- Learn to play what must be my MOST REQUESTED tune ever :D Beltaine (by Beltaine). You'll ideally need both low and high whistles in D to play this, but you can play on any whistle and it still sounds great.I hope you enjoy playing along with these tin whistle tabs.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I'd never heard this before! It's lovely and immediately goes to my learn-to-play list.
Same here, so you are not alone.
Same, good luck!
I'm proud that this awesome musicians are from my country, Poland ❤️❤️❤️
OMG it's Polish band and I have never dreamt that I will ever see anything from them at your channel 😍 yeah, obviously I'm Polish and I had a pleasure to be at a few concerts of Beltaine in Poland. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! Now I want a Low D whistle too!
Rockhill album is the best album of Beltaine for me it had made a very significant impact on me when i listened it the first time. Beltaine is one of the best opening songs that an album could have, unveiling in essence what great songs are going to follow. Thank you so much Stephanie , Beltaine have a great sentimental value. Thank you so so much
I'm from Brazil and I really appreciate the video, I love this song and you played beautifully!
Que bom ver outro brasileiro por aqui
@@LucasIbere opa tô sempre por aqui bixo haushauahshs
Mais uma para praticar 👍
É nóis que voa 😅
Tmj galera! Hahahaha
Hey Stephanie, the idea of first NOT showing tabs is great. This way you can start playing by ear faster since there is no temptation to read the tabs before even listening and analyzing the melody.
Also, thanks to you I've found a few songs that make me move and FEEL the melody - and Beltaine now is also in the list of these songs!
Thanks for what you are doing!
By the way, for how long have you been playing tin whistle now?
@@JohnIvess about 4 years now 😊
I heard you voice on a debt advert and I think it the first time I didn’t skip a add 😂
Oh, I'm going to have fun playing that low D section :D Thanks again Stephanie, great tutorial as usual.
I can't believe it, i've been searching tutorials about this glorious song and you have done it, lots of thanks!!!
I have always like this song & you did a great job
Nice one there Cutie pie well done very nice tune.
This is one the songs that made me want to learn the whistle, thank you so much ❤
wow! when i think of irish I think of this exact sound! finally picked up my tin whistle after a very long time of being to intimidated to play it! so excited to start again!
Awesome i had been waiting this song so much time!!! Thx you so much!!!
It is as always a pleasure, thank you very much for all your effort!😃 Greetings from Germany!
Beautiful!!! I'll definitely need to learn this before next Beltane!!
wait...you're gonna play Beltaine by Beltaine, on Beltane!?
absolute mad man :]
._.
@@heebieggs - Maybe I'll learn it before Nov. 1st and send it to someone in the Southern Hemisphere!!
Finally some good tin whisle content. You inspired me to continue playing after quite long break. Thanks for sharing tabs and good techniques. Greetings from Poland
Pleasee i want "Helvegen" from you. Pleaaaseee. I love your channel so much. Please cover "Helvegen" with your awesome style. Very thanks.
А very beautiful tune😍 thank you very much for numerous ideas of what to play
I really love you playing first the tune and blend in the tabs / do the tutorial afterwards.
Great job Stephanie on a beautiful song. Thanks for making the video!
Thanks for the wonderful lesson 👍❤️🙏👏
Aaawww i can play it in my Beltane rites!!! I LOVE youuuuuu thank youuuu
Great tutorial this song was already in my learning list really thank you i'm going to learn it !
Looking forward to this and I can use my new Tony Dixon low D whistle!!
Wonderful!
How have I never heard this before? 😳 It's so lovely 😍 thank you for the tutorial, I know what I'll be doing all weekend now! 😂
Thank's for the tutorial
Love the tone of the MK whistle.
I cant belive i found this!!! i was listeing to this song for some time now and was trying to get it by ear. Thank you!
Beautiful.
Beautiful music!
