on my homeland
Very interesting 🤔!
So Melanesia and Austronesia is apparently brother

7000 years ago that's long long ago
This just in. We were off a few thousand years. Sorry.
This only proves that we don't know Jack about history yet we present our theories as cold hard facts SMH
You obviously don't know how science works. Theories based on facts don't mean they can't be updated.
@@bluearchangel665 I'm not against science I'm against the arrogance in the community and just because something is based on a fact doesn't make it factual as there is too many other factors at play that are overlooked
@@theflowofstreetwall576
You cannot prove anything without doing some scientific research, if you want to change it then look more evidence and provide to prove your theory. Don't just make a conclusion without sufficient evidence, one video making a claim does not make it a fact.

Weren’t denisovans extinct for more than 13,000 years, how can they have arrived in Asia 3500 years ago? (I’m not an expert just curious)
Well that what we are Knowing now but they are new discovered changes our knowledge 🙏
This video is completely misquoting the discovery.
Maybe Denisovans arrived in Southeast Asia around 35,000 years ago & those that were at least 75% Denisovan went extinct as recently as around 7,500-8,000 years ago…
What's the significance of this finding in relation Denisovan migration?
She was an Austronesian Girl with traced amounts of Denisovan DNA.... The Malenesians and Australian Aborigines were there long before her.
Im actually surprised they giv it 3500 yrs cross path. Chinese dynasty history alone is about 5000 yrs, before dynasty are tribesmen. I wouldnt surprised if Siberian ppl cross path with oceania about 9k to 10k yrs. They just happens to find Besse remains..they could exists longer thn tht without proof of remains. In fact, Besse remains found small amount of DNA belonging to Siberian caves could suggest it being cross bred among locals many times over and its Siberian sides being highly diluted.
Chiense ancient history is questionable because they might mix historical accuracy with fiction. The reliable era that compile history was the dynasty before the Tang
