This is fun, thank you. I personally find easier to reach the D third octave with all holes covered. Also going from first octave D to second to third, and when you've all the Ds you can create a doodle with all three. It has worked for me. Just sayin'
Merci !
I was just jokng around with my partner, ow fun it would be for him to do a metal version of this on his drum kit and that I could maybe play the tin whistle....and well lookie here!
Thank you Mary. I've been playing 5 years and am completely self taught 🤣 I followed a RUclips video or two to get started and then about six weeks in I just decided to work out how to play tunes by ear when I couldn't find the music I wanted to play. 😆 It took off from there!
beautifuly played...wondering what type of instrument Your playing.please...I was looking into buying a Irish flute...yours looks similar to a recorder of sorts..what type is yours please..
I realy love this song! Its very difficult to play and for a Beginner like me, a real competition. But I would prefer to have more tutorials from songs that are more... medieval or things like rock... for exampel "Drachentanz" or "Heimdal" from Satatio Mortis, or Faun with the wonderful Song Sonnenreigen.
You are the best! I learn with your tutorials a lot about how to have a good sound, thank you!! And I want to ask you a favor, I want to learn your songs but I'm so slowly reading this tabs, if you have the notes (I think it's name is sheet music..) I would appreciate it very much, if you don't have it it's ok! I try it! Thankss😊
I really love this whistle sound so what whistle is it if you don't mind. I haven't bought one yet and I need something that won't make my family throw me out
That was absolutely sublime. Thank you so much for this haunting rendition. May I ask what whistle you are using, it sounds a tad more pleasing on the ear than my Clarke tin whistle. In all honesty my wife compares my playing to running fingernails down a classroom blackboard and yours to liquid honey. Need I say more. Steve
Thank you! I'm playing Carbony whistles (link in the video description). They're about 50 tones the price of a Clarke, so you can cut yourself some slack 🤣😉 They're really wonderful low whistles though!
I hope you check comments on older videos. 😊 If I understand your outro right, does this mean I could commission tabs for davy spillane’s caoineadh cú chulainn?
I do 😊 and yes you can commission a tutorial for a tune. Can you send me a direct message on one of my socials? Or email me and I'll give you more details: sbfilmstudios@gmail.com
The backing music for this tutorial is available on my Patreon for $5+ monthly supporters 😊 along with many other backing tracks too: www.patreon.com/CutiePiePiper
Whoa this piece is amazin! Thanks for showing us how to play it. Do you know where the score might be found? To me more difficult to read the tab than the score. Thank you again for you amazing videos.
Heya! Thank you for creating this. Such a lovely tune. Riverdance 25th anniversay show brought me here. I've been searching the internet to find out who plays the flute, and what flute it is. You might be the one to know!? :D There is a video on RUclips, with that tune you play. The very first tune in the show. I'll post a link here. It's 8:12 timestamp. I hope you see this, and feel like replying. ruclips.net/video/2THvn7-rBig/видео.html Have a wonderful day. And thank you for your efforts! :)

I knew tin whistle 20 years ago from River Dance. I hope you play more songs of River Dance!
Same here 🤗
@@kfwilliam Riverdance? Isn't that a form of dance where it's allowed but not required to move one's arms while dancing? 🤔
@@christophertsiliacos8958 No, Riverdance is the name of a famous Irish dancing show. Riverdance itself is not a type of dancing.
@@kylahislop6212 In the words of Johnny Carson, " I did not know that." 😔
Bill Wealand wrote the tunes so hard to play so the musicians were ocupied night after night when they were on tour. Very well done CutiePie
Great song - Thank you ! I went to their show in the 90s - I took my Mum & Dad - she loved it
I went to see Riverdance live twice and you nailed it, so beautiful!
The music of Riverdance is always challenging. A book with tin whistle sheet music published many years ago is a good starting point for all.
"Selections from Riverdance for Pennywhistle" by Bill Whelan. Released in 2000, but still available online. 😁
An incredible sweetness, beautiful notes 🙏Thank you
When I was a kid, I saw Riverdance and this song made me want to learn how to play the low D whistle sooooooo very much afterward. :)
Beautiful,, Reel around Sun by Riverdance,, Amazing Thin Wistle Tutorial Cutie Pie, thank you🎉🎼💕👏💐
Thank you for putting out this tutorial video. It is by far the best one in your RUclips series!
I was just listening to this randomly at work. It's so, so beautiful!
Love this and have the original music for it but could never master it. Thanks Stephanie😀👍
What a hauntingly beautiful sound!
Love the video and the special effects tones for this difficult tune. Big day coming up soon... I never forget! Be well!
Fantastic. For sure I'm going to give this one a go.
Wow nicely done!
Brilliant, Brilliant 👍👍👍👍

Now I'm so glad my low D whistle is on it's way!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. My favourite.
Who give this a tumbs down?? Whoever you are you need your ears checked!! Brilliant job 👍❤️
What a delicate melody & so well played, Steph!
P.S. I also love the toucan birds on your shirt! :-D
Just wow! 🥰
Fantastic!
I would love to hear you play Lament for Cu Chulainn and Midnight Walker. Noel

Bonsoir je suis aussi en France et j’aurais aimé savoir où vous aviez acheté une low D ? Merci pour votre réponse !
Good as always 👍🏻

Watching this: oh it doesn't seem too bad?

The faster part is about half the speed of the original too! 😱😱

How can i found the base of reel around the sun without the flute?

That will be your part 2. You have to play and dance