Every time I hear you play this at the start of the video, I think like "Wow, you are really good". I've been trying to learn to play this tune, because I'm very happy with my Lir Low D whistle and this tune plays well on it. I am certainly making progress, mostly reading it from my notebook while playing and getting it into muscle memory. By checking how you play it, I have an idea of how much more practice I need.
OH MY GOOOOD I LOVE YOUUU
I love these songs that combine playing both high and low whistle. As always, amazing job. That second part with the low D whistle is much harder than what it looks like. Need to keep practicing myself 😉
Was waiting for this piece! :D
Oh thank you. It is so funny and beautiful and magic. I was looking for a tutorial at spring - nothing so I just forgot but now the song came to me again and you made it!
I'm definitely going to try this one out in the privacy of my car later.
I'm so glad to hear that I am not the only one who has to practice in the car! In fact, I keep a whistle in the car with me at all times, and pull it out at traffic lights or when stuck traffic. Helps a lot with not getting impatient with traffic, and gives me extra play time. Traffic lights now get a rating: that's a two-song-light, or this one's a half-song-light... ;)
I’m so late to the party lol. Thank you for this tutorial, I absolutely adore this song. Wish you all the best. Thanks again.
Hi Cutiepie. Greetings from Chile! Thank you very much for these beautiful lessons. What a pleasure to have found your channel on RUclips. I hope to learn very quickly to play my D tin whistle with your help.
Thank you very much, I love you❤
from Italy!😉
Oh, my gosh, this sounds so incredible!
Hopefully I'll learn it by next Beltaine. :)
You are incredibly inspirational. . . Thank You so much for your dedication, fun personality and approach to music. . . . :)
Amazing
Nice
That was beautiful. 💙
This is a great job.
Beautiful 😁👌🏻❤️
Don't you have guitar tab from this music? It's amazing! You play a lot! I'm from Brazil and I really appreciate your songs! Congrats! 👏 👏 👏
I appriciate a a lot, a lot your beautiful work. Thank you. I have a tip for a next song that I would like to learn...but it would be easier with you :) and your video. The beautiful song is: Talisk - echo - you will like it.
I love this! Thank you for such wonderful video instructions! Where is a good place to get a tin whistle? I love hearing the Celtic music on it! You have inspired me to start playing again!
I usually recommend a cheap one to get started with: ruclips.net/video/9CXpoO_H60A/видео.html
Beautiful tune. You had a little dissonance on the the little wistle high registry. Have you ever tried using tape to flatten notes. It has lesser effect on lower notes but can pull down sharp higher notes.😊
This is quite a good tune for a beginner to practice some ornamentation. Unfortunately, I sound terrible trying to reach the notes in the second octave haha
I've learned I need a few whistles, just so I can practice a bit more. I seem to get them to the point I have to clean and let rest. So I do that and pick up the next one and carry on.
Fera Muito Massa! ! !
Please can you go a little in depth on how to play Arabian flute and the key notes for beginner like me.Thank you.
Hey there! I was wondering if there iz anyway you can learn/transcribe the song farewell to govan by paul winter. It is a beautiful song, and i think it is originally composed on a flute... It would be awesome to hear a tin whistle version.
Hi thank you very much for all your nice videos and especially for this video of my beloved band
Glad I found your channel enjoying it very much! Do you have a lesson for the traditional English folk tune, One Early Morning? I can't find one for tin flute online and not sure it is suited for a D flute but could you do a lesson it if possible?
Send me a link to a version you like on RUclips, I'll check it out :)
@@CutiepieTinWhistle So I must confess the reason for wanting to learn this song and reason I bought my tin flute is for nostalgia. Early One Morning was the opening theme of a children's TV show I grew up with in Canada called The Friendly Giant. In the clip the song starts around 40 seconds into the clip and is harp with tin flute? I've also posted another clip I just found of someone plying it on tin flute. My flute is a D so I'm hoping it is possible in that key? Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

hello from france :-) tanks for your great job. i am a harmonica player but i am starting to learn tin whistel with your tabs :-) just one question , how can i have the backing track of baltaine like you play on ? merci et bravo :-)
Hi it's Alan, love this song , keep providing new music. Also the song request I asked earlier you can watch on RUclips. The song is from the movie alien covenant and it is alien covenant ots life flute version elegy to Elizabeth shaw. I would like to copy it on music blanks after you play it on RUclips. Thanks for all the great songs.
Hi, it's Alan also
from France :)
hi stephanie, what a beautiful song this is, never heard it before but I instantly fell in love with it.
i found a little mistake in your notation in the video. in the first line in your low d part, it says bag but it should be gab (that is what you play) it's the third time you play it.
Oh, I must have missed one 😆 I changed a few I spotted. Never mind, just play what sounds right!
Love this song but very much a beginner and trying to learn a few things; watching the tabs and the placement of the fingers looks off in a few spots. I just don't see the left hand index finger coming off during higher D notes (maybe I just can't see it) and on certain E notes it's not documents but the right hand middle finger flutters as if it's multiple quick notes but only one tab.
Hello, Stephanie! Just found a miss in tabs - 6:31 the last note you play is "e" , but in video tabs it's "f#"
It sounded disturbing and for a couple of days i couldn't get what was wrong
P.s. Thank you for your tutorials , you're one of a few tin whistle teachers that i've found through the RUclips and the whole internet as well , if not you ,i couldn't reach that level i'm on . So keep up this awesome work ! Still waiting Divinity 2 covers ,if it's possible with whistle of course 😅
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
hello, greetings from chile, could you make a tutorial on "the sleeping voice" or "the book of shadows" by mägo de oz? , I would very much like you to do it.
Send me a link to a version you like on RUclips, I'll check it out :)
@@CutiepieTinWhistle I'm going to send you the link through your official instagram account
Hi Stephanie, which do you like better: your MK Pro Low D, or the Lir Low D? I received my Lir Low D last weekend and am getting to grips with the piper's grip. I like the sound very much.
They're very different whistles! I can't say I've played the Lir low D enough yet to decide
Can you make a tutorial in song of Gaunter O'Dim, please?
If you had a 6 hole native american flute in the key of D, would the tab be the same?
Muito linda, na parte do tutorial da LOW o comecinho tá errado né?
Hey, I'm sure you just popped up on a Lance210 Pranks video!

Hello! Do you have a link to the accompaniment?
👏 👍 😊 🎶
Hi how did you get the backing keyboards
thank you :v
Could you please let me know where I can stream/download the backing track to play along with? Thank you!
I didn't use a backing track for this one, I just played with the original version of the song, you can find it on RUclips 😊
@@CutiepieTinWhistle Thanks very much - it sounds beautiful!
Hello! Can you share where i can find the complete finger chart? I can’t find in the internet 🥲 thanks

Is your High D whistle one or 2 octaves above the Low D? Is there a middle D whistle?
I'm currently a blues harp player but I'm interested in learning to play the whistle. On harmonica the standard register keys go from G3 to F#4 and anything above F#4 is called High Octave while anything below G3 is called Low Octave. Are whistle keys labeled similarly?
Low whistle is an octave lower than high whistle :)
The Low D is D above middle C. The High D (also called soprano, or tin whistle, or plain D) is one octave higher.
Most whistles have a two-octave range, and some can reach a little higher than that.
Where do you buy your whistles?
This is a great list of whistle makers if you're interested :) www.howardmusic.co.uk/tin-whistle/
I mainly buy mine online. You can usually order direct from the whistle maker's website :) I have links to these two whistles in the video description, but you can buy some whistles from Amazon or Ebay too :)
@@sahamal_savu anything that ships to the Philippines?
@@WorldWide3strada This maker is in New Zealand so I'm sure that wouldn't take too long to arrive. He has some interesting stuff on his site apart from the whistles: drjohnlaurence.com/takahe-flutes
Also I'm sure James Becker would send you some whistles, he is located in Missouri, USA but he ships worldwide www.beckerwhistles.com/
